Chapter 1 Gannon by Tigervenom
Author's Notes:
In this first chapter we return to Gannondorf in his defeated state. When he took over Hyrule the first time he was able to gain an immeasurable amount of power from the triforce. A sliver of it was left behind after his defeat. Although he is weak and appears to not exist at all he manages to remember his early past and seek his revenge.
"This cannot be death," Gannondorf thought bitterly to himself. He was so close to winning that he could almost taste it and out of nowhere he failed. He was eager to survive; to return and conquer what was rightfully his. Something in him was alive he couldn't identify what it was, but it was. Whether it was a spirit or his own imagination he moved through everything his mind could remember. His counciousness reached Gerudo Valley, the place he was born where he would start again. The smell of sand filled him in his nonexistent state and he was reminded of home. He remembered ruling, savoring his power and watching it grow. He rembembered the heat and passion; and then another feeling came over him: love. Then he remembered her face: Nabooru. Her skin was the perfect color of cinamann and her crimson hair hung past her shoulders. She fought with such a vigor that none could duplicate and won his heart with such ease. Without a doubt in his mind she would be his queen. His thoughts wrapped around her savoring the feeling of her prescence until another feeling came over him: rejection. She never wanted to take over Hyrule and fufill thier destinies as king and queen of this universe. Her lovely and golden eyes saw right through his schemes. For whatever reson she married him, ruled as his second in command but he always felt her undying animosity towards him. His counsiousness dwelled on this for a moment and hten he felt betrayal. His rage consumed him yet again. "She was nothing more than a Harlot" he concluded. He relived her feeling towards the Hylian man; the only man to defeat him. She was now the Sage of Spirit and worked to fight agianst her own husband...all because of that little forest snake called Link. That little Hylian creep stole his title, stole his power but above all stole the heart of the woman he loved. With a whole new drive, he urged to return.
Chapter 2 Home Again by Tigervenom
Author's Notes:
After a long journey Link wanders aimlessly towards the horizon and stumbles on none other than a place he once knew as home.
The sound of Epona's hooves rattled in the open air as she and Link galloped towards the horizon. For once in his young life he felt that his life was his to live and his to protect. He's slayed monsters unheardof, experienced terrors unimaginable and for the first time in years he could simply admire the world around him. The air was warm and the fields were green but something about the way the sunshone and the wind blew was fairly familiar about the place he and his steed were trotting. He put her to a halt and stepped onto the soft ground. His hands gropped a bundle of grass and what he found amused him slightly. A deku nut! he exclaimed in his mind. He remembered when he fought as a young child with his very first weapon: a mere sling shot. Such humble beginings that led to such an extreme fate he murmered to himself. It had been long since he had seen one of these. He storked the smooth surface of it's shell and remebered how many villans he conquered with such a simple wonder of nature.
He looked around and a buzzing sensation indicated that he knew these lands but it couldn't be....Hyrule. He looked off to the east and far off into the distance could see the lively green of trees. Could those be the wonders of the Kokiri Forest? With a twinge of excitement he searched the area more to see a small dot slightly northwest And that, the hospitable Lon Lon Ranch? It is! For the first time in three years Link was in Hyrule. His sensation of lonliness dispersed immeadiately. He stroked Epona's glorious maine and stared at what a few years ago he called home.Where would he go first?
That question would have to wait, with an intake of breath Link withdrew his sword...he and Epona were no longer alone.
