Author's Notes:
This is my first story, so please no harsh comments.
100 Years Ago, when the land was young, people were at war; this war was called the Race War. People vs. people, nation vs. nation, it was horrible. Hylians, Humans, Gorons, Zoras, Gerudos, Twili, and Kokiri, all of these nations were at war. The land of Hyrule was destroyed. Many people suffered from injuries, and many lost their lives. All seemed lost, until three young heroes appeared from nowhere. The princess of Hyrule, a Hylian who lived with the Kokiri, and a human who lived with all the nations were these heroes. With their powers and abilities, they stopped the war between them all. Peace was with them for a long time.
The Present
Seven crossroads in the middle of the field, one for each of the nations, Hylian, Gerudo, Goron, Zora, Twili, Kokiri, and Human. One person from each row appeared before them. Each of them was wearing black robes.
“So, do we start soon?” asked the Gerudo woman.
“Soon, it will be soon,” said the Goron man.
“We will start today, spread as many rumors as you can,” said the Human man.
“But are you sure it will work,” asked the Zora woman.
“It will, we will make sure of it,” said the Hylian man smirking.
“If these people are stupid enough like we thought…then everything will go according to plan,” said the Kokiri boy.
Then they all walked back to their nations.

DESCLAIMER: I do NOT own all the Zelda characters used here in this fanfiction. They belong to there respective owners.
These people were in the middle of Hyrule Field. One minute it was peaceful and calm, then the next minute a bomb fell from the sky and everything was covered by fire. The sky was dark from all the smoke, and people from different nations were attacking each other. It was a horrible sight for those three people. It was a never ending nightmare.
***
Link woke-up screaming. He looked around to see that he was in his room at the Kokiri Forest. "Whew, that was another horrible nightmare. I don't ever want to be in it ever again," he said to himself.
Saria then entered Link's door. "Link! Are you okay?" Saria asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. It was just a-a nightmare," Link said to Saria.
"You've been having nightmares lately...haven't you?" Saria said. Link nodded. "You can tell me anything. You can even tell me your nightmares," Saria told Link. The thing with Saria is that she was Link's best friend since they were little. Link had no friends in the Kokiri Forest, and Saria was the only one who accepted him as her friend.
"Well...Zelda was in my dream. And we were in the middle of Hyrule Field, it was peaceful. Then a huge bomb fell from the sky...then everything was under fire," Link explained. "In the fire we saw people from different nations fighting each other. They wanted to kill each other and we couldn't stop it. We even saw many dead bodies on the flaming grass," Link was trying to hold back the tears. Saria embraced him. "But there was something that I didn't understand," Link said.
"What is it?" Saria asked.
"Zelda and I weren't the only ones there," Saria gave Link a confused look. "There was someone else there. A girl we didn't know," Link told her.
"What do you mean?" wondered Saria.
"In my dream, there was a girl with long black hair tied in a ponytail. She seemed, more experienced then both of us," Link said.
"Well...maybe it's someone you're going to meet. I think you should go and talk to Zelda about this," Saria told him. Link thought about it for about it for a moment, then stood up and walked to his door. He stooped and turned to Saria.
"I'll be back later." She told him bye, and he walked out of the forest.

Zelda woke-up screaming. She looked around to see that she was in her room at Hyrule Castle. "Sigh, it was just another nightmare," she said to herself.
Impa walked in the princess' door. "Zelda, what is the matter?" she asked. Zelda looked at her, and then looked down. "You can tell me anything sweetie," Impa told her. Impa is Zelda's nursemaid. She's good friends with her parents, until her mother died when Zelda was three. Since then, Impa acted like Zelda's mother and Zelda would tell her almost everything.
"Well Impa, I had another nightmare," Zelda said.
"What was this nightmare about?" Impa asked her.
"Well...Link was in the dream. We were in the middle of Hyrule Field. One minute it was peaceful, and then the next minute there was a bomb falling in front of us. After it exploded, the whole field was covered by fire. We saw people from different nations fighting each other. We even saw people that were dead in the field of fire," Zelda explained as tears were falling from her eyes. Impa embraced her. "It was horrible; I never want to be in it ever again." Impa calmed Zelda down. "But, something was different about this nightmare then the others I've had in the past," Zelda added.
"What is it?" Impa asked.
"Other than Link and I being there...there was another person. It was a girl that we never knew." Impa glanced at Zelda, and Zelda glanced back.
"Maybe you should speak with Link about this," Impa suggested.
Zelda thought about it for a moment and stood up from her bed. "Okay, maybe I will. Thank you Impa," Zelda then walked into her closet and got dressed with an ordinary dress. When she got out of her closet, a guard went to her room and told her that Link was at the castle entrance. She then went to the entrance of the castle to meet with Link. "Hello Link," she greeted.
"Hi Zelda," he greeted back. "Zelda, I need to talk to you about something," Link said.
Zelda nodded. "Come with me. I know a place where we can talk privately." Zelda took Link's hand and they started out the castle.
***
A human girl with a long ponytail, black jeans, and a black shirt woke--up screaming in the ally of Castle Town. She looked around and saw that she was at the last place she slept. "S-so it was just a nightmare," she said to herself. "Well I can't control what I dream now can't I." 'But who were those other two people that were with me?' she thought.
She then heard her stomach growl. "Well I can't worry about it now. Right now, I should find something to eat." She looked around to see where she could get her food. She then looked at the castle and smiled. "I guess I should put my Gerudo skills to the test, now should I." Then she sneaked her way toward the castle.
When she got to the castle gates, she looked around to see if any guards are nearby. 'Hmm, there has to be a way in that castle. I shouldn't have any problem. This isn't anything like the time I sneaked in the Gerudo Fortress,' she thought.
She climbed the fence, and sneaked pass the guards that were in the path. Then she climbed the second smaller gate. 'Man these guards are so stupid,' she thought. She looked up at the tall castle. Then the girl started climbing the wall. She stopped when she smelled food from the window. The girl took a little peak and saw all the food ready to be served.
The chefs walked outside to announce that breakfast was ready. When they did that, the girl snuck in through the window. She quickly got the food and stuffed it in her shirt and took off, out the window. She jumped off the second story, making a perfect landing on her feet. 'Hah, if only my Gerudo teachers would see me now,' she thought. She walked around the moat to find an opening that she can squeeze through along with the food. When she got through the other side of the opening, she found what seemed like a courtyard. "Perfect," she whispered. The girl took the food and sat in the middle of the circle of flowers and started eating.
***
Zelda and Link walked in the dining hall, only to see that the food wasn’t on the table. They saw that some chefs were explaining to Impa why there isn’t any food. Zelda and Link walked over to Impa and the head chef.
“Impa, what’s the matter?” Zelda asked Impa.
“Well you see, the chefs finished making breakfast. They left the kitchen to tell everyone that the food was ready. Then when they returned to the kitchen, the food was gone,” Impa said.
“One minute the food was there, and then the next poof, it was gone,” said the chef.
“If I didn’t know any better, I think someone stole the food,” Link said. Everyone gasped in the room. “This didn’t happen long ago, so the person who stole it must still be in the castle.”
“Well let’s go find that robber,” said one guard. Then the guards left the dining hall, and the chef went to the kitchen to make more food.
“Zelda, Link, I’ll look on the second and third floor of the castle,” Impa said. “You two look on the ground level.” Then Impa left to check the castle.
“Zelda? What are you thinking?” Link said as Zelda was lost in thought.
“Well, if the person who stole the food wanted to eat it somewhere safe, that person needed to find a safe place that no one else knows about,” she said.
They both thought for a moment and looked at each other. “The courtyard,” they both said in unison. Then they walked toward the courtyard.
***
When Zelda and Link got to the courtyard, they saw someone lying on the circle of flowers. Link unsheathed his sword. As they got closer, they saw that it was a girl hugging a piece of ham. The girl was asleep.
“Link, do you think she’s the one who stole the food,” Zelda whispered to Link.
Link shrugged his shoulders. “The evidence pointed to her,” he whispered back. “Um…excuse me. Can you wake-up?” Link asked the sleeping girl.
“No, just five more minutes dad,” she mumbled. Somehow Link knew that’s going to be her answer.
“Please wake-up,” but no movement. “Wake “up!”
With that, she jumped off the ground. “Hey, why’d you scream at me?” said the girl. She then looked up at Zelda and Link. They had a scowl on their faces. Then she looked at the ham.
“What are you doing with that ham?” Link said with a stern voice.
“Uh…I…was um….”
“Did you steal it from the castle?” Zelda said with a stern voice also.
“I…um.”
“Answer the question!”
“Okay I was the one who stole the food okay. If you want to fight me sword boy, then bring it on,” said the girl. She was in a fighting stance.
Link was ready to fight her, but Zelda placed her hand on his shoulder. “Link wait, does that girl look familiar?” Zelda asked him.
“Come to think of it…she does look familiar,” Link said as he put away his sword. The girl realized that he wasn't going to fight her, so she stopped her fighting stance. Link and Zelda remembered that girl. “I know you. You’re that girl in our nightmare,” Link blurted out loud.
“Yeah, your that girl that was with us in Hyrule Field,” Zelda said.
“Wait, you’re the two people that I saw in my nightmare?” It was more of a statement than a question. The girl examined Link and Zelda. “Yup, you guys look like them,” she said. “But why did we have the same nightmare?”
“It’s because it means something,” Zelda said. The girl looked confused. “First, we should introduce ourselves. My name is Zelda.”
“And my name is Link. What’s your name?” he asked the girl.
“My name…oh, my name is…Rin,” her voice changed from forceful to sincere.
“Come on, let’s go to my room,” Zelda said as they walked out of the courtyard.
***
They walked into Zelda’s room. Zelda and Link sat down on the bed while Rin stayed at the door. “Aren’t you going to sit with us?” Link asked Rin.
“Does Zelda mind?” she asked.
“I don’t mind at all,” Zelda said. Then Rin slowly walked towards the bed. She looked at Zelda again, and she nodded her head. Rin then sat down on the mattress. It was like sitting on fluffy clouds.
“So…not trying to be rude, but can you two tell me a little about yourselves?” Rin asked.
“Well…I’m the princess of Hyrule. Now, I’m 17 years old. My mother died when I was three, and I have a nursemaid that acts like my mother. I tell her almost everything. And I am very wise for my age.”
“And I’m a Hylian that lives in the Kokiri Forest. Just as Zelda, I’m also 17 years of age. I never knew my parents and I have a friend at the Kokiri Forest that takes care of me. And I am very brave for my age. What about you Rin?”
Rin looked down. “I’m a Human, and I’m 16. I-I never knew my family. I never had a home…I wonder around Hyrule without anyone to take care of me.” Zelda and Link looked at each other, and Rin started crying. Zelda embraced the crying girl and rubbed her back gently.
“So, how did you survived?” asked Link.
Through her sobs, “I stayed at Goron City, Zora’s Domain, Twili Village, and Gerudo Fortress with no one finding me. I had to eat the left over trash to survive. Only one person from each town found me and taught me the ways of their nation,” she slowed her tears.
“I learned how to be strong like a Goron. I learned how to hold my breath for a long period of time like a Zora. I learned how to steal from people like a Gerudo. And I learned how to hide in the shadows like the Twili.” Link and Zelda were amazed at Rin. She went to different places in Hyrule like Link did when he was 10. The only difference with her and Link, she didn’t had to travel around Hyrule to stop Ganondorf. That and she could’ve traveled Hyrule at a younger age.
“I am so sorry to hear that Rin,” Zelda said still comforting her.
Rin tried to stop the tears. “I’m sorry for bothering you two about my life,” Rin told Link and Zelda.
'For a girl who’s endured many hardships, she really is a kind person,' Zelda thought.
“So how did you two met?” Rin asked as she sat back up.
Zelda and Link looked at each other. Link closed his eyes. “Man that goes way back. Well I had a dream that I saw a girl, a woman, and a horse run away from the gates of Castle Town. Then this Gerudo man appears in front of me with a black mare. After that I woke-up with a fairy above me. Then I had to help the Deku Tree, after I helped him I had to go see the Princess of Destiny. So I had to go to Hyrule Castle to see Zelda. When I entered the secret passage that leads to the courtyard, I saw Zelda looking at the window.” Link opened his eyes and looked at Zelda and she looked at him back.
“I heard a noise from behind me…and I saw Link with his fairy. My heart skipped a beat when I saw his blue eyes. He did a quest that I sent him on. After Ganondorf was defeated, we started to hang out.” Rin could see the love in their eyes; she made a tiny little smile.
'Aww, I didn’t know they had a little crush', Rin thought. “I can’t believe that you two knew each other for seven years,” Rin said. Zelda and Link both nodded their heads slowly, still looking at each other. Rin poked them in the cheek gently enough to get them out of their trance. They both looked confused. Rin giggled, and then she sighed. Zelda and Link looked at her.
“What’s wrong?” Zelda asked.
“Nothing it’s just…I haven’t laughed or giggled in such a long time,” Rin said. Zelda and Link smiled. They sat in silence for 5 minutes. Then Rin broke the silence. “Zelda, Link,” she said. They look at her. “Do…you two consider me as your…friend?”
Link and Zelda smiled. “Of-course we consider you as our friend,” Zelda said.
“Why wouldn't we?” Link added.
“Well…I did steal from you. I also tried to fight you guys. Why would you want to be friends with me?” Rin stated.
“One thing’s for sure, you apologized. A thief would never apologize to the people he stole,” Link said.
“That is true; all the people that stole from me and was caught never apologized. Besides, we both know that you’re not a bad person,” Zelda said. Rin had a glimmer of happiness in her eyes, and Link and Zelda saw it.
***
“Well it’s getting late, I guess I better to go home,” Link said. “Bye Zelda, bye Rin,” and with that, Link left Zelda’s room.
“Well I guess I should go to the ally now,” Rin added as she started leaving Zelda’s room.
“No you’re not.” Rin looked back and Zelda was standing up. “You’re sleeping in the guest bedroom. I can’t let my friend sleep in an ally. Come on, follow me.” Zelda led Rin to the bedroom next to her.
“This is going to be your room until you find a place to live. You can wear the clothes that are in the closet until your clothes are cleaned.”
“Are you sure it’s okay Zelda?”
“As long as I say if it’s okay, then your fine. Good night,” and with that she went back to her room and changed into her nightgown.
Rin walked over to the closet, she found a black nightgown in the back and put it on. She took the covers off and lied on the fluffy bed. She lied there looking up at the ceiling drifting into her thoughts.
'Is this all a dream? A wonderful dream that would never end? Link and Zelda…they were really nice to me, even though I stole their food. My prayer to the gods has finally come true.' She closed her eyes and drifted into her dreams.
Chapter 2 by TwiliDragonRin
Rin woke-up in the same bedroom Zelda offered her to sleep in. "I guess this isn't a dream, its real," she said making the bed. "Well, I'm glad that it wasn't a dream." She walked toward the closet and tried to find a dress that would suit her. She saw a black dress; she took it and wore it. She went to the mirror and got a hair brush and started to brush her hair. Once she finished, she got her hair band and made her ponytail. "I guess I should go see Zelda."
She then walked to Zelda's room to see that she was having a nightmare. Zelda kept tossing and turning, she seemed too disturbed to wake-up. "Zelda, Zelda wake-up, come on wake-up...please," Rin pleaded.
She then heard Zelda talk in her sleep. "L-Link...R-Rin...gasp n-no. W-where are...you?"
Rin didn't know what to do. "Don't worry Zelda, I'll be back." Rin walked out of Zelda's room. She saw a guard in front of her with his back facing her. Rin slowly walked behind the guard. "Hey soldier, how do you get to Link's house?" Rin said in an enforcing voice.
"Oh, you keep going south from Lon Lon Ranch until you see an opening path on your left and you'll see the Kokiri Forest," said the guard without turning around.
"Thank you soldier," and she walked away.
Rin sneaked passed all the guards without letting them see her until she got to the first gate of the castle. "Okay, I need to get to the Kokiri Forest. Just please Zelda...wait for me." Then she started running out of Castle Town.

Link was in Saria's house talking to her.
"So she's really a human girl?" Saria asked.
"Yeah, she acted mean at first, but once you get to know her, she doesn't seem all that bad," Link said. "I still feel bad for all she went through."
"Well think about it this way if she never went through those things, you and Zelda would have never been friends with her."
"Actually, that does make sense."
Link and Saria heard a loud voice coming outside from the house. They both run outside of the house to find Rin kneeling on the ground gasping for air.
"Please...I need-to find-Link," she said between her breaths.
Some of the Kokiri children were around her; they never saw a Human before in all of their lives. Because of this, Rin could hardly get any air.
"Hey, give her some air!" Link screamed as he and Saria rushed toward the crowd. The Kokiri children moved out of the way so Link and Saria would get to her. "Rin, what's wrong?" Link asked her.
"It-and...I-can't...gasp...I need-water," Rin gasped.
Link and Saria helped her walk to Saria's house. He sat Rin down on a chair and Saria gave her water. Rin chugged the whole cup of water.
"Now Rin, what happened? Why are you here? And why were you in such a hurry?" Link asked her.
"It's...Zelda," she said. Link and Saria had a shocked looked on their faces. "She is locked in her nightmare and she can't wake-up."
"Why didn't you try to wake her up?" Saria asked.
"I tried. All I heard her say is ‘L-Link...R-Rin...n-no. W-where are...you?' No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't wake her. Link, she needs you."
Link nods. "Saria, I'll be back okay." Link told Saria.
"Don't worry; I'll calm down the Kokiri children. Just go help Zelda," she said.
Link took Rin's hand and ran out of the Kokiri Forest.
"L-Link wait. How are we going to get to the castle in time?" Link then took out his Ocarina. "What is that?"
"This-Is the Fairy Ocarina. I used it before I got the Ocarina of Time," Link said. He played a song he called Epona's Song. Then a horse was running towards them. Once it got close, it slowed down. "Rin, I'd like you to meet Epona." Rin stared in awe as she saw a brown mare with a beautiful white tail and main. "Get on," Link said as he got ready. Rin slowly climbed on the mare as she grabbed around Link's waist. "Hold on."
Then in one motion, they started galloping with the wind.
***
Link and Rin quickly climbed off of Epona, and ran towards the castle. The guard stopped Link for bringing Rin along, but Link insisted that she were to be let in. Then they ran toward Zelda's room, when they saw Impa.
"Impa? What are you doing here?" Link wondered.
"I tried to wake-up Zelda, but she won't wake-up," Impa said. "All she keeps saying is your name and a person named Rin." Link and Rin walked toward Zelda. Impa noticed Rin with Link. "Um excuse me Link but...who is this girl?"
"Oh I'm sorry, I should introduce myself. Hello, my name is Rin. I'm Zelda and Link's friend since yesterday."
"Oh well hello. My name is Impa, and I am Zelda's nursemaid. So you're the Rin that she's talking about?"
Link shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know, but she's the only Rin that Zelda knows. I'm going to wake Zelda." Link sat next to Zelda. "Zelda, Zelda can you hear me? It's me, Link. Please wake-up Zelda," Link pleaded.
"L-Link..." Zelda whispered. She slowly opened her eyes. Everyone gave a sigh of relief.
"Zelda, thank the goddesses your alright," Impa said.
"W-what happened? Why is everybody here?" Zelda wondered.
"You were locked in your nightmare," Rin said. "No matter what we did, you could never wake-up."
Zelda had a puzzled look on her face. ‘Why couldn't I wake-up? And what was my nightmare, I don't remember.'
"Well come on Zelda, hurry and get dressed so we can go to Lon Lon Ranch," Link said as he gives Zelda her normal pink dress. "Come on Rin; let's leave Zelda so she can get dressed," Link said as he walks toward the door.
"Okay, come outside the door when you're done, okay Zelda," said Rin as she closed her door.
"So...how did you meet Rin?" Impa asked as Zelda turned to her with an astonished look.
"We met her yesterday. How do you know Rin?" Zelda asked.
"Well she came in with Link when you were asleep just now. So how did you meet her?"
"Please don't get mad at her but...she was the person who stole the food yesterday."
Impa stood up. "What?! She took it!"
"Impa please...she apologized to us."
Impa raised an eyebrow. "Really...?"
"Yes. Once you get to know her, she really isn't a bad person. She's just...misunderstood."
Impa saw the look on Zelda's face as she put the dress on. "There is something else about Rin...isn't there?" she asked.
"I don't know why...but I feel like she's meant for something. I feel like we became friends for a reason. I feel like she has to help me and Link to save Hyrule."
"Well, keep an eye out for that something. Oh and be careful when you're heading for Lon Lon Ranch. Some Gorons have been stopping Hylians, Humans, and Twili on the road for punishment," Impa warned her.
"Okay, I'll make sure that Link and Rin know. Bye Impa," then she walked out.
"So are you ready?" Link asked.
"Yup, we can go. Oh and before I forget...Impa said that we should be careful when were on the road," Zelda warned.
"Why?" Rin asked her.
"She said that some Gorons have been hurting people from different nations on the road."
"Well we have to be careful. Okay Zelda, Rin, you two ride together on Jake, and I'll ride on Epona," Link said.
"Okay that's fine with me. Is it okay with you Rin?"
"Sure but...who's Jake?"
"Jake's my horse," Zelda said. Then they walked to the stables and rode off with Jake and Epona.
***
This Goron was with other Gorons at Death Mountain, He was easy to tell apart from the other Gorons. He had an X scar on his stomach from a childhood sword accident. His name is Gongoron. Gongoron walked over to a few other adult Gorons.
"Hey guys," Gongoron said.
"Hey Gongoron, so did you hear?" said a Goron.
"Hear what?" Gongoron said.
"Some Humans, Hylians, Twili, and Kokiri made horrible jokes about Gorons because we are made of rock. They've also attacked some of our own Gorons."
Gongoron looked disbelief. "Why would they say such things? Why would they do such things?" Gongoron wondered.
"I don't know...but were about to go to Hyrule Field to find some Humans, Hylians, Twili, or Kokiri and get payback. Do you want to join in Gongoron?" Gongoron shook his head. "Okay, well bye." The three Gorons left.
‘Yes...all going according to plan.'
***
Link, Zelda and Rin arrived at Lon Lon Ranch's entrance. Link and Zelda slowed their horses in the ranch and got off. Link took the reins of Epona, and Zelda got the reins of Jake. As they walked over to the stables, they saw red haired girl in the middle of the ranch.
"Hey, Malon!" Link yelled as he waved his arm.
The girl turned around and gave smile. "Hey Link, hey Zelda!" she yelled back.
Link and Zelda took the reins of their horses and walked over to Malon and Rin followed behind.
"Hey Malon, how are you doing?" Link said.
"I'm doing fine, and the horses are doing fine too. So what about you two?" she asked.
"Well, Epona and I are doing great," Link said as Epona and Jake started galloping around the ranch.
"And Jake and I are doing great as well," Zelda said.
Malon looked over Zelda's shoulder to see Rin hiding behind her. "Zelda, Link who's this girl? Is she a friend of yours?" Malon asked.
"Yeah, this is Rin, we met her yesterday. Rin is a Human that lived all over Hyrule. Rin, this is Malon, we've been friends since we were all 10," Link said.
"Hello Malon. Glad to meet another of Link and Zelda's friends," Rin said.
Malon smiled. "So what brings you three here to Lon Lon Ranch."
"Well it has been a long time since we've visited you so we came," Link said as he smiled.
"That's great...but it's not a great idea. Mr. Ingo has been in a very bad mood lately."
"Why? Isn't he in a bad mood almost every day," Zelda said.
"Well he's in an even worse mood. Yesterday, he heard that Humans have been talking bad about Hylians and might start to attack because of our pointy ears."
Zelda and Link gasped.
"Why would some people from the Human nation say something so mean about Hylians?" Link asked.
"I don't know," Malon said. "But that really got Mr. Ingo tempered. You know what he does when he is in his fury frenzies." Zelda and Link nodded.
"W-wait, does that mean he will hurt Rin?!" Zelda added.
They all look at Rin. Since she's a Human, Ingo would take all his rage out on her.
"Hurry, you have to leave before-,"
"Malon where are you! Gah, stupid girl," Ingo interrupted.
"Too late...," Malon whispered to them.
Ingo saw the girl in the middle of the ranch with three other people. "Malon, I swear if you're off playing-!" he yelled as we stomped his way to the location.
"Hurry, hide her," Zelda whispered to them.
Then Malon, Link, and Zelda stood in front of Rin.
"Malon, you are supposed clean the stables! But instead you're playing with your friends!" Ingo yelled at her. Then Ingo noticed something moving behind them. "Are you hiding something from me?!" he snarled.
"W-What, no, no, no, we're not hiding anything from you."
Ingo glared at the three teenagers. He then shoved Link, Malon, and Zelda out of the way, making them fall on the ground. Ingo had an evil glare. He saw Rin looking at him with pleading eyes.
"You were hiding a Human!" he yelled at Malon.
"Mr. Ingo, don't. She didn't do anything," Malon pleaded.
But Ingo ignored the pleading Malon and walked closer to Rin. Every step closer he took towards her, she took one step back until she tripped on the ground. Ingo's hand reached out to Rin and he grabbed her by the neck. Link, Malon, and Zelda gasped as Ingo raised Rin by the neck.
"No one insults Ingo and gets away with it," he said as he raised his other hand and with one fluid motion, he slapped Rin on her cheek. He let her go and with all of his anger, punched her in her gut. Rin toppled over on the ground and coughed up blood.
"Rin, no!" screamed Link. Zelda hid her face in Link's chest.
Ingo walked to Malon and said, "You better get back to work soon!" Then Ingo walked away.
Malon and Link looked at Rin, she stopped coughing blood but she looked helpless on the ground. Malon walked to Rin and gasped. Rin was clutching her stomach and her cheek was red as fire. She was crying.
"Rin...are you okay?" Malon asked. But she said nothing. Link and Zelda walked towards Malon and Rin.
"Rin...," Zelda managed to say.
They could hear her crying softly. Then a light brown horse walked to the kids. The horse seemed to want to help Rin. Link and Zelda nodded their heads.
"We'll take care of Rin. Is it okay to take him," Link asked. Malon nodded her head. Link placed Rin on the brown horse and Zelda sat behind her.
"Bye Malon," they said. Then they galloped away.

Two Gorons were standing in the middle of Hyrule Field. They were the same Gorons from Death Mountain.
"When are we going to see someone?" one Goron said.
"Patients....It's all about patients," the other Goron said. He glances over to Lon Lon Ranch and sees three horses coming from it. "And we found some suckers."
The two Gorons rolled into balls and rolled toward the horses.

Rin stopped clutching her stomach, and pets the light brown horse.
Zelda manages to say something, "Rin...are you alright?" Rin glances back at her and nods.
"We're sorry Rin...we didn't stop Ingo from hurting you. I hope you can forgive us," Link told Rin.
"D-don't worry, I'm fine guys," Rin finally spoke. "And I do forgive you two and Malon as well." Link and Zelda both exchanged looks, and then smiled.
Everyone then looks at their front, to a surprise they find two Gorons rolling towards them.
"What are they doing?" Link said.
"They're going to ram us!" Zelda yelled.
"Quick, everybody move!" Rin yelled.
Zelda and Link moved the rains of the horses. The Gorons passed the three teens and made a U turn. They passed the horses and stopped in front of them, scaring the horses. Epona, Jake, and the light brown mare stood on their hind legs, dropping Link, Zelda and Rin.
"Is everyone okay?" Link asked as he picked himself up.
"We're fine," Zelda and Rin both responded.
They looked at the road that leads to Hyrule Castle, it was blocked by the two Gorons that are walking towards them.
Link called Epona. "Epona, take Jake and the mare with you," he told her. "Run as fast as you all can."
Epona then galloped around the two horses, and then ran away from the scene along with Jake and the mare. The Gorons rolled toward the kids, who ran away from them. They ran towards Kakariko Village, dodging the rolling Gorons.

Link got out his bow and arrow and shot the Gorons, which had no effect on them. They panicked and ran towards Death Mountain. While being half-way on Death Mountain, Link, Zelda, and Rin stumbled to a fork in a road.
"Zelda, Rin, you two go to the left...I'll go to the right," Link told the girls.
They nodded their heads in agreement and run towards the left. The two Gorons caught up to Link at the fork in a road. "Come and get me!" Link yelled.
"You go get the boy, I'll get the two girls," the bigger Goron said.
They both rolled to where their targets ran. Link ended up being at a dead end.
"Crud, now where am I supposed to go?" he said.
"Stupid Hylian, you will pay for insulting and hurting us all!" Link turned around to find the smaller Goron following up behind.
‘If only I had my sword.'

Zelda was holding Rin's hand and was guiding her up Death Mountain.
"Don't you think we should be careful?" Rin asked.
"We can't take the chance of slowing down or being careful," Zelda told her. "Not with the Gorons chasing us. If they catch us....we just can't stop."
Rin saw how Zelda was scared. "Zelda, calm down....the Gorons' are not going to hurt us!" Rin yelled at her. Zelda stopped running and looked into Rin's eyes. "I promise you....that you won't get hurt." Zelda closed her eyes.
"There you are!" the taller Goron bellowed. That Goron came close to Rin.
‘No, she's going to get hurt again,' Zelda thought.
"What are you going to do little human? Are you going to hurt me?" he teased.
He shoved Rin, she fell and she hit her head on a boulder and passed out. The Goron walked towards Zelda. Zelda takes a step back for each step closer he takes. After walking slowly away from him for 5 minutes, Zelda got to the edge a cliff. She glanced down, and then glanced back at the Goron. Rin woke-up and looked up at see that the Goron was going to hurt Zelda. Zelda looked at him with fear.
"Leave her alone! Please...don't hurt her!" Rin pleaded.
The Gorons eyes met with Rin's, and then met with Zelda's horrified eyes. He raised his fist, and Rin still begged him to stop. But he still ignores her plea. Zelda closes her eyes to prepare for the pain.
‘Please, anyone.....Link, help me,' she thought. Zelda heard a thud, but she didn't felt any pain. ‘W-what happened? Why am I not in pain? Do I even dare look,' Zelda thought.
Zelda opens her eyes and started to tremble. Rin's head was down and she stopped the tall Goron's fist in a blink of an eye.
"Wha- how can you stop me?! You're just a little human!" the Goron yelled at Rin.
Rin moved her head to look up to the Goron. He was horrified, he saw that Rin's pupils were gone, he saw anger in her eyes. Rin twisted his arm until they all heard bone crack. The Goron screamed in pain, and then she knee-kicked him in the stomach. The power from that knee-kick was tremendous, that he stumbled on the ground gasping for air. Zelda was horrified by the scene that she just witnessed. She tried to move but made a sound and Rin turned around to Zelda with the same icy stare she gave to the Goron. Zelda could not see Rin's soul through her eyes.
"Rin, it's me Zelda...your friend," she told Rin. Rin grabbed Zelda's arms and threw her to the opposite side, away from the cliff. "Rin...?" but Rin picked up Zelda grabbed her arms again and started crushing them. Zelda also screamed in pain. ‘Rin...what's going on? Why are you acting like this?' she thought.
"Rin stop!" Link shouted. She looked up and saw Link running up to them. "Rin stop, you're hurting Zelda! Stop it right now!" he screamed at her.
Rin looked back at Zelda, who had tears in her eyes. Rin's pupil reappeared and her icy stare went away.
"Zelda, I'm.....sorry....," then Rin collapsed.
Zelda caught the unconscious Rin. Link turned to see the Goron, but he was nowhere to be found. "Damn, where'd he go?" Link wondered.
"Link, I think we should take her back to the castle," Zelda insisted.
"Well I guess we should forget about the two Gorons," Link said. He then looked at Zelda.
"Are you all right Zelda?" She nodded her head. "Good. Here, I'll carry Rin. Let's hurry back to the castle."

After Link and Zelda arrived at the bottom of Death Mountains, they used Epona's Song to call Epona, Jake, and the light brown mare. Once they arrived at the castle, Zelda ordered some servants to take Rin to the doctor.
"How is she doctor?" Zelda asked him.
"She'll be fine. Just let her sleep for a few hours," he said then walked out the door.
Zelda sat on one side of the bed and Link sat on the other side. "Zelda, what happened when you two were at the cliff?" Link asked her.
She glanced at Rin, "I don't know...I was about to get attacked by that Goron, until Rin came in front of me and stopped that Goron's punch. Then she twisted his arm and kicked him with her knee." Zelda brushes Rin's hair off her face. "When she faced me...I saw her eyes but I didn't saw her soul...."
Link saw how horrified Zelda still was. "You're still scared aren't you...," Link asked her. "...Of who....the Gorons, or Rin?"
"It's not that I'm afraid of her...I'm afraid of her hidden power," Zelda answered.
"Don't worry...I don't think she really wanted to hurt you in anyway," Link reassured her.
Zelda faced him and smiled. Then they hear a soft sound from behind them and they turn around. Rin slowly woke up to see Zelda and Link sitting next to her.
"Z-Zelda, L-Link...what happened...are you both alright?" she asked.
"I'm fine Rin," Link responded.
"And I'm fine because you saved me Rin, thank you."
Rin had no idea what Zelda was talking about, she never saved Zelda. However, Rin doesn't remember what happened in Death Mountain that much.
"W-what....what happened...I don't remember anything...." Link and Zelda glanced at each other.
"We'll tell you, but first....try to get comfortable," Zelda told Rin.
Link and Zelda explained everything that happened to them. Rin listened to them in disbelief.
