All words, so sallow
Neither joy, nor misery
No feeling compares
Too intricate to describe
Or too basic to admit
A tanka is a very similar verse form to a haiku but a little longer, with unrhymed 5-7-5-7-7 syllable lines as opposed to 5-7-5. I know what event this describes, but I don't think I'm ready to reveal it here. It's a rather versatile poem, though, so I suppose it could describe many a situation with complex feelings. Any comments whatsoever would be super-dee-duper, in my quest to resurrect the fan works section of the Vinny.
