As Link ran out of the castle, he remembered what Zelda had said about Ganondorf. He knows the future. The words rang through his mind unitl...
well, Link was back in the Market. He never even noticed, unitl someone called his name. Guess who it was? It was Malon.
"Link! Over here! It's Malon!" she yelled.
Of course Link knew it was Malon. He had heard her voice tons of times before. He was her boyfriend.
"Hey, Malon! What's up? What are you doing here?"
"I was here waiting for you. What took you so long?" she demanded.
"Well, you know Zelda and I are best friends." Malon had a disgusted look on her face.
"But to make a long story short, we had a fight." he added quickly.
This had made a smile on Malon's face. She then said, "Well, I'd like to hear the whole story."
"But..but.." Link spammered.
"No buts. I was once your best friend, now your girlfriend. So I need to hear everyhting."
Link sighed, but he decided to tell her the whole story. He knew that if he didn't tell her, he and Malon might have a big fight themselves. And he didn't want to have a fight in one day with the two girls he loved. Loved.
Oh my god! Link loved Zelda! He loved her so much, he sometimes regrets he's Malon's boyfriend! He's in deeply in-
"Link! Please tell me!" Malon interrupted Link's day dreaming. Oh, well. He knew he'd have to tell her sooner or later.
Link told Malon the whole story, every single detail. The only thing he didn't tell her was about Ganondorf. He couldn't tell Malon about his and Zelda's business. It wasn't hers. Girlfriend or not, it still wasn't her business.
"That's all? That's all that happened? Man, that's the stupidest fight I've ever heard of. I thought you and Zelda were best friends."
"We are. It's just that...It's just that...."
He didn't know what to say. What would he say, anyways? He couldn't answer the last question, but he could answer the first two.
"Malon, didn't we ever fight before? Before you were my girlfriend? Over silly things? Well, sorry to say this, but every time we had a fight, I had to go over to Zel's. She is one of my best friends. Even though I have tons of friends"
On the other hand, our fight was more stupid than this one. We fought over silly things before. What about the time you and I weren't talking to each other since you decided that you hated me? The day we met? That's was the sillest thing that's ever happened in history!"
Malon had to agree to that. That was the silliest thing she'd ever done. When Malon layed a eye on Link for the first time, she saw he was a forest boy and quickly decided she didn't like him. But when Link stopped at the ranch for help, Malon just ignored Link and answered him sourly when he asked her questions.
Then, Malon noticed Link didn't care she didn't like him, so he just left saying goodbye.
Then the next week, Link came back. Not for help, but to say a speech to Malon.
"Malon, for no reason you hate me. What have I done to you? Is it my looks or is it my looks?"
Malon didn't want to laugh, but she choked back a laugh.
"I like you anyway or not, even though I your not on my dot."
Malon couldn't help it. She laughed this time.
"So, Malon, even though you hate me and I don't hate you, then we should at least know each other better. We don't have to be firends, but not enemies. So could you please, please give me a chance?"
"Yes!" Malon yelled as though Link has asked her to marry him.
Link smiled at the thought of that memory.
"Good times, very good times." Link said.
"You wish!" Malon replied. She started cracking up.
"No, I mean very good times."
"Stop joking around! Of course you don't!"
"Yes, I do."
"No, you don't."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Who's arguing?"
That was Talon.
"Umm..it was us Dad." answered Malon.
"Why were u two fighting?" he demanded.
Malon glanced at Link with a Have any idea what to say? look. Link shook his head, sighed then said, "We were just..we were just-"
Link forgot why he and Malon were arguing. Why were they? He faced. Malon.
"Malon, why were we arguing?"
"Geez, I forgot."
Malon faced Talon. He then said, "Well,I guess no problem here. Later Malon. Link." He went off back to work leaving the two children doing nothing.
"Why were we fighting?" Link asked right away after Talon was out of sight.
"I have no idea. Well, maybe because-" Malon remembered why.
"We were arguing about the thought of when we first met. I said you didn't think it were good times, you said I they were good times."
"That was such a silly fight. Silliest so far!" Link started cracking up. Then Malon joined in.
"Yeah, then we brake up!" Malon cracked up more. But Link didn't think that was funny.
"Well, I better be going back to the forest now. Later, Malon."
"Bye!" Malon waved good-bye.

At the forest, Link went stright to Saria's house. He knocked on the door first.
"Who is it!" Saria's voice asked.
"It's me." Link asnwered back.
"Come right in!"
In the house, Saria was sitting on her bed reading something. When she saw Link, she put her book down.
"What's up, Link?"
"I have a problem, Sar."
"What's that?"
"Well, I'm thinking of breaking up with Malon."
"Why?"
"We fight over silly things. Today we had such a silly fight."
"What fight?"
Link gave her all details aout their stpid fight.
"Well, to be honest with you, Link, I can't help you with this. I can't help you decide with your relationships. I'm sorry."
"That's alright. Well, I'd better be going to sleep now. 'Night, Sar.
"'Night Link."
Back in his house, Link couldn't go to sleep. He went up to his desk, picked up a pen and a piece of paper and wrote on it: Should I brake up with Malon? []-yes []-no
Link thought it over and over, but finally he decided to go to sleep.
In the morning, Link got up, had breakfast, looked at his sheet and marked down an answer on his sheet.
~()~
After marking down his answer, Link went back to the ranch right away. When Malon answered, Link said right away, "Malon, I've decided to break up with you."
