Big Breakup by Lightlink22
"Link, why? WHY? Why did you do this to me?" The green haired 10-year-old girl was crying and sobbing on her couch. The blond haired 10-year-old young child was gonna touch the girl, but she pushed his arm away. He felt awful and guilty about himself. He could only say one thing, "Saria, I'm sorry! It's just we weren't meant to be together! I didn't know what was happening and I didn't want to upset you!"
So the green haired girl is named Saria. She sobbed some more, harder than before. She managed to say throught her tears, "Well, you did upset me! Link, how could you do this to me!" She started crying again.
The boy was named Link. Link was very sorry for Saria. What could he do?
"Saria, I know you thought we were meant to be together, but we aren't meant! You knew since the day the Great Deku Tree took me in that I will grow! Now you understand why weren't meant to be together?"
Saria managed to stop crying, but she was still sobbing a little. She spoke a again, "Link, I just wanted you to have a happy life! I thought that if you knew, you would leave the forest! And you did! Sob! I should have never told you!"
She was on the verge of crying again, but Link's guilty look made her feel a bit happier. She wanted him to look guilty for what he did! Now he was feeling what Saria did.
"I hope we can still be friends." said Link hopefully.
"I hope so too." Saria had stop crying.
Now they were giving themselves a big hug. Saria saw the look on Link's face and knew he wanted to leave. Saria walked Link to the door. Then Link said before leaving, " Saria, I wanted you to know that I will be going to Hyrule Market right now. I'm sorry, but the Great Deku Tree told me I had to leave the forest and go there for my destiny. Well, I have to leave with Navi, so later, sis"
Sis. Saria tried hard to form a smile in her face. She just said, "Go. But please remember that you are like a brother to me. And soon you will be like my big brother."
Those were small words, but they meant a lot to Link. He knows Saria since he was sent to the forest by his mother. Saria's is now Link's ex-girlfriend and now best friend again.
Link nodded back to Saria and started to leave. He went to his house first before leaving. He needed to pick out a few things of his. Well, in second thought, who cares? He would be coming back. This was not the last time he would be in the forest.....yet.
Link and Malon's Dream by Lightlink22
I made my way out of the forest. In my way out, Mido the kokiri came up to me with a huge grin on his face. He asked me, "Link, is it true you broke up with Saria?"
I stared at him blankly, then looked down at my shoes and muttered, "Yes."
Mido's grin got bigger. Oh, how I hated him! He loved Saria and was jelous when we became a couple. Now he's happy we broke up. But he's more happy about the way it happened. He thinks Saria hates me now, but he doesn't know how close we are.
I just ignored him and ran out of the forest. I went running all the way to Lon-Lon Ranch, where my new girlfriend, Malon, lived. I know, I promised Saria I wiould be going to the Market, but Malon had beem dying to know about Saria and me.
I stopped at the entrance of the ranch and took a deep breath before going in. Before I could take a step in the ranch, no one but Malon came running up to me. She had such a excited look on her face, I had to form a smile in my face. She yelled, "Link! It's so good to see you!"
She must've noticed I had a puzzled look on my face, so she said quickly, "I n know, I only saw you 2 hours ago. But worst of all, I have a secret I'm only supposed to tell my loved one. And guess who that is?"
I smiled at her. I knew she meant me. "You have some kind of secret boy-friend that you don't want me to meet, huh?" I grinned to show I was teasing.
She answered back, "Don't be silly." Then she formed a sad look on her face.
She noticed I was staring at her, so she tried hard to bring back her smile. I was worried and asked her, "What's wrong?"
She ran up to me and started crying on my shoulder. She managed to say, "Oh, Link! It feels like I haven't seen you in years! I had a weird trip! Boy, was I scared!"
She started crying again, so I patted her back and said, "There, there."
Malon stared into my eyes and mumbled something I couldn't hear. I said softly, "I can't hear you."
She then started crying so hard, I took her into her house. Then she said, "I'm afraid you don't like me Link! I had such a trip, I don't remember what happened, but I think it was some kind of weird dream." She started sobbing.
I asked her to tell me, but she refused. So I decided to leave. I said, "Well, I'm sorry Malon, but I have to Hyrule Market."
She then screamed, "Don't go! I'm afraid you'll fall in-" She stopped there.
I told her, "Go on. Finish off your sentence."
She refused, but after a few tries, she agreed to tell me. The whole story. I sat with her in the couch so she could tell me what was going on. She then started saying, "Well, while you went back to the forest to break the news to your friend, Saria, about us, I decided to take a nap. I fell asleep on the couch.
"Well, then I had some kind of weird dream of you going over to the market to buy some supplies. Then you stopped at a store and saw some girl your age their. Well, you went up to her and tapped her back. You asked her what her name was, and she responded, 'Oh? Me? I'm Zelda. Princess Zelda. And you are?' You told her about yourself, and she invited you to her castle to spend the night with her. You agreed, so you went back to the forest to pick up your things for the sleepover.
"Then that night, my dad was missing from deliviring milk to the castle. I went to look for him, and I told a guard about myself and what I was doing at the castle.
"When I went looking for Dad, he was stuck in this small hole. The only way to get him out was pushing him in then going in to get him.
"I pushed him in, then I went inside to get him. Then I saw you. You were in the grass. You were with Zelda. And you kissed her. On the lips! Then I woke up!"
I felt sorry for Malon. How could she believe in a dream? I tried telling her that, but she insisted. Then I had a thought. I question actually. "Malon, you said you were supposed to say this story to your loved one only. Why?"
She stared at me as if I had just said I wanted to brake up with her. She then said, "I was just making sure you were my boyfriend, that's all. I guess you are." She formed a smile on her face.
"Go. Go to the market. But promise not to fall in love with the princess." I knew she was teasing, so I gave her a quick kiss and said good-bye to Malon. Now I was off to the Market.
Zelda vs Link by Lightlink22
Well, welcome to my castle. My name's Zelda and I'm princess of Hyrule. Right now I'm spying on the evil gerudo, Ganondorf. He wanted to destroy the world in the past, but this boy, Link, went back in time. So only me and him remember Ganondorf. Ganondorf doesn't even remember what he did in the past!!! Well, right now, I was muttering words he would say before Ganondorf did. Lucky me, because all I said was right!
Well, I got bored, so I called my Royal Protector, Impa, over. She asked, "Yes, your Majesty?"
I answered, "Impa, how many times do I have to tell you to call me Zelda?"
She asnwered back, "Okay, Zelda? What is it that you want, Zelda?"
I smiled. "Could you please tell the guards that they could let a kid my age, Link right in? He's supposed to visit me right now. I wonder where he is..."
Impa shot me a puzzled look. I was surprised. How could I have let that information get out? Now Impa must think I'm crazy! She asked, "Who is this kid, your Majes- I mean, Zelda?"
I answered with my voice as steady as I could keep it. "I..met..him...at...the...market...yesterday. He said he wants to come over and I let him!"
Impa was relieved. She answered, "I will tell the guards your request."
I smiled. I went back to spying on Ganondorf. Then I saw something he didn't do in the past. He was looking right back at me! He did remember about the past! Ganondorf was snickering at me. Then my father started asking him questions, so he just shot me a smile, then he shrugged and started talking to my father again. I shot him a Look back and then made a angry face.
That body language said something. Ganondorf: Hehe. I see your your sneaky. Oh well. I'll deal with you later.
Me: You are such jerk! I wish you will just leave this kingdom alone!
So Ganondorf did know the future! I bet he wants to kill Link early! I will need to tell him that, anyways. Oh, well. It was no surprise to me that Ganondorf knew the future. I knew he would know sometime.
I knew Ganondorf wanted to say something back, but them my father asked him something.
Well, I stopped spying and wished Link would hurry up so I could talk to him! I miss him so much!
Well, good news, because just then a fairy came flying in! She looked so happy! Then came Link running in. He was holding onto his hat. I smiled at him, then I made a mad face at him. He asked me right away, "What's wrong, Zel?"
I asnwered back, "Why did you take so long? I saw something that you could've seen! But I guess that you don't care about me. Hmm. So much for best friends 4-ever."
He had his puppy look on his face, I couldn't help smiling. Then we hugged. Then I demanded, "What took you so long?"
He shrugged, the sighed and said, "I went first to Lon-Lon Ranch to visit Malon. I only wanted to say I was coming here, but then she had to tell me such a long story she said was only for her 'Loved One' !"
I was shocked. Link never told me he was Malon's "Loved One". I thought he and Saria were a couple. I wanted to say something, but I couldn't. I guess Link must have noticed, because he said, "Sorry for not telling you, Zel. It's just that Malon has so much in common with me! But you know were still best friends."
Link didn't tell me about him and Saria, so I just asked without thinking, "What about you and Saria? I thought you and her were a couple. You never told me you broke up. I think that ranch girl is not good enough for you!"
I put my hand on my mouth. How could I have said that? Link looked angry. "Don't dare talk about Malon like that! She's my girlfriend, and that's final!" he yelled at me, "and what happened between me and Saria is none of your business!"
I can't believe he was yelling at me! Not only was he yelling at his best friend, but at the Princess of Hyrule! How could he?
I opened my mouth to asnwer back, but nothing came out. I just started crying.
Link looked guilty. His look kind of said I'm sorry, Zelda. I didn't mean to. I went up to him to hug him, but he stepped away. He only said, "Well,um...I guess I'll just go. Later, Zel."
I said back, "No! Wait! Don't go! I have something important to tell you!" He had his back to me. "It's about Ganondorf!"
Now that caught his attention! Link was staring back at me. I said, "I'll tell you everyhting. Just don't go! Come sit down with me at the steps."
Link followed me to the steps. Then he asked, "So? What's so imporant about Ganondorf? I have to go back to the Market! So make it snappy!"
His tone made me angry. Now I did not want to tell him about Ganondorf. But then again, that could cost him his life. Oh, well. I'll just tell him. "Link, Ganondorf knows the future. He could kill you if you don't do something!"
Link just sighed. "Oh well. He knows the future. No big deal. I thought he did. Well, whatever." he said sourly.
His tone was kind of a tone that said he didn't care about anything. I got so angry, I can't even remember what I said after! Well, maybe I did, but I just didn't know I said that. All I know was that I said to Link, "You know what? I don't really want you to be my best friend anymore. You don't respect me! You treat me like I'm just some person you hate! I am the Princess of Hyrule and I'm a important, respected person in Hyrule! You don't even try to respect me! You're such a jerk. A real, live jerk. Malon doesn't even deserve yuo! You deserve someone like..like-"
I could not believe I had said that. Told you I felt horrible. I knew Link would stare at me and just walk away. But he didn't. He smiled at me and just said, "I had a feeling you would say that. Almost every I know my age has a crush on me. No surprise you do." He kept on smiling. "I guess being blond and having shiny green eyes is cool." He ran his fingers through his hair. His short, beautiful hair.
I guess it wasn't Link's hair that got me attracted to him. Then I fell for all of him.It was his dazzling smile. If I am in the saddest moment of my life, Link's smile can make me so happy! First I fell for Link's smile, then for all of him! He's so cute! He's just my type!
Anyways, Link just smiled at me and said, "Well, Zel, I have to go now. But still remember that I know how you feel. You are my best friend. This may not have been the best time I've spent with you, but it is the one I will never forget." Then he added, "Well, maybe."
Even though those were small words, they meant a lot to me. I wonder where he came up with that phrase. Oh, well. Who cares?
I waved good-bye to Link, then called back Impa told her to tell the guards to know they're break was done. Well, maybe someday, or sometime, Link would be my boyfriend and dump Malon. It could be possible, but I better not get my hopes up!
The Saddest Breakup (Yet) by Lightlink22
As Link ran out of the castle, he remembered what Zelda had said about Ganondorf. He knows the future. The words rang through his mind unitl...
well, Link was back in the Market. He never even noticed, unitl someone called his name. Guess who it was? It was Malon.
"Link! Over here! It's Malon!" she yelled.
Of course Link knew it was Malon. He had heard her voice tons of times before. He was her boyfriend.
"Hey, Malon! What's up? What are you doing here?"
"I was here waiting for you. What took you so long?" she demanded.
"Well, you know Zelda and I are best friends." Malon had a disgusted look on her face.
"But to make a long story short, we had a fight." he added quickly.
This had made a smile on Malon's face. She then said, "Well, I'd like to hear the whole story."
"But..but.." Link spammered.
"No buts. I was once your best friend, now your girlfriend. So I need to hear everyhting."
Link sighed, but he decided to tell her the whole story. He knew that if he didn't tell her, he and Malon might have a big fight themselves. And he didn't want to have a fight in one day with the two girls he loved. Loved.
Oh my god! Link loved Zelda! He loved her so much, he sometimes regrets he's Malon's boyfriend! He's in deeply in-
"Link! Please tell me!" Malon interrupted Link's day dreaming. Oh, well. He knew he'd have to tell her sooner or later.
Link told Malon the whole story, every single detail. The only thing he didn't tell her was about Ganondorf. He couldn't tell Malon about his and Zelda's business. It wasn't hers. Girlfriend or not, it still wasn't her business.
"That's all? That's all that happened? Man, that's the stupidest fight I've ever heard of. I thought you and Zelda were best friends."
"We are. It's just that...It's just that...."
He didn't know what to say. What would he say, anyways? He couldn't answer the last question, but he could answer the first two.
"Malon, didn't we ever fight before? Before you were my girlfriend? Over silly things? Well, sorry to say this, but every time we had a fight, I had to go over to Zel's. She is one of my best friends. Even though I have tons of friends"
On the other hand, our fight was more stupid than this one. We fought over silly things before. What about the time you and I weren't talking to each other since you decided that you hated me? The day we met? That's was the sillest thing that's ever happened in history!"
Malon had to agree to that. That was the silliest thing she'd ever done. When Malon layed a eye on Link for the first time, she saw he was a forest boy and quickly decided she didn't like him. But when Link stopped at the ranch for help, Malon just ignored Link and answered him sourly when he asked her questions.
Then, Malon noticed Link didn't care she didn't like him, so he just left saying goodbye.
Then the next week, Link came back. Not for help, but to say a speech to Malon.
"Malon, for no reason you hate me. What have I done to you? Is it my looks or is it my looks?"
Malon didn't want to laugh, but she choked back a laugh.
"I like you anyway or not, even though I your not on my dot."
Malon couldn't help it. She laughed this time.
"So, Malon, even though you hate me and I don't hate you, then we should at least know each other better. We don't have to be firends, but not enemies. So could you please, please give me a chance?"
"Yes!" Malon yelled as though Link has asked her to marry him.
Link smiled at the thought of that memory.
"Good times, very good times." Link said.
"You wish!" Malon replied. She started cracking up.
"No, I mean very good times."
"Stop joking around! Of course you don't!"
"Yes, I do."
"No, you don't."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Who's arguing?"
That was Talon.
"Umm..it was us Dad." answered Malon.
"Why were u two fighting?" he demanded.
Malon glanced at Link with a Have any idea what to say? look. Link shook his head, sighed then said, "We were just..we were just-"
Link forgot why he and Malon were arguing. Why were they? He faced. Malon.
"Malon, why were we arguing?"
"Geez, I forgot."
Malon faced Talon. He then said, "Well,I guess no problem here. Later Malon. Link." He went off back to work leaving the two children doing nothing.
"Why were we fighting?" Link asked right away after Talon was out of sight.
"I have no idea. Well, maybe because-" Malon remembered why.
"We were arguing about the thought of when we first met. I said you didn't think it were good times, you said I they were good times."
"That was such a silly fight. Silliest so far!" Link started cracking up. Then Malon joined in.
"Yeah, then we brake up!" Malon cracked up more. But Link didn't think that was funny.
"Well, I better be going back to the forest now. Later, Malon."
"Bye!" Malon waved good-bye.
~()~
At the forest, Link went stright to Saria's house. He knocked on the door first.
"Who is it!" Saria's voice asked.
"It's me." Link asnwered back.
"Come right in!"
In the house, Saria was sitting on her bed reading something. When she saw Link, she put her book down.
"What's up, Link?"
"I have a problem, Sar."
"What's that?"
"Well, I'm thinking of breaking up with Malon."
"Why?"
"We fight over silly things. Today we had such a silly fight."
"What fight?"
Link gave her all details aout their stpid fight.
"Well, to be honest with you, Link, I can't help you with this. I can't help you decide with your relationships. I'm sorry."
"That's alright. Well, I'd better be going to sleep now. 'Night, Sar.
"'Night Link."
Back in his house, Link couldn't go to sleep. He went up to his desk, picked up a pen and a piece of paper and wrote on it: Should I brake up with Malon? []-yes []-no
Link thought it over and over, but finally he decided to go to sleep.
In the morning, Link got up, had breakfast, looked at his sheet and marked down an answer on his sheet.
~()~
After marking down his answer, Link went back to the ranch right away. When Malon answered, Link said right away, "Malon, I've decided to break up with you."
