Chapter 2 by hyllianguard
“I cannot believe the foolishness of you two.” Said Sheak. Ionia, Dir, Sheak, Sherai, and two Sheakian Guards were in a very fancy room in the just conquered Gerudue Fortress.
“I’m sorry sir I ordered Dir to take the prisoners out of the jail before he blew it up.” Ionia was right in the middle of Dir and Sherai. Considering he was the highest of rank.
“Sorry isn’t going to restore the lives lost within the fortress.” When Sheak was this mad you can expect a punishment. “You Sherai why didn’t you realize that there were civilians in the jail.”
“Please sir I’m sorry I”- Dir interrupted Sherai in her Defense.
“Sir please don’t blame Sherai in this matter. She is only 13. It is I who shall pay the price.” It took a while for Sheak to think about the consequence.
“Very well but it seems everyone will have to pay the price. Ionia, I sentence you to drop your rank by 1 for the next battle. You Sherai, your punishment is to sit out the next battle.” Everyone stiffened Dirs punishment was next who knows how horrible it will be.
“Your punishment Dir, I’m sorry but your punishment is to return to Hyrule Castle.”
Dir was in horror. “Sir please reconsider I need the money for my family I can’t pay for food, I”- He was Interrupted by the raise of Sheaks hand. “I’m sorry, I have made my Decision. Dir second to Ionia, you are dismissed.” With his final words he told the guards to escort Dir out of Gerudue Valley and on the carriage back to the Market.
“Ionia, Sherai is your new second in command use her wisely we don’t want word of a 13 year olds death about.”
Ionia shrugged he didn’t like the idea of having to replace a high night with a young woman even thought she wanted her to gain some experience. “Yes Sir! I will treat her with care.”
“Good now get some rest we have to march through the desert tomorrow.” Ionia left the room followed by Sherai. Sherai stepped in front of him and exclaimed her position.
“Sir I hope you don’t consider me weak, because you now it not to be true. I am what the Goddesses made me and it includes being a loyal and deadly fighter. I now with the departure of Dir you expect less, but do not judge my fighting by my age.”
Ionia stared in amazement. He always new Sherai to be a good peaceful girl, but this was another side of her. “Sherai, now you are young and willing, but you will one day be wise and careful; though I do not have big issues with your fighting it would be wise I don’t use you until needed.” Before she could say anything Ionia dismissed himself from her presents.
