"Shadow: Part II", chapter 12Shadow: Part IIBy: OkichanThe crescent moons light was disturbed now and then by the passing cloud. Another soul watched it from the cold comfort of another part of the world. his blood red eyes searing with a boiling emptiness. and his skeleton fingers tightening and loosening on the hilt of his two scimitars. the creature let out a breath of hot air, the icy wind ruffling his black robes and his hood which concealed the torturous face that he had under it. Blazeraven grunted and his eyes turned into slivers of red glowing light, he moved back into the safety of his cave. His feet barely making foot steps in the snow, he came into the darkness, stepping onto the plush rug and flinging his two swords scabbards angrily at the wall. They clanked to the ground as he took a seat in a chair at the back of his dwellings. He drummed his fingers on the arm of his chair and put his black boots up onto a foot stole a few feet away. "Where is that pig?!" His throaty voice asked the darkness that surrounded him. his terrible voice echoed off the walls, and there came no reply. The Garo master, an ultimate fighter and martial artist, his mind stirred with images of killing and death. Blazeraven stilled drummed his fingers over the cold arm of his chair, waiting for something to happen to him. "That pig costs me to much trouble." he said to himself. Blazeraven closed his eyes and grabbed a grail of wine sitting next to him chair and sipped it, trying to calm his exhilarated nerves and senses and he looked back into the darkness. trying to reflect upon his own actions in the last few days, his mind once again stirred with dark thoughts and he twirled the grail in his hand like a pendulum and laughed at nothing but his own thoughts. "Master!" Came a faint voice from outside his dwelling, the Garo growled at the voice, it was the pig. he thought, he slammed the grail back down onto the table and stood up. "He's ruined my fun, again." He said in a low voice, picking up his scimitars from the ground and strapping them on, he moved towards the entrance to the cave. "Master Blazeraven!" the husky voice came again. Blazeraven looked at the creature as he came closer, riding a large Dodongo and wielding a two headed ax above his head. "The boy, he destroyed them all!" the crazed Moblin shouted, pulling on the reigns of his mount, causing it to bellow and spout a lick of flame into the air. The Moblin stumbled off his Dodongo and came forward to his master, shuffling dryly through the blanket of snow and into the cave. "What do you want pig?" The Garo said, sounding incredibly tired and uninterested. "He killed them, the boy... with the blue eyes, he killed my army!" The Moblin shouted, grabbing and throwing off his helmet and shoulder armor. "You where asking for it, holding a kingdom hostage and all." the Garo mentioned, catching the Moblin off guard and making him yell at nothing in shame. Bloodtooth threw himself at Blazeravens feet and began begging for him forgivness. The Garo laughed and kicked the Moblin in the face for no apparent reason. "Stop blubbering pig, i'll get you more men if you wish!" he said, idly rubbing a bit of dirt between his middle finger and thumb. the Moblin looked up at his master, holding his bloody nose with one gigantic hand. "I want demons this time Master, if you would be so kind! My own people, besides myself are slow and stupid, they don't listen to an order I give them, there cowards!" Bloodtooth ranted, wiping the blood off his snout and beginning the stand up again. "It was pretty cowardly of you to run away pig. And also stupid to leave your army to be killed by the soldiers. I'm not sure if I can trust you anymore." He said airily, looking fiercely upon the suddenly weakened Moblin. "I can do better master, I promise, but the boy...!" he mentioned again. Blazeraven was suddenly interested again. "Boy?" He asked. "The one with the blond hair, and blue eyes, he was working with Malik of Northwind, he was the cause of all of this, he rescued the princess before i could take her to you master, i'm sorry." "Shut up!" Blazeraven snapped. standing up and walking slowly over to the creature. "I don't need a woman's pleasures right now. I want you to tell me the boys name." He demanded. The Moblin strained to think about that, he didn't think that he had learned his name, he suddenly remembered had he hadn't. "I don't know master!" He lowered his head in submission. "Was there another person with him? a Sheikah?" He asked suspiciously. "Yes... yes there was, he was in the forward line with the terrible boy master and he..." Blazeraven smacked the Moblin in the face. "Shut up pig! That's all I need to know, now leave me!" he said, turning the walk into the darkness again. Bloodtooth was terribly confused as he touched the side of his face his master had slapped him, and hissed in pain at it's sting. "But, my master... I'm sorry!" He pleaded forgiveness, daring to step towards his fleeting master. Blazeraven lifted a hand and signaled him away. "I'll have your army again by a weeks time, now leave me be!" he yelled. Bloodtooth sighed and scurried from the cave and out into the snow, the sound of his enormous horse-sized mount riding off into the tundra. The Garo was alone again, in the cool comfort of his darkness, he let out an annoyed breath of air and walked casually through the pitch black room to the only beacon on light, which stung his eyes but was the only light he could see by in his cave. Blazeraven came over to the desk and sat down on a chair near it, he leaned on his elbow and ran a hand over the only object sitting there in the eerie candle light. Grabbing at an amulet on the table and fiddling with it's chain. it twirled and glistened into the fire light. it was a amulet of the Sheikahs ultimate symbol, the eye of truth. Blazeraven put the amulet down and looked into the staring eye of his ancestors. "Sheik, I'll see you again..." He muttered. His laughter came again, he sat
back in his chair and waved a hand over his candle, wafting out the faint light,
his hysteric laughter heightened and melted away in the miserable darkness
surrounding him. A cloud passed in front of the crescent moon.
Sheik sat up in his bed sheets, his breathing coming in short gasps, he wiped the cold sweat off his face and closed his eyes. trying to recuperate from his dream. Sheik looked around him, it was a dark in the tent, but everyone else was still asleep. The Sheikah lay back down in bed, his hands quivering in fear as he clenched his fists and tried to calm his shaken mind. Sheik ran a hand over his shoulder length hair and looked up at the canvas ceiling above him. the only sound he could hear was his own rapid breaths as he tried to come into a usual state of calm. Sheik realized he was slipping out of control of his own conscious dreams now. The Sheikah was suddenly frightened by that thought, he sat up again, and looked around to check and see if everyone was asleep. he could here Link snoring softly a couple feet away. and Mayoree who was next to him twitched her foot and moved once. And sheik knew Dalton was sleeping, because he was snoring the loudest of all. Sheik curled up his legs to his chest and looked blankly forward. he was in the company of friends, and still he didn't feel any calmness come to him. the icy air penetrated him through his blue undersuit. he chattered his teeth and closed his eyes again, but the images only returned. He saw Blazeraven tortured face looming at him, coming out the darkness and laughing at him. he felt his eyes penetrate him like needles, he knew sheiks weakness. The Sheikah couldn't stand it, he opened his red eyes again, and quietly stood up, not making any noise what so ever as he walked to the entrance of the tent, and grabbed his miniature harp from his canvas bag of supplies. Sheik tightened his fingers around the cold metal and ran a finger down one of the strings, his face emotionless and calmed all of a sudden by it's beauty. Sheik looked out to the starry night, the woods seemed to call his name, beckoning him out into the cold spring air. Sheik obeyed that call, walking out into the star light, his feet touching the mossy flora as he walked over to a nearby log, covered with beautiful moss and lichen. Sheik sat down on the nurse log, setting his head back on a branch and letting out a long, calming breath of air. Sheik looked up at the stairs, occasionally blocked out by tree branches, reaching towards the emptiness of the sky above him. sheik wanted to smile at that moment, just smile at the beauty of things, but he tried, and the emptiness in the pit of his heart grew a little more as he tried. Sheiks quivering hand ran over his bare face as he tried to prevent himself from crying, he didn't know why he suddenly wanted to cry, he felt weak at that moment. Sheik gripped his harp and his quivering fingers plucked one of the strings, causing a calming hum sound. Sheik felt the emptiness desist a little from his heart. Sheik plucked a few more chords, making up a sound and melody that he repeated several times. Sheik felt the music flow through him, it was his comfort in his time of need. Sheik closed his eyes and let the music come out of his system. his fingers stopped quivering again, and he felt the music just come to him, flowing through his fingers from his heart. "Your music is so sad." Came a soft woman's voice. Sheik gasped, and almost dropped his harp. He realized that it was Mayorees voice, and that she was standing only three feet away. Sheik sat up, a little startled by her stealth she had on her feet. In her ability to get so close to him. Sheik suddenly realized he didn't have his mask on. Mayoree watched as he looked away from her, refusing to show his face. "I thought you where asleep." Sheik mentioned, his voice back to the soft emotionless tone in had in it before. Mayoree felt her voice catch in the lump in her throat, she suddenly felt uncomfortable standing there, dumbly watching as Sheik waited for an answer. "Your music woke me up Sheik." She said in a low voice, Mayoree slowly sat next to him on the log, trying curiously to get a look at his face. "I know a song i can sing, if it will make up for my startling you Sheik, I'm sorry." She apologized, putting her hands in her lap and looking out into the dark woods. "Why won't you show me your face without that silly mask on?" She asked, feeling a little strange. "Because it's a tradition on my heritage, not to show my face to women whom I am not helping out of crisis or married to..." He explained. Mayoree started to smile. "I'm not of your heritage though, so wouldn't it be all right?" Mayoree asked softly, hoping for him the understand her curiosity. "You want to see what I look like?" Sheik asked, seeming a little confused. "Yes, of course I do, i've wanted to know what you look like under there the first day i saw you!" She said kindly. Sheik removed his hand, and the smile disappeared from her face, and was replaced by wonder and awe. "you look exactly like Link!" She gasped. Sheik looked into her stunned eyes for a second, then fell away. Mayoree would have called him Link, except as she looked closer, his differences became more apparent. She thought he had the most beautiful eyes, they where tilted at the corners and had a fold of skin on the top lid that made them even more so. His hair had the same style to it, except it was longer. but he didn't have that glowing, kind look that Link did. His face didn't seem as open to smile as his cousin. But his eyes still had that intelligence burning in them, that determination. "I would prefer to put my mask back on now." Sheik said in a low voice, he seemed a little uncomfortable sitting there as she gawked at him. Mayoree nodded. Sheik slipped his mask on over his nose and head, until he was concealed from her again. "Would you like me to sing? You can play the melody on your harp." She
suggested. Sheik sighed, and nodded, holding up his harp and listening for her
to start. He suddenly felt more secure in Mayoree company, and felt that he knew
her a bit better as she began. When the sun sets, my dearest, sing no sad song for me, plant thou no roses at the hills, or wild red berries sweet I shall not see the shadows, I shall not feel the rain, I shall not hear the nighten gale, sing on, as if in pain.
And if you weep, my dearest, sing no sad song for me, for I will be there by mornings light, and your plights will be redeemed. I shall not touch the willows, with roots and dew leaves wet, I shall not hear the wolves ballot, echo on, to the nights not met.
Go to the hills, my dearest, but sing no sad song for me, and if you dance along the trails, or see red berries sweet, I shall not see by mornings star, I shall not taste the rain, I shall not hear the dragons songs, cry on, with the voice of bane.
and gleaming through the twilight, with showers and dew drops wet, nor if thou wilt remember, nor if thou wilt forget. Sheik stopped on a low chord and looked over at Mayoree. "That song sounded like a lullaby." Sheik mentioned. "It was very sad, but very beautiful at the same time." he said. "Yes, my mother use to sing it to me when I was a child, though I wasn't very old until she died, maybe three, or four. What about you? What happened to your mother?" Sheiks expression turned hard. "She was murdered by a group of Hylians." Sheik said in a low but truthful voice, he sighed again and looked at Mayoree out of the corner of his eye. "Your troubled because of Link, aren't you?" Sheik asked. Mayoree looked a little startled, she was just thinking about that. "How did you..." "My sensei taught me how to use a little telepathy if I wanted to, but I don't pry into peoples minds very often, only if I'm in battle or I'm curious about what there thinking about." He explained to her. Mayoree was a little scared all of a sudden, but also curios of him, he seemed more and more a kinder and neater person every time she talked to him, but Mayoree thought there was also something very sad looming around him. "He cares about you very much Mayoree..." Sheik said, bringing her back from her train of thought. "I know Link does, he's just not good at showing it." She grumbled, but she couldn't seem to get angry at him anymore these days. "He's just unsure of himself right now, Link has always had a hard time showing his deepest emotions, it's just who he is. I guess it sort of runs in the family." Sheiks voice trailed off, and Mayoree suddenly felt a little sympathy towards Sheik, though she still couldn't figure him out. "Why is your music so sad Sheik?" she asked. Sheik chuckled a little. "Because the world is a sad place!" He said.
It was mid afternoon, the sun beat down on the bare ground, and heat waves began to rise from the heated ground of the grass field. golden locks of grass, untouched by winters nipping cold blew carelessly in the light wind. The party of four moved over the trails, away from the magical town of Haltemi and off to the northwest. Mayoree's spirited mare, Shakti was incredible impatient this fine morning, and Mayoree was having a time controlling her from bursting into a run. Dalton was riding on Lev with Link walked the horse along, watching as Mayoree laughed and disciplined her mare, seeming quite amused by it's care free attitude this morning. "Having trouble May?" Link asked. Mayoree nodded, trying to secure the reigns as the playful thing began dancing and goose stepping forward, trying to gain some speed on her disciplining owner. "That horse seems to suit you well." Sheik said, his voice hinting in laughter as he lingered a little behind Link. Dalton grunted and Link rolled his eyes as he made the third comment about his own view on horses that morning. "Dreadful icky things horses, never liked them that much you know!" He said, his thick accent and voice pounding in Links ear. Dalton looked over Lev tall sides and bit his lip. "It is a far fall down there friend Link, I only wish I could have bought a lovely pony, so much better and tamer... I do like ponies, except for that one who kicked me so very hard in the jaw." he went on. "Remember that where only letting you come along because..." Link started, but was rudely interrupted as Dalton made an offended gasp. Dalton suddenly sounded insulted and snapped his fingers in the air. "Because why? I'm this silly sage person with a medallion, and I still say that little creature stole it from me, i really do, and you know what. I believe that..." "Shut up!" Mayoree managed to yelled out, causing Link to shake his head and smile at the mages cringing reaction as he recoiled back from her. "Rather pushy, isn't she friend Link?" Dalton said in a low voice. "I heard that short man!" Mayoree growled, not even looking over at him as he cringed again and whimpered helplessly. Link looked into Levs black eyes as he grunted and kicked both of his back legs, causing Dalton, who was on the horse to scream and clutch his heart. "Dreadful beast!" He said between gasps. Lev grunted and kicked out harder this time, causing Link to burst out in laughter as Dalton tried to secure himself again. They came over the last hill, sheik holding out his map to confirm there detonation that day. As they made in up onto the valley's summit and looked over at the town below, Link instantly got a whiff of something he didn't like about the village as soon as he laid eyes on it. Link took Lev's reigns tightly in his hand and started down the hill. ' let's just try to spend as little time as we can here." he said over his shoulder to Mayoree and Sheik, who both nodded in agreement, all of there sixth senses, that warrior sense had kicked in already. "What are you tall people all looking so serious about, the place looks
perfectly harmless to me." Dalton said from Levs back. Link gave him a
threatening look. "All right, jolly good! I'll go along with the plan." He shut
his mouth the rest of the way down the hill.
The red evening sky loomed it's light down on the village, dusty roads full of strange desert people roamed the streets. it was surprisingly chilly though, Link could see the mist freezing of the glass of the window as he looked outside. The restaurant was a little rickety, and old, with a stove fire brewing in the far corner. But for once, it was quiet, except for the conversation going on between Dalton, Sheik and Mayoree as they talked about the plan for tomorrow. Link wasn't interested, he was just tired. He was tired of this whole thing, he didn't want to be out here, but it was his mission. his muscles ached, he wanted to sleep, he couldn't seem too for the last few nights, at least, not very well. and he was never fully awake during the day. "Link, what do you think?" Came Sheiks voice. Link was a little startled, he looked away from the window and absently over at Sheik. Who seemed a little puzzled by his blank expression. "What?" Link said in a low voice. Sheiks expression turned a little concerned. "I asked what do you think we should do with the medallions?" He repeated. "What options are there?" He asked. Mayoree growled and jabbed him in the ribs, causing him to cringe and wince in pain. "You dolt, haven't you been listening!" She didn't seem to pleasant at that moment. "Thick headed moron!" She growled again, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. "I was thinking about something." Link said, catching himself before he yawned. "I think your choice at this point would not be the wisest in the world Link, i advice you sit this one out." Sheik corrected, Link nodded lazily and looked out of the window again, taking a sip of the hot tea in his hand to warm his cold insides. Link closed his eyes and let the conversation drift away from him. His head was fuzzy from his lack of rest, and he felt like he would probably collapse any second. he couldn't even think he was so tired. Link opened his heavy eyes and looked across the way. He had been watching a group of people muddling around a table to the right of the alley he was looking down, though he couldn't make out what was going on, he suddenly suspected something. A gang maybe? The interested Hylian watched as a large box was lifted onto the platform, with a buff looking hylian leaning over it and pointing at it as the people watched. Link couldn't make sense of what they where doing until he saw what was in the box. An animal? A panther! Link leaned towards the window and squinted his eyes, what was a panther of all creatures doing all the way up here, the bewildered man thought. Though it didn't concern him much, it was something to watch. "It's an auction." he said under his breath. his throat suddenly tightened and he stood up, his suspicious eyes still staring out of the window as something white caught his eye. "Friend Link? What are you doing?" Dalton asked, looking him over, confused. "There selling..." he said, turning and jogging for the door, his throat tightened even more as he went, cutting off the last of his words. The flash of the intelligent yellow eyes, the black markings. "There selling what?" Mayoree said after him, but it didn't reach as the door
slammed shut with a bang. Mayoree started to rise from the table, adjusting her
brown dress and pulling nervously at the bow string across her chest. Sheik
caught her hand tightly and nodded for her to wait for him.
Link could hear the auctioneers voice ring out the prices to be had into the street as the costumers raised there eager hands into the air. He ran a little faster, unnerved and suddenly disgusted as the huge cage was pushed onto the platform further. Murmurs of delight broke out as the white female wolf paced back and forth in her cage. Link ran faster, reaching the crowd and trying to push to the front, desperate to see what he dreaded was true. Link shoved a larger Goron out of his path, the rock eater grumbled and cursed him as he reached to table, weary and out of breath. "I'll give you three hundred rupee for that beast!" Came a shout in the back. Link looked at the wild wolf as she paced, her ears flat and her brilliant eyes darted about in a nervous, scared fashion. Link suddenly felt helpless, how could they sell this wolf, his wolf. "five hundred!" Came another voice, a couple feet to the right, the auctioneer, an ugly man with balding salt and pepper hair and a three toothed grin cackled and banged the cage with his fist. Causing the white wolf to bare her fangs and lung for his side of the cage, causing laughter through out the din. Link couldn't take anymore of this, he was about to utter his bid, trying to think about the amount of his money he had left. "Link, what are you doing." Came a familiar whisper. Link looked over, his eyes full of worry to see Mayoree, Sheik, and the clumsy Dalton behind him. Links eyes looked back to the wolf for a heart beat, then at Mayoree again. "I'll explain later." He whispered. her brow frowned in confusion as Link dug into his money pouch and took out as many rupees as he could handle. "One thousand two hundred!" he shouted up at the old man, who looked a little over whelmed, his one good eye, (the other was blind,) looked down as his hand as he scattered the money onto the platform. disappearing moans and conversations broke out as the old man, not bothering to take any higher bid scooped up the money and said to his face. "The beast is yours boy." "Link!" Mayorees eyes widened in surpass, she grabbed him roughly by the arm and looked him in the eye. Link put a hand on her shoulder. Dalton got up next to him and shook his head. "I believe that was a rather crazy decision friend, i wouldn't have wagered that much for a beast that..." Sheik stepped next to dalton and purposely tredded on his foot, ending his little rant. "Dishrag..." The short man said very quietly. "Trust me, all of you, I need your help transporting it to the Inn." Link said, his voice drained of strength. The wolf was pushed to the side and the people started onto the next exotic creature to come into play. Link could feel Sheiks probing stare on his neck as he and the others stepped over to the wolfs cage and grabbed the tether that was attached to one side. the wolf lunged for them all, her fangs bared. link looked over the creature, and noticed how mangy and skinny it had become since last time he had seem it. Link gulped, trying to destroy the itching knot in his throat. Sheik carefully approached the cage and leaned down to calming look the creature over. Then he put his piercing eyes back on Link, narrowing them in a way Link
didn't like at all, Sheik had probably already figured the whole situation out,
and Link was never sure what his reaction would be.
The flickering candle reflected a calming glow off of the knotted wood walls. the room was silent as the Sheikah leaned down next to the animal laying in a tired heap on the floor. His red eyes kindly looked over the three month old pup. her rythmic breathing calming as he stroked the back of his hand across her exhausted fur. "She's been beaten, and she's under nourished as well..." He said in a low murmur. the room was still silent as the pup twitched it's paw, tongue hanging out of it's open jaws and eyes half open, not blinking. Mayoree shifted uncomfortably. "What should we do with it?" She asked. Sheik shook his head, looking at her and seeming out of things to say. He looked quickly over at Link. he was hunched up against a bed post, watching the creature with an intense, almost painful look in his eye. Sheik looked back to Mayoree and Dalton, who both looked up at him. "I need to talk with Link for a minute..." He said quietly, though Link probably heard what he said, he didn't make any change in his movement or worried, fevered expression at all. Mayoree looked a little bewildered, then glanced over at Link and stood up, grabbing Dalton by the arm and gave him a push towards the door. she looked over her shoulder at Link once and then closed the door with a soft click. Sheik stood up and crossed his arms, his eyes emotionless he stared blankly at his cousin, who didn't return his gaze, still looking down at the pup. "Why did you do that?" Sheik asked very quietly. Links eyes darted over at Sheik, then back to the pup. "I had to... I can't explain it..." Link said, his voice had a hardness to it Sheik hadn't heard for a long time. Sheik let out a deep sigh and closed his eyes. "I know why, you feel bonded to this animal don't you?" Sheik said, not opening his eyes. Links frowned, his eyes darted back at Sheik again. "Don't think I don't remember the Wolf Demon my cousin." He said, starting to walked forward, slowly towards Link, he shook his head. "I feel the guilt of killing that thing as well but..." He was cut off as Link began talking. "You didn't see the look in it's eyes, it wasn't a demon, it was being puppeted, controlled, whatever you call it!!" Link said, throwing his hands in the air he stood up and buried his hands into his temples, pulling back his blond hair. "I can't get the image out of my mind Sheik, not since I've seem this wolf, at the camp sight, on the river bank!!" Links voice gathered intensity as he spoke. Sheik cocked his head. "You feel bonded to this animal in a strange way?" He asked. Link nodded fiercely, then groaned and rocked on his heels. "You believe this animal is an extension of your own self, an image of you?" Sheik asked wearily. Link looked over at him suspiciously. Link nodded slightly, he was suddenly worried. his head pounded with his exhaustion. "I thought so..." Sheik's voice trailed off and he turned and looked over at the animal, laying helpless and exhausted on the woven rug. "What do you think?" Link asked, his voice hard again, sounding like he had said it through gritted teeth. Sheik looked at him again, his eyes emotionless. "Gaea reincarnation, your spirits must have met in another life Link." Sheik said. Link squinted his eyes in a threatening glare. "Gaea?" Link said. "It's the word that explains spirit, soul, whatever you want to call it." Sheik explained. Link cradled his head again and sighed deeply. "Gaea..." Link said in a low voice, he suddenly felt calmer, looking over at the wolf, he looked into the creatures eyes as she blinked lazily. Gaea, that's a good name. Link thought, Sheik smiled all of a sudden. "That shall be her name then, Gaea." He said. Link couldn't help but smile a little, Sheik came over and put his hands on Links shoulders. "You have been through enough experiences for today, get some rest my friend, i'll take care of Gaea..." he said, Link nodded and headed wearily towards the door and closed it with a quiet 'click'. Sheik calmly looked over his shoulder as the wolf regained a little strength, turning her head towards him and righting her self onto her stomach. Sheik ran a hand over her muzzle and she growled at him, but he knew she was to weak to bite him. Sheiks eyes smiled. "Let's go out to the forest my friend." Sheik said into her pointed black ears. "You can find a home from there." The wolfs brilliant yellow eyes flashed in recognition as sheik rose again the animal went with him, tail high as weak legs slowly carrying it across the floor. Sheik leaned over and stuck his hand into his bag, pulling out a cold piece of cooked meat, the wolf came up and slowly, ever so slowly, began to nibble on it. Sheik ran his hand back over the pups ears, and without his surpass, the pup didn't cringe in fear or growl. "I hope your encounter with Link doesn't effect him like i dread it will my friend, he had been through to much pain in his life already." Sheik said to the animal, who's questioning stare loomed on him. Sheik lead the animal into the cold night air, out onto the cold ground and near the edge of the forest, the wolf bounded forward, the beast's strength was regained as it leapt away into the trees, looked back once, and disappeared. Sheik watched it go, then returned inside. |
