Night falls.
Embers blaze
In a world so dark;
So engulfed in shadow
That the sun withers
Away in a sea
Of black clouds:
A darkness that your
Absence only serves
To lengthen and empower.
The expanse of a once
Free sky, is now
Bound in unearthly ropes;
Tied down and in bondage;
Suffering and in submission
Are the precious souls
Of Hyrule.
Hero:
I beseech thee;
Come forth from
Yonder yellowed page
That doth so lightly
Touch mine hand.
Breath life from
The semblances of
These deadened pages...
Awaken.
Save this dimming world
From burning out.
Let not the flame of freedom
Be doused by a sea of
Apathetic Swordsman,
Who live by the sword
And die by their
Coward's leave.
Hero... Time doth not
Change your visage,
Nor does evil cause your
Firm grounding
To tremble or fear.
Arise from your slumber,
Wherever you may be,
And rescue this world
From its deathly misery.
