A quick open form poem in the form of a prayer spoken to Farore before a battle.
A Prayer for Courage
Oh Goddess Farore,
the hour doth grow dire.
The battle has yet begun,
but the funeral pyres grow higher.
Oh Goddess Farore,
how we cower and shake.
The west doth grow darker,
so please shine some light for our sake.
Oh Goddess Farore,
shine thy light and give us hearts of heroes past.
The thieves and monsters of West come,
and our spirits will not last.
Oh Goddess Farore,
we believe thy Sister chose the darker side.
For stronger beasts advance,
while us men turn shy and hide.
Oh Goddess Farore,
shine down thy golden light.
For though we are but men who weep and beg,
all we need is thy courage to stand and fight.
Oh Goddess Farore,
the battle is soon upon us.
We praise thee for this courage,
because fight for our hearts and land we must.
