Here we go, the first chapter!! I hope you enjoy! And please comment, I would like to see how I'm doing! Enjoy!
Chapter 1
"Rekhyt, Rekhyt come here, I don't have much time left. You must find the boy who doesn't have a fairy and bring him here to me..." said the Great Deku Tree to a little red fairy.
"Consider it done!" said the fairy excitedly. So the fairy flew off. When he came to the clearing he went between Mido's legs.
"Whoa! Stupid fairy." mumbled Mido.
'What-ever.' thought Rekhyt as he continued on his way. "Ohhh... crap! Where does he live again?" said a very annoyed fairy.
He went by the Shop and said "Hello" to the girl who was sitting there. He looked scornfully at Mido's house and looked at the boy who was trying very hard to pull out some very heavy rocks.
"Oh yeah! NOW I remember where he lives!" said Rekhyt happily. So he made a beeline to the boy's house. "I wonder what he's doi-ouch!" Rekhyt had been so distracted in his own thoughts that he didn't pay attention to where he was going and flew right into a wall. "Owww! I need to pay more attention to where I'm going!" said Rekhyt. So instead, he went through a crack in the wall."Sheesh! I could've gone around the wall." mumbled Rekhyt crossly as he flew into the house.
"Black clouds were in the sky, it was storming. A man in black and red was sitting on a black horse. A young boy of about seven or eight was standing in front of the man. A small red fairy hovering beside him."
Rekhyt flew into the house to find Link sleeping.
"Oh great. Now I have to wake him up." said Rekhyt. So he flew over to the sleeping boy and tried to wake him. After about ten minutes, he finally startedto wake.
"Wh- what the-?" Link sat straight up in shock.
"Um, hi! I'm your new fairy partner! Nice to meet you!" said a happy fairy, "Now on to business! The Great Deku Tree would like to talk with you. We must go... NOW!" he finished his sentence so sharply that Link actually jumped. "So, you ready?"
"What! I just got up!" yelled Link.
"So." said Rekhyt stubbornly.
"SO ... I want to go back to sleep ... Rekhit or Rekhyt or whatever your name is. Go away, dozo!" Said the young boy.
"How about this? I'll let you go back to sleep AFTER we go see the Deku Tree, okay?" Said the fairy who was flitting around happily.
"Ugh! Oh, alright. But I have just one question..." said the boy, rubbing his eyes.
"What?" asked the red fairy.
"How long will this take?"
"Ohhh! Never mind. Oh! Before I forget ... what's your name again? I forgot. Heh, heh, heh."
"Oh, come on, it's easy ... Link." said Link, a touch of amusement in his voice.
He got up, stretched, yawned, and put on his Kokiri Tunic. He looked in the mirror and used some water to put his hair down. It was sticking straight up. He walked out of his house and stood outside blinking.
"Hey! Link, over here!" a voice yelled from below. Link looked down.
"Hiya, Saria. How are ya doing?" replied Link.
Saria was a Kokiri as well. She was a young girl with green hair and a green fairy flying around her head. She was one of Link's best friends. He climbed down the ladder to meet her.
"Hey, Saria! How're you doing today?" asked the boy. Saria was wearing her original Kokiri clothing.
"Oh, I'm fine. Oh, wow! I see you finally have your own fairy! That's great, Link!" she said excitedly. "Where are you going this early in the morning, huh?" she asked.
"Oh, I was just going to go see the Great Deku Tree. Umm...I really, really don't know why though..." he trailed off. Saria giggled.
"Hee-hee! Okay, come find me when you're done, okay?" she asked, still smiling.
"Okay, sounds great Saria!" Link replied.
He was fully awake now. He waved goodbye to Saria and started to walk forward. His head was in the clouds. He made his way to the place the Great Deku Tree was, but he was stopped by Mido.
"And where do you think you're going, huh? No good outcast. Oh, by the way, in order to get by me you should at least have a sword and shield."
Mido was always pushing Link around. He also called him an "outcast" just because he was different. Just because he didn't have a fairy.
"Oh, okay." He left. He vaguely remembered a shield in the shop. "But first I have to collect fourty rupees," Link sighed. He looked high and low for the money.
After about thirty minutes he finally found the right amount. Link, along with Rekhyt, went to the shop.
"Hullo! How may I help you?" the shop owner asked.
"Umm, yes. I need one of the Deku Shields ... uh, please?"
"Ah, yes! Link. So I see you finally have your own fairy partner! What's his name?"
"Rekhyt, sir," Rekhyt answered for himself.
"Ahhh! Hello. Oh, right, your Deku Shield Link." The boy was so short that the top of his head barely reached the top of the counter.
"Well, goodbye Rico!" said Link smiling as he walked out the door.
"Now," he muttered to himself, "Where to find a sword..." he trailed off.
"Hey! Link?" Link was walking around trying to find a sword.
"Yeah? This better be good. I'm in a very bad mood right now," he snapped at Rekhyt.
"Okay, but listen. There is a hole near the training ground. I think the Kokiri Blade is there. Helpful enough?" he asked. It almost sounded like an injured voice.
"Oh okay. Sorry. Little flash-back there."
So Link followed by Rekhyt, went to the Training Ground. Rekhyt was right. There was a hole there. Link went through. When he emerged from the other side he heard a rumbling. He looked to his left... a HUGE boulder was going around in circles. Link screwed up his courage and... c'mon guess. He RAN! Duh! It was a small circle. First chance he got he turned right. The rock was right behind him.
"I..." he panted, hands on his knees, "must be... in... insane to... to do this. Who talked... me into this?"
"I did!" Rekhyt was laughing his head off.
"Oh right. You mean the fairy who's about to be seriously hurt, right?" he raised his hand as if to punch or grab the fairy.
"Nyah nyah you missed me! Ha ha ha ha ha!" Rekhyt was being very obnoxious right now.
"Ohhh! If I just go and get the blade will you shut up for a bit? Please?" He was pleading now.
"Yes. Fine." Rekhyt chanced a glance at Link, he was now beaming.
He waited for five minutes and ran right after the big rock. He almost passed where he needed to go.
"Hey. HEY! Turn right, you idiot!" He turned right and saw a BIG chest. He went over to it and opened it. He finally found the Kokiri Blade.
"YESSS! Now Mido will have to let me pass! Yay! Yay!" Link was jumping for joy.
"C'mon Link, let's go already." Rekhyt was sounding impatient.
"Sure!" When he was back in the Training Ground he breathed a sigh of relief. He went to where Mido was.
"Hey. Outcast! What are you doing here?" Link sneered at Mido.
"I have a sword and shield!" he said in a sing-song voice, "So let me through."
Reluctantly, Mido stepped aside. Link went through. He heard Mido mutter something, but couldn't make out what. Link went down the path. Three plants sprung up. He killed the last one and got a Deku Stick.
'Well,' he thought, 'this looks useless.' Link looked at the stick with distaste; put it away and walked forward. There stood the Great Deku Tree.
"Rekhyt I see you have returned. What... took you so long?" from what Link could see he looked curious.
"Mido." Rekhyt spat the name.
"Ahhh, I see. Link, you are probably wondering why I have called you here, right?" The Deku Tree asked in a deep, slow voice.
"Umm, yes, I have. Uh, yeah."
The Great Deku Tree continued, "I need your help," he said. "I have been cursed. I need your help to break the curse. Will you help me? Do you have enough courage?"
"Uh ... yeah ... sure ... I guess." Link looked confused.
"Thank you very much, Link! Now ... enter." He opened his mouth.
"What?!" Yelled Link, "ARE YOU SERI-OW! Okay, never mind." Rekhyt had pulled his hair.
"Just shut up and go in," then under his breath, "Idiot."
"Stupid fairy." Link and Rekhyt, still bickering, entered the Great Deku Tree.
"I really shouldn't have paired Rekhyt with Link," the Deku Tree thought.

Chapter 2
Part I
Link looked around in shock.
"Okay, now THIS is weird," the young boy said.
"We have to hurry Link! MOVE IT!" squeaked Rekhyt.
So Link carefully walked farther inside the Great Deku Tree. Inside he saw some Deku Babas and a HUGE spiderweb. Link drew his sword and walked forward. When the plant jumped at him he did a backflip and slashed it twice. His reward was ... a Deku Nut.
"Oh, great, that's just what I need," said Link sarcastically, "a Deku Nut!"
"Just shut up and keep moving," snapped a very annoyed fairy.
"Okay, okay," said Link.
Link went over to the wall and was just about to climb it when ... SNAP, he turned around and was face to face with another plant.
"WHOAH!" yelled Link in surprise, "Hel-lo." He quickly turned and climbed the wall.
"Hey, why not fight it?" asked Rekhyt.
"Oh, yeah, I really want to risk my life on a PLANT, thank you very much!" Replied Link.
Link pulled himself onto the balcony and ran along the ledge. He looked on the wall and saw some Skullwaltulla and a chest. He ignored the chest, kept on going, and jumped a gap. He then ran to the door he saw there. When he opened the door there was a bush in the middle of the room. Link looked at it with confusion. He turned his back to talk with Rekhyt for a second, but as soon as he turned away the "bush" popped up and shot something like a seed at him.
"Ahhh! Link, look out behind you!" yelled Rekhyt.
"Wha? OUCH!"
Link turned a second too late: the seed had struck in the middle of the back. Link got to his feet and put his shield in front of him. The Deku Scrub shot another seed at Link, but the seed his shield. The seed then bounced back and hit the scrub. The scrub started to run around the room. Link went and stood where the scrub had first made his appearance, then waited, and waited, and waited until finally the thing came back and gave up.
"Okay, okay, you got me. If I tell you a secret, will you let me go?" asked the scrub in a high-pitched voice.
"Uhh ... well ..."
"Okay, good! If you jump off of a cliff and try to roll, you probably won't get hurt ... if the cliff isn't very high. Heh, heh, heh!"
With that the scrub disappeared. Link went through the door on the other side of the room. This room had a platform in the center of the room and a chest beyond it. Link ran and jumped on the platform.
"Well, that wasn't so hard," said Rekhyt happily.
"Hey, Rekhyt, I have a sword, it is very sharp. So SHUT UP!" Said Link crossly.
"Just then the platform started to shake. Link quickly turned and jumped to where the chest was.
"Whew," breathed Link, "That was close!"
He turned and walked over to the chest, opened it, and pulled out the Fairy Slingshot!
"Cool! A new weapon!" said Link, excitement clearly in his voice. He turned around and saw a ladder hanging from the ceiling. Before Rekhyt could say anything stupid he shot the webs holding the ladder.
"Well, that's all good but how are we going to get down?" asked Rekhyt.
"Like this," Link jumped down and cut the grass that was growing at the bottom.
He got five rupees for his trouble and some Deku Seeds. He then went back to the main room, took careful aim and shot the three spiders on the wall. Link started to climb. When he reached the top, he took a look at his surroundings. He saw three large shadows.
"Ugh! I hate spiders," groaned Link, who took out his slingshot and shot each spider twice. Link then jumped off one of the edges, drew his sword as he fell and cut the web away.
"Ahhhhh!" Screamed Link. Luckily he landed in water. He got out of the water and killed the Deku Baba that was there. He passed through the doorway next to him and entered a circular room. Link quickly killed the Skultulla waiting there.
"What are those things? They look like eggs. Ugh, that's sick," said Link, looking at the egg-like things.
Link wasn't about to take any changes, so he shot the egg-like things.
"What were those things?" asked Rekhyt.
"Don't really know ... don't want to find out," said Link.
Rekhyt thought Link looked a little green.
'Naw, I'm just being stupid,' thought Rekhyt.
Link obviously thought it was safe because he walked into the middle of the room. He lit a Deku Stick in the nearby burning torch and burned up the web that was in the way. Link got down on his knees and crawled through the hole he saw in the wall. When on the other side he burned the web that was covering the hole with a Deku Stick.
"Whew! I hope we don't need another of those," said Link.
"Why?" Asked Rekhyt.
"I used them all up! Hahahaha!" laughed Link, who then jumped down the hole.
"AAAAAAARGH!" yelled Link. He landed in water. There were three scrubs.
"Ohhhh ... crap. Rekhyt, what was the order again?" asked Link.
"Wha? Oh, yeah ... 2, 3, 1!"
"Oh, right!"
So, Link defeated the scrubs in that order. A HUGE door opened after he defeated them. Link went through...
Part II - Queen Gohma
Link walked into the dark room.
"Wow!" said Rekhyt, "It's dark in here!"
"Oh! You think?" Replied Link smartly as he walked further into the pitch-black room.
"H-hey, um, uh ... Link?" Squeaked Rekhyt.
"Hunh?" Answered Link, distracted.
"L-look up!"
Link looked up and started. A big yellow eye was looking at Rekhyt and Link from the ceiling. The thing dropped down. She was a very big, ugly spider and had one big, yellow eye.
"Ewww! Gross! What is that thing?" Yelled Link.
'Okay,' thought Rekhyt as Link was running around in panic, 'Now he looks green.'
"Uh, Rekhyt? I really could use some advice ... NOW!"
"Huh? Oh yeah ... strike her when her eye turns red. Ah-ha! Use the Deku Nuts to turn it red."
Link stopped running around and hit the yellow glowing eye with a Deku nut. She fell to the ground stunned, her yellow eye turned red. Link ran up and slashed her red eye six times. She got up and charged at Link, knocking him over. He got up coughing, got in front of her, stunned her and finally slashed her. Three more hits were all it took; "Queen Gohma" was dead. In the spider's place was a heart container. All of a sudden he wasn't tired anymore. Link stepped into the blue light, and the next thing he knew he was standing in front of the Great Deku Tree.
"Whew, glad that's over with! I mean ... holy crap!" Said Link.

So that's the end of the second chapter. Oh, and would someone tell me how you like Rekhyt? ^.^ Thought it would be a good idea if I took Navi out!

Din, Nayru, and Farore by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Here is the third chapter! Enjoy!
Link was standing before the Great Deku Tree.
"Sooo... I did it right? I mean I broke the curse... right?" asked Link.
"No," replied the Deku Tree, in his deep, slow voice, "I was doomed to begin with..."
"Say wha-?"
"Sit down I have something to tell thee..." the Deku Tree said, "A long time ago before this world was created, there were three goddesses: Din, Nayru, and Farore. Din used her strength to form the world. Nayru created the law of the world. And Farore, she created the life forms to up hold the law. With their job complete... the three goddesses shot towards the sky. When they left the world, the Triforce was created." Link was sitting on the ground. It looked like he was paying attention... but his eyes were wandering around. "Now... you must go... and see the... Princess Zelda."
And with that the Great Deku Tree passed away.
Link started to run down the path, ignoring the plants but was stopped by none other than Mido.
"What happened?" Mido demanded.
"Uh, well... I... um..." Link was at a loss for words.
"Did he die?" asked Mido, then without waiting for an answer said, "He did, didn't he? Link, how could you?" With that Mido stalked off.
"Pft. What an idiot, huh? I mean come on. He blames you for everything doesn't he?" asked Rekhyt.
Link walked back to his house.
"Hey, wait Link, where are you going? We should do what the Deku Tree said and go see the princess." said the little red fairy who was following Link.
"Listen, Rekhyt, I need some rest, okay? I'm worn out." said Link, weariness in his voice.
"NO!" yelled Rekhyt sharply, "WE NEED TO GO NOW!"
"Or else...?" asked Link.
"Or I won't stop annoying you." said Rekhyt, smirking.
"Ugh! Oh, alright.. Fine. Let's go." said Link, then in a softer voice, "You stupid, no-good fairy!"
"WHAT!" screamed Rekhyt.
"Nothing, let's just go."
Link and Rekhyt started to go out of the Kokiri Forest. They were in the Lost Woods when...
"You're leaving, aren't you?"
Link turned around and saw Saria standing there, her green fairy hovering above her head.
"Um ... uh, yeah." Link said finally.
"I knew you would someday, Link. I mean, you're different from me and my friends. So I want you to have this," she held out an ocarina to him. "That way, when you play it you'll remember me..."
"I'll always remember you, Saria." said Link in a kind voice.
He turned around and ran out of the forest. Saria looked after him.
"Goodbye Link. I know I'll see you again someday. But I will wait. After all, Kokiri never age."
She turned around and went back into the forest, ignoring the strange looks she got from everybody.

Peahats and Hyrule Field by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Well here's chapter 4! Sorry it's so short! Enjoy!
~Chikita~
Chapter 4
When Link came to Hyrule Field he blinked the sun out of his eyes.
'Oh man, why is it so... ugh... bright? Ohhh yeahhh, not as many trees out here.' thought the boy rubbing his eyes.
He moved forward down a winding path. The trees that led to the clearing were curved up like a bridge.
"Cooooool!" Link said, "Nice touch."
He moved closer to the field.
When he reached the bridge, he looked up. An owl was perched on the trees. It was looking at him.
Then all of a sudden the bird spoke, "Hello, Link." it said, "My name is, Keapora Gaebora! I know your name because I've seen you in the forest."
Link looked at the owl. 'Okay this is weird! A bird is talking to me. Well I've seen much more weird than THAT!' the boy thought, looking confused.
"You must try to reach the castle by nightfall, okay?" the bird spoke, snapping Link out of his daydream of what the princess would look like.
"Hunh? Oh... oh yeah right! No problem."
The owl flew off because his job was now done.
'We'll meet again. I hope.'
Link turned to Rekhyt, who was flying around all over the place. Link was getting pretty dizzy now.
"Hey! Hey Rekhyt!" Rekhyt stopped flying around and looked at Link with undivided attention, "Did you by any chance catch what that owl was telling us?" Link looked at Rekhyt hopefully.
"Yeah... sort of... something about getting to the castle before dark or something willllllllll..." he paused, lost for words, then continued, "Just get to the castle you idiot."
"Ohhh, just shut up Rekhyt. Oh... by the way... I'M NOT AN IDIOT!" Link yelled. 'I hate this fairy, I hate this fairy, I HATE THIS FARIY!'
Link along with Rekhyt went under the bridge like trees and were finally in the open. He looked to his left. A big yellow... ish, orange... ish... thing was sitting in the middle of some bushes. It had something like a propeller on top of its head. And... it was fat.
"Hey Rekhyt?" asked Link, "What is that? It looks weird."
"Ummm... hang on." Rekhyt paused eyes shut, then said, "It’s a Peahat."
Link stared at him, then fell down laughing. His face was now turning red.
"Peahats? Oh puh-lease!"
Link was laughing so hard that he didn’t notice that the Peahat had risen up and was flying right at them.
"Link? Uh Link? Sit up! It’s coming right at us!" yelled Rekhyt.
Link looked up. He saw something that did startle him. The Peahat’s propeller was spinning very fast; it looked like three very sharp knives. Link sat up very fast and stood up. He was no longer smiling. Instead he was now panicking.
"What do I do? Tell me for crap’s sake!" yelled Link.
"Run Link run!" replied Rekhyt.
So that’s just what Link did. He ran, and ran, and ran until he could see the Hyrule Castle. Sweat was beading down his forehead and he was panting. The sun was setting. He finally reached the drawbridge when he looked back. The Peahat had finally stopped chasing him. He looked at the drawbridge; it was starting to rise. He jumped and just made it. He looked back again and saw some skeletons.
"Phewee! THAT was close!" Link breathed a sigh of relief.
"Hey, kid! What’re you doing out here?"
Link and Rekhyt turned around.

The Market by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Here's the next one. Enjoy!
~Chikita~
"Hey! You two! What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
Link and Rekhyt turned around and saw a gaurd, his expression had anger and confusion in it. Rekhyt and Link gulped.
"Well?" the guard looked at both of them in turn, "You're not from around here are you?" he asked.
"Well kind sir..." Rekhyt began but Link had grabbed him and told him to shut up.
"Let me handle this." he whispered to Rekhyt, "And let a man do the talking." (fyi: link is only 7/8 years old)
"A man? Your just a kid. Idiot." he retorted back, watching Link's face turn red from embarrassment.
"Man, kid." he said, standing straight up, "Same thing you little red fluff-ball! Now shut up!"
Link and Rekhyt then went on bickering like fish-wives until the guard couldn't take it any more! He finally told both of them to shut-up and go into the Market so he could be left in peace and quiet. The two left.
'Kids these days...' thought the guard, shaking his head.
Link and Rekhyt had finally stopped arguing with each other when they hit the Market. Dogs. Dogs were everywhere. Brown and white ones running around the Market.
'Hmmm' thought Link, 'I wonder if these dogs would eat fairies.'
But he was inturupted by Rekhyt. "I'm bored. I'm bored. I'm bor-"
"Shut up Rekhyt! Please! For heavens sake shut up!"
"Okay but only if you will hurry up!"
Just then, before Link could reply, they both heard bueatiful singing. Link looked ahead of him and his mouth dropped open. A young girl was standing not to far away from Link and Rekhyt.
"Oh no!" said Rekhyt, "Don't even think about it lover boy!"
Link made his way to the girl. She stopped singing and looked at Link.
"Oh!" she said, "Who are you? Hang on! A fairy? Wait, you're from the forest, aren't you?" Link nodded, "Thought so. Sorry I didn't introduce myself, I'm Malon. If you're going up to the castle... will you take this egg? You could breed it."
Link just stared at her, lost for words.
He felt a tug on the back of his tunic, Rekhyt was pulling him in the direction of the castle. He was babbling endlessly, "Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blaaaaah, blah, blahblah, blah! So did you get all of that?" he asked.
Link nodded dumbly. And with his head still in the clouds, went to the castle, Rekhyt behind him.

"Shut up and be quiet" by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Now, this is the only chapter that has a song in it. It is in japanese and I will have the english lyrics at the end. ^.^ Enjoy!
~Chikita~
When Link and Rekhyt were out of the Market, Link looked up. He saw a HUGE, White castle made of stone. He then heard some music, the Japanese kind. The guard was not paying Link any mind. He caught some of the music and he sort of liked it. The words were none like he had ever heard.
Kimi note de kirisaite omoi hi no kioku o kanashimi no iki no ne o tometekure yo. Saa ai ni kogarete mune o tsuranuke. Asu ga kuru hazu no sora o mite. Mayou bakari no kokoro motte amashiteru. Kimi no te de kirisaite. Omoi hi no kioku o. Kanashimi no iki no no o tometekure yo. Saa ai ni kogarete mune o tsuranuke.
Link would have liked to listen to the rest, but Rekhyt had dragged him away.
"What in the world are you doing?" he hissed.
"I'm, uh, listening to the music... duh! Idiot!"
Rekhyt growled at him for THAT! Link looked over to his right and saw some vines growing on the wall. Carefully he walked over to the wall. He climbed the vines... or at least tried to. The music kept distracting him. Link got to his feet and tried yet again to climb the vines, buuuut... fell back on his rear! Rekhyt was becoming very impatient. Link’s face was now screwed up in concentration. He was trying very hard not to listen to the nice Japanese music.
‘Ohhhh!’ thought Rekhyt, ‘Didn’t want to do this but oh well.’ He sighed, "Hey Liiiiink!" he said in a singsong voice. Link flinched and looked at Rekhyt. He knew what was coming.
"Yes?" he whimpered.
"Hurry up or else I will keep saying something..." he smirked.
"What word?" Link was almost too afraid to ask.
"This. I’m bored! I’m bored! I’m bored! I’m bor..." but he was cut off by Link who had his hands over his ears.
‘There’s no such thing as stupid fairies! No such thing as stupid fairies!’ thought Link desperately but all to no avail, Rekhyt was very much real... sadly. "Okay, okay! I’m going! I’m going! Sheesh!"
Link scrambled up the vines, successfully this time. When he reached the top, he carefully walked on the ledge. He was almost distracted by the softer music coming from the radio. He covered his ears and walked on. When he reached the end of the path, he saw a hole. Link looked down and saw a ladder.
‘Good.’ He thought as he climbed down the ladder.
When he reached the bottom, he overheard two guards talking with each other.
"So the Princess Zelda is still trying to get her father to believe that dream she’s been having?" asked one guard.
"Yup. She is a stubborn one." replied the second guard.
"Mm-hmm." the other guard nodded.
Link heard the music in the background and he felt very sleepy all of a sudden. But Rekhyt snapped him out of it just in time.
"Careful." He hissed. Link nodded.
He quickly but quietly, stepped out of the small stone building and looked all around. Guards were everywhere. Link gulped.
"Hurry up Link!"
"Huh? Oh right... sorry."
Link carefully crept out of the guards’ lookout. Link was very, very glad that no guards were in there.
"Or I’d be in some very deep crap." said Link quietly as he moved forward.
Link looked ahead of him and saw a big rock. He looked at it with confusion. Then he saw a sign, but he couldn’t read it from where he was. It was close to sunset now. Because he couldn’t read it, he moved closer to the sign. It read: Notice: DEAD END TURN AROUND.
"Oooookayyyy. Weird." he said to himself.
He did turn around. Well what else could he have done? Walk into the wall? I think not! Link looked around him so he could see where the guards were. To his right, there were two of them, they were chatting with each other. Straight ahead and to the left, there was one more.
‘Well,’ thought Link, ‘I might be able to sneak my way past them...’ he paused in his thoughts, 'Well I would, if this stupid fairy would just shut up! Ah-ha! Got it! Now I know what to do!'
Link crept forward and prayed to Din that Rekhyt would be quiet. It was as if Din had heard his prayer. He was as silent as the grave. Just as he reached the hill a wolf howled somewhere in the distance. Link jumped and looked around in panic. Where were the Skullkids?
‘Maybe they won’t come to this place. Cooool!’ he thought.
He pushed on. He continued, luckily the guard didn’t notice him. Link smiled to himself. One of the guards sneezed and Link jumped and turned around veeerrryyy slowly. The guard didn’t turn. Link breathed a sigh of relief as he pushed on. He hid behind a tree and looked at the castle entrance.
"Oh! That’s just great!" Link breathed.
"What?" asked Rekhyt, clueless as ever.
"Ugh, look in front of you ya’ idiot!" now it was Link’s turn to be impatient.
Two guards were standing guard in front of the entrance to the castle. They, like all the other guards, were chatting with each other.
"Oh... okay." He looked at Link, "Would you like me to shut up?" he asked.
"Yes very much. Wait... why are you asking me this?"
"Because, you will get very pissed off wouldn’t you?"
"Why yes I would. How did you know?"
‘Experience.’ thought Rekhyt.
Link looked around for a way to get around the guards. On the wall there were some jagged rocks that he could climb up. Link smiled and ran over to the wall. He climbed up the rocks. All of a sudden, he felt a movement in his tunic. He pulled out the egg that Malon had given him.
"Oh! I had completely forgotten about this." he said.
The egg started to shake. Link looked at it, he was puzzled. Then all of a sudden, the egg hatched. Lo’ and behold! A chicken!
"Whoop-de-doo! Joy!" he said, sarcasm in his voice.
The chicken crowed. Link thought fast... for the guards were looking his way now. He jumped down and got in the water. The water was very cold. Instantly the young boy began to shiver.
"V-very b-b-bad id-idea." he muttered under his breath, teeth chattering in the cold.
"No kidding, stupid." retorted Rekhyt.
"Sh-shut u-up R-rekhyt."
Link swam until he found a way out of the water. He climbed out and lay down in the warm sun. He breathed a sigh of relief.
‘Well,’ he thought, ‘better get movin’ or Rekhyt will get on my case...’
He trailed off in his thoughts because over to the right, there was a man, a fat man mind you, anyway the man was sleeping and snoring... very loudly too. Link got up and walked towards the sleeping man.
"Ah-ha!" said Link excitedly, "THAT’S why Malon gave me the egg... so I could wake fatty up here."
Link pulled out the very wet Cuckoo, it tried to peck him, well, he put the cuckoo beside the man. The chicken crowed. The man woke with a start.
"Wh-what in tarnation?" he just noticed Link for the first time, "Who are you, laddie?" Link blinked at the man. "Oh right sorry, I didn’t introduce myself, my name’s Talon. Nice to meet ya’ sonny!"
Link flinched, he did not like to be called ‘sonny’.
"Uh, well," he stopped, "Malon tol--" he was cut off by Talon who all of a sudden was panicking.
Talon jumped up and ran off. He ran out the front gates.
"Oh no fair." pouted Rekhyt, "HE gets go through the front gate."
"Well know what, Rekhyt? Life’s just not fair."
That shut Rekhyt up. Link looked around for a new entrance. Finally after about five minutes found it: boxes were in front of him. Then he got an idea. He moved over to the boxes and began to make something like a bridge, for there was a hole in the side of the castle.
"Hey Link what’re you doin’ hunh?"
"Just watch and learn, stupid fairy, watch and learn."
He was able to use his plan to create a bridge. He climbed on top of the boxes and jumped over to the hole. He crawled through.
When he entered the Castle Grounds, he looked around and proceeded. He moved forward and he saw guards patrolling around.
"Ohhhh joy! More guards. Now what?" Link said to himself.
"Well you could jus--" Link cut him off.
"I know what to do now, baka, so just shut up."
It took him fifteen minutes to get past all of the guards. He finally entered the princesses’ courtyard.
‘Finally!’ he thought.
He walked over to the princess and got her attention. She turned and gasped.
"Hunh? Who are?" she stopped as she saw Rekhyt, "You’re from the forest, aren’t you?" she asked. Link nodded. The girl laughed. "I have something to tell you... will you listen?" Again Link nodded, "Okay! It’s about this dream I’ve been having...blah, blah, blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, blah, blah! Would you like me to repeat myself?" Link shook his head and slapped Rekhyt who had fallen asleep and was snoring. (can fairies snore?) "Well I want to show you a man, his name is Ganondorf. Will you look?"
‘Like I have a choice.’ thought Link, as he looked at the man. Boy was he ugly!
The man turned his head and looked right at Link. Link panicked.
"Did he see you?" asked Zelda, "Well don’t worry, he doesn’t know what we’re planning... yet! Heeheehee! Oh you have to leave before the guards find you. Here take this letter so you can get to Death Mountain." She handed him a letter.
"Death Mountain?" he echoed.
"Oh don’t worry, my assistant, Impa will guide you."
Link turned around and saw a tall, scary looking women standing there. He walked over to the women.
"I will now teach you a song, it is called Zelda’s Lullaby." Link then learned Zelda’s Lullaby.
Impa then somehow warped Link and herself outside of the castle. Link looked around in shock.
"You must now go to Kakariko Village. Above the village is a mountain called Death Mountain. Go there and collect the Spiritual Stone of Fire. I must leave you now."
She threw a Deku Nut and disappeared... or so Link thought, a few seconds later he heard a, "OUCH! Stupid chain!"
Link turned to Kakariko Village and made his way to his next destination!

That's the chapter! Longer isn't it? Oh, here are the lyrics:
Take the memories of distant days, tear them up with your own hands, and squeeze the life out of your sorrows for me. Come on, and pierce my heart as it yearns for your love! Looking at the sky, thinking tomorrow must be coming, it's too much for my captivated heart to take. As a bird flutters along beside me, I wonder where he managed to find his light. Say, would you carry me on your back as well? And leave me at the hightest place there is, far away from kindness? Take the memories of distant days, tear them up with your own hands, and squeeze the life out of your sorrows for me. Come on, and pierce my heart as it yearns for your love!

Author's Notes:
Yea I know. The chapter title. Well, when I played this game, my mom and I decided to change it from Kakariko Village, to Kaka Village. It's shorter. And I like it. ^.^
~Chikita~
Link looked at Death Mountain from outside of the castle.
"She wants us to go WHERE?" yelled Rekhyt in a rage.
"She saaaiiid," here he adopted a deep voice, " 'You must go to Dea--" he was cut off by Rekhyt.
"I know where we're supposed to go! I mean... WHY? Why do we have to go to a place called, 'Death Mountain?'"
"Welllllll... you are the one who said we must save Hyrule from total destruction." he looked at his fairy and started twards Kakariko Village.
"I did not say that." the red fairy yelled, flying in a frenzy, "The Great Deku Tree did. So there! Pthhhhhhht!"
"Yes, that is true." Link replied slowly, "But you are the one who said, 'We have to do what the Great Deku Tree says?"
"Ugh! Fine! Let's just go and get ourselves killed..."
"Glad ya' see it my way!" said Link smugly, and laughing to himself as he made his way to Kakariko Village.
He made his way across the bridge and over to the stairs. Beside the stairs was a sign. It read: Kakariko Village up ahead! Enjoy! Link laughed and went up the stairs and in to Kakariko Village.
When he entered the village, he heard Rekhyt talking to him, "Why are you listening to that girl? Huh?"
"Which one?" asked Link with genuine confusion, "The princess or Miss. 'Tall, dark, and scary'?"
"Tall, dark, and scary."
Link ignored him. He was worn out. Not only from the guards, but from Rekhyt. Link was looking around confused.
'Ooooookay.' he thought, 'What to do. What to do. What to-' he stopped, "A CHICKEN!"
He was right, there was a chicken in front of them. Link was looking at it with joy.
"I love cuckoos! They're sooo cute and fluffy!" Link went over to the cuckoo and picked it up. The chicken snapped at him. "AHHHHHHHH!" yelled Link in a panic. He held the bird in front of him for the chicken was trying to peck him to death.
"Hey Link!" yelled Rekhyt, Link looked at him. It was as if his eyes were saying, 'What do you want? Tell me for crap's sake.' Rekhyt continued, "Maybe you should go around town and see if anyone wants it..." he trailed off. Link nodded at him.
Holding the wild cuckoo at arms lenghth, he ran around town trying to find someone who would take the feathered creature. Then after about ten minutes he saw a lady, she looked worried about something, then Link saw a pen. Link walked over to the lady.
"Excuse me ma'am," he said, she looked at him and saw the cuckoo he was holding, "does this," he held up the chicken, "uh, belong to you?" the lady nodded.
"Um... could you please put it in the pen? I have allergies so I get goose-bumpes if I tuch them. I hate to ask you this... but could you please, please, please round up all of them for me?"
Link just couldn't refuse. He nodded. He then spent the next fifteen minutes running around town. He looked high and low. When he returned with the last one, he was out of breath.
"H...here ya' g...go ma'am." he panted and gasped for breath.
"Thank you! Thank you, well as I promised, here is your reward.."
She handed him a bottle made out of pure glass. Link said 'thanks' and took the glass. He then wandered around for a couple of hours. He had NO clear idea on what he was to do next. He saw a path leading out of town. A man shouted a warning at him, but he hardly heard it over the noise of the town. He continued down the path anyway. The sky was all of a sudden dark. Link looked up, the clouds were covering the sky.
"Whoa! What happened to the sun? Where did it go?" asked Rekhyt.
"The clouds are covering it up, idiot." Link snapped back.
The Graveyard was creeping him out. He shivered. Link scanned the Graveyard as if he was expecting a ghost to appear out of thin air. Rekhyt was looking around too. Then he saw a big tombstone at the back of the Graveyard. The fairy thought it looked suspicious. He tried to get Link's attention but he was looking at a wierd man holding a lanturn.
"Hey Link." Rekhyt whispered, Link looked at him, "Look at the back of the Graveyard... doesn't that stone over there seem a little odd to you?"
Link looked at the stone, his annoying fairy was right! Just then an idea sruck the young boy and he moved forward. He tried as best as he could to avoid the scary looking man.
Link was almost there when a slow and cracked voice reached him, "Hey, boy. What are you doing in the gravesite?"
Link froze and gulped.
He turned, "Um.. uh... I was just checking things out. Y'know... I'm new here." Link smiled weakly, "Um, just asking... but... um what's your name?" the gravekeeper just looked at him.
"My name is Dampe', and yours?"
Link stood as tall as he could and replied, "My name is Link... now may I go?" Dampe' just nodded.
Link turned and automaticlly, without thinking... pulled out his ocarina and played Zelda's Lullaby. Just then the sky got darker and it started to rain. A bolt of lightning struck and Link flew back. A hole was under the stone. Link jumped down.
When he opened his eyes, what he saw scared him out of his skin. What looked like dead people were standing all around. They were moaning. Link then learned from a reluctant Rekhyt that they were known as, Re-Deads. He gulped, took a breath and... ran. He didn't even look where he was runing but his feet were burning, he looked down. Acid. He was runing through acid. He ran until he was at the back of the room. He panted.
He saw another tombstone and on it was an inscription. It read: The Sun's Song. Once used, you can turn it from night to day and vice-versa. Use it to put restless souls to rest. Under the inscription, was a song. Link pulled out his ocarina and copied the notes.
'I wonder if it did anything.'
Rekhyt yelled at Link, "Hey! The Re-Deads are frozen! We can get by them without going through the acid! You'd better hurry though!"
Link nodded and put his ocarina away and ran out of the tomb.
When he got back in to Kaka Village he shook his head. 'What just happened? Ohhhh yeah! I got the Sun's Song.' He walked over to the entrance to Death Mountain. A guard was there. 'Ohhh, that's just great! Wait! Zelda gave me this letter. He showed the letter to the guard.
"Hahahahahah! Hey kid, if you will give me a mask, I will give you a shield. Okay?"
But Link had other plans. He bribed the guard with, "I'll get you five masks if you just give me the shield." the guard said yes.
Link was now fully equipped. He headed up the trail to Death Mountain.
Death Mountain Trail by Moon_Flower_Chikita

So, how do you like it so far?
~Chikita~
As Link started up Death Mountain Trail, he saw some spiders on the path. The boy sighed."Oh, great!" he said in exasperation.
Regardless, he made his way up the path. He was too tired to fight the spiders, soooo he just ran for his life! Rekhyt was having trouble keeping up. When Link reached the top of the hill, he looked around. He couldn’t see anymore spiders. But little did he know that another spider was waiting for him at the top of the hill. It jumped down and landed on Link’s back.
"Damn!" yelled Link to the surprise of Rekhyt.
Link didn’t swear very often. He turned around and drew his blade. Link then stabbed the spider on the stomach. It was immediately destroyed. Link stood up and brushed the dust off his tunic. He walked forward and saw something like a rock with a face on its butt. Link walked forward cautiously. The "rock" stood up and looked at Link.
"Hello," it said, "Who are you?"
"Ummm, uh, my name’s Link." the rock looked at him. "Are you a Goron?" asked the boy. The Goron nodded. "Could you uh, tell me where ya’ live?"
"Yesssss." said the Goron slowly, "Continue up the mountain. You’ll know where ta’ go."
The Goron just fell back on it’s face and went back to sleep.
"Weeelllll, THAT was helpful!" said Link sarcastically.
He continued up the mountain just like the Goron told him. The Goron was right he did know where to go. He went up the path when he heard a rumbling, he looked up. A Goron was rolling down the hill. Link looked at it, with a stunned expression. The Goron came right at him. Link screamed as the Goron hit him. He got up and ran up the hill. There was an entrance to Goron City. Link knew this because a sign on the right said: Welcome to Goron City! Enjoy!
When Link entered Goron City... he found that it was just like a small circle of some sort. When he was finished looking around he felt like doing something rash! He ran forward and jumped down to the bottom floor. A carpet was at the back of the room.
"Hey, Link! This carpet... OUCH!" Link had smacked Rekhyt very hard.
"SHUT UP REKHYT! PLEASE!" Link, for some reason knew what to do, he pulled out his ocarina and played the song that Impa had taught him. Zelda’s Lullaby.
The whole city began to shake and the door that was in front of him began to open. Link and Rekhyt went through. They entered the room and saw another Goron. It was bigger than all the other Gorons.
He sneered at the boy. "Get out of my room!" he yelled, "When I herd the song of the Royal Family, I was expecting someone other than you! Ya’ squirt!" Link stared at him, "I know what ya’ want! You want the Spiritual Stone of Fire! Right?" Link nodded, dumbfounded.
The Goron was thinking of something, ‘What if, I make him go and get rid of the Dodongos in the cavern! I would then give him the stone. Not like he would ever make it out! Heh heh heh!’ "Okay! Let’s make a deal. I’ll give you the stone..." Link looked at him. "IF you can open up Dodongos Cavern and kill all the creatures inside!" Link’s smile turned into a frown.
"And if I do that..."
"Yes I will give you the Spiritual Stone."
Link nodded. What else could he do except agree?
"Oh! And take this.." the Goron handed him a bracelet. Link took it with confusion. "It’s a ‘Goron Bracelet’ it will let even a little guy like you pick up Bomb Flowers."
Link nodded and left the big Goron to sulk in his misery. He left the city. When he was out of the city, he went over to his right and saw another Goron. A bomb flower was next to it. Link went over to it and picked it up.
‘It’s a bomb.’ He thought, ‘If I don’t throw it... don’t really want to think about that!’ He threw the bomb over the fence. He then heard an explosion. He looked down... the boulder that was blocking the entrance to the cavern was destroyed.
"Good!" he said aloud to himself. Once again, he felt like doing something rash. He jumped down. ‘BAD IDEA!’ he screamed in his head.
As he landed he stayed there, dazed, before he went into the Fiery Cavern...

The Fiery Cavern by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Hehehe, I wrote this chapter in school a year ago. ^.^ In fact, I do most of my writing during school. /sweatdrops/ Well, here is your chapter! Enjoy!
~Chikita~
Link looked around the cavern and instantly he started to sweat.
"Why," he panted, "is it so hot in here?"
"Oh! Let me think," the fairy paused, "one, it’s close to a volcano. Two, what’s that red stuff in the middle of the room? Oh! It’s lava, idiot." he snapped.
He looked at Link. He looked faint from the heat. His eyes were half closed. Suddenly, he shook himself and walked into the cave.
‘I hope he’s okay.’ thought Rekhyt as Link began to sway.
‘I have to concentrate or I’m in some really, really, deep crap!’ he thought.
He steadied himself. The room was very big; it had some kind of ledge in front of Link. A platform was rising and falling repeatedly. Beyond it was a Bemos (as Rekhyt called it) and behind it was a stone in the shape of a dinosaur. There are two more rising and falling platforms on the sides. Link was trying to decide which way to go. Suddenly, he took off his Deku Shield and put on his brand new Hylian Shield. It was way too big for him.
"Why did you put THAT shield on Link?" he asked.
"Because," Link replied, "my other shield would burn up... duh!"
Rekhyt could tell he was agitated. He bit back a retort and was silent for a while. He chose to go to the left. A Beamos was there. Since Rekhyt was quiet, Link had to figure out how to fight the creature himself. It wasn’t very hard. He picked up a bomb flower, timed it right and threw the bomb... he missed (shows what good aim he has!) but it turns out that not the bomb but the smoke killed the Beamos.
"Well that wasn’t so hard. I’ll have to remember how to beat those things." he mumbled to himself.
He walked over to where the Beamos was and went through the door that was behind the Beamos. Inside, there was a hallway. There were some very odd-looking statues there. He walked forward with caution in his steps. All of a sudden two green lizard-like things came up from under the ground. They charged at Link who stood rooted at the spot in shock. He recovered just in time. The thing jumped at him. Link cut it in two. But from behind him the other one caught him off guard. He gritted his teeth in pain. He turned. He slashed. The lizard was dead. He ran down the hall. Three more lizards met him. He just ran from them in panic. He reached the end of the hall, climbed up onto the ledge. Link was just pulling himself up when one of the lizards jumped on him. He cursed under his breath. He shot it with his slingshot. The thing exploded.
"WOAH!" Link screamed, "Didn’t see that coming. Whew! I hate those things."
"They were Baby Dodongo’s." said a high voice. Link looked at Rekhyt.
"Oh, so NOW ya’ talk. A little late anyway." said the boy, heatedly.
"By the way... ya’ handled them very well indeed." said the little fairy smirking.
"Shaddup Rekhyt. Just shut up."
He was very angry now. He moved over to the statues, pulled one of them onto the switch. The door opened. Link went through. This room was full of lava and had some platforms. Two lizards dropped down from the ceiling.
"What are that things?" asked Link, shocked, "Not more lizards. I hate lizards."
"I thought you hated spiders." said Rekhyt, "Oh yeah before you get furious again... those ‘things’ are called Lizafols. Kind of like ninja lizards."
He looked at Link smugly; he was changing his shield again.
The Lizafols jumped over the platforms to get to him. Rekhyt was right, they were like ninja lizards they certainly fought like it.
"Holy... crap," Link panted with the effort to keep up with the monsters, "these things are... fast. This is... har-owww!" One of the lizards had got under his defenses and struck him. He got a shallow cut on his side.
"Okay," he gasped, "now I’m pissed off! Die, lizards, die!" he fought like a maniac.
He finally killed one of the lizards. It only took him about oh, say, five or ten minutes!
"Fight like that more often and you’ll never get hurt again!"
"Rekhyt?" Link was still grappling with the other Lizafols.
"Yeees?"
"No... dis- woah... distractions. Please."
He said ‘please’ just as he cut the lizard. It fell down dead. A little bit of blood was still coming out of his side but it was nothing to worry about. He sat down to rest for a little bit and to wait for his side to stop bleeding. It stopped bleeding after about three minutes. He got up gingerly. Link looked around to find a door.
"Hey, Link, there is a door right behind you. Go through there." Rekhyt said looking at the door.
"Rekhyyyt," said Link, sounding stressed, "that’s the door we just came through. Idiot!"
Just then he found the door he was looking for. He hopped over to the door while resisting the urge to throw Rekhyt into the boiling hot lava. He opened it and ran down a loooong hallway. He stopped running just in time. There was a platform in the center of the room. Another hallway was beyond the platform.
"Well... what are you waiting for? Just jump over!"
Typical Rekhyt, he wasn’t looking forward. A ring of fire was on the platform in the center of the room.
"I can’t." Link stated flatly.
"Why not?" asked the small annoying fairy.
"Look ahead of you, genius!"
Rekhyt looked forward. "Oh sorry. Hey by the way... how’s your side? You okay?" he asked with false concern.
Link ignored him. He looked up and saw an eye. He got an idea. He brought out his Fairy Slingshot, took careful aim and hit the eye. The flame went out.
"How’s THAT, Rekhyt?" asked Link, sneering.
"Oh, um, uh... I knew that." said Rekhyt. He looked putout.
Link jumped quickly over the platform before the flames came back up. He was running down the hall when he saw something-green pop up.
"Ohhh great!" Link groaned, "Not these things again."
He pulled out his sword and stood in a fighter stance ready to battle the lizards. ‘Wait,’ he thought, ‘what am I doing? Why waste my time?’
"LINK!" Rekhyt shouted, "LINK WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"I’m running from these things in panic... what does it look like?" Link yelled in reply, making his way to the door.
Link was shocked when he got to the end of the hall... he was unscathed. He went through the door.
"Hunh." muttered Link, "This looks oddly familiar... oh yeah! This looks like the room we were in about fifteen minutes ago... then that means... Ohhhh... no! Not again.." he trailed off.
"What?" asked his stupid fairy. Then he looked up. "Oh never mind..."
Two Lizafols dropped down from the ceiling. Link groaned and drew his sword. He beat them faster this time cause he was kinda used to their fighting style.
When he defeated both lizards, a chest dropped down. As Link made his way to it he thought, ‘Man what else is up in the ceiling?’ When he reached the chest he opened it and found... bombs!
"COOOL!" yelled Link jumping for joy, "Now I can blow things up! Nice!"
"So... ya’ gonna keep goin’ or what?"
Startled, Link looked up, "Huh? Oh, oh yeah. I’m goin’. I’m goin’."
Link went to the other door and went through. He was high up now. A bridge was in front of them; a sign was next to it. It read: To open the Dodongo’s mouth, make it’s eyes see red.
Link knew exactly what to do... unfortunately... Rekhyt didn’t.
"Link, what’re you do-"
Link cut him off, "Shut up Rekhyt! At least I know what to do!"
Link ran onto the bridge and threw two bombs down into the Giant Dodongo’s eyes. They glowed red and the giant mouth opened.
‘Now,’ thought Link, ‘I could either spend the next ten minutes getting to the bottom. Orrrr I could save some time and just jump down...’ Link chose the latter.
He jumped down and landed right in front of the mouth and behind the Beamos. Link gulped and ran back into the door behind him.
"Okay," said Link, he sounded annoyed, "not these guys again!"
Bet ya’ know who Link’s talking about! Yup! Lizafols were patrolling the area. He jumped down and rushed in recklessly. He lashed out with his sword. When he was done, he was panting. He then advanced into the next room. Inside, there was a chest but when the boy looked at the floor, he saw something odd... the floor was discolored. He got an idea; he ran over to the odd colored floor and placed a bomb. Link stepped back so he wouldn’t be caught in the blast. When the smoke cleared there was a huge hole in front of boy and fairy. Link ignored it for the time. Instead, he opened the chest and got some bombs.
"Thought so!" he said before jumping down the hole.
When he landed, he heard a roar! He spun around and was face to face with a gigantic dinosaur. Link’s mouth dropped open as he stared in shock.
"W- what IS that thing?" he yelled. Rekhyt was under Link’s hat.
He poked his head out, "It’s called King Dodongo!" he said before disappearing into Link’s hat again.
The dinosaur all of a sudden turned into a ball and started to roll towards Link. Thinking fast, Link ducked and prayed that he wouldn’t be squished. As a matter of fact... it rolled right over him. Link stood up and turned at the same time as the ‘King’ did. The dodongo inhaled and Link threw a bomb into its open mouth. He fell down stunned. Link ran up to the ‘King’ and began hacking away at it. He repeated this process a couple of times until he was defeated.
King Dodongo was too weak to fight. It tried to roll into Link one more time. Instead he rolled right into the lava and was instantly destroyed.(You’d think that since he lived in a volcano he wouldn’t mind rolling into lava) Link heaved a sigh of relief and grabbed the Heart Container and stepped into the blue light. Like last time he felt refreshed.
He appeared in front of the cavern. He looked around surprised. Just then he remembered that Rekhyt was still under his hat.
"You can come out now ya’ stupid fairy!" he said.
Rekhyt poked his head out and then flew out of his hat.
Just then he heard a thump, he jumped and looked behind him. The big Goron was there.
"I didn’t think you’d make it out! Sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier. My name is Darunia! Here take this..." He handed Link the Goron’s Ruby. "Oh and by the way... you are now my sworn brother weather you like it or not! Everybody, let’s give him a big ‘Goron Hug!’"
Two more Gorons came down. Link ran away screaming.
He heard Darunia yell something at him, "You should visit the Great Fairy that lives on top of Death Mountain if you want to get stronger!"
Link didn’t stop running! Even Rekhyt was having trouble keeping up with him!

The Great Fairy by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Ah-ha! Here is where we meet the Great Fairy!! Enjoy!
~Chikita~
When Rekhyt caught up to Link, he thought that his wings were going to fall off. Link was sitting down, back against the wall. His face was flushed from the heat. He was also panting.
"Hey Link?" asked the nosey fairy; Link looked up still panting.
"Yeah? What?"
"Why did you run away from the Goron's? All they wanted to do was give you a hug." Rekhyt already knew. He just wanted to mess with Link.
Link looked at his stupid fairy in amazement, "Oh come on Rekhyt!" he said, struggling to get up and failing miserably. "They would've crushed me. They're like what? Twice my size?" he paused, then said, "I knew you were an idiot, but come on!"
Rekhyt looked at Link. He didn't look too bad but then again he didn't look to good either. The wound he had received from the 'Ninja Lizard' thingies was still visible through his torn tunic. He had some cuts and bruises from his encounter with the Baby Dodongoes. Yet he hadn't gotten anything from 'King Dodongo'.
'I hate ta' say it,' the fairy thought, 'but he ought to take a break... although he is so stubborn that he probably won't listen anyway...' he sighed inaudibly and flew over to Link. "Did you hear what Darunia said back there?" he asked. He doubted it but...
"No... no I didn't... did you?" he looked up at his fairy.
'Ah-ha!' thought Rekhyt mischievously' I just got an idea...' "Maybe, maybe not. Maybe I'll tell you... maybe I won't!" he looked at Link. It was working! The boy was becoming very, very frustrated!
"ARRRRGH! TELL ME YA' STUPID FAIRY!" he yelled standing up and wincing.
"Ah, ah, ah!" Rekhyt said tauntingly, "Temper, temper. Why not say 'please'?"
'Who are ya'? My mother?' thought Link. "Fine." he stated, "Have it your way...please...please will you tell me what Darunia said?" Link couldn't believe it! His fairy was like giving him a lesson in manners! He just couldn't believe it!
Rekhyt laughed triumphantly, and instantly flew out of Link's reach. "Ha ha! Thank you Link! I guess I will tell you... he... said...'If you want more strength, then climb to the top of Death Mountain. There you will find a 'Great Fairy'..." the idiotic fairy stopped, "That's all I heard cause' you were running to fast."
Link looked up. A volcano. He was going to climb a volcano. If he didn’t go, Rekhyt would probably nag him for five hours. The boy sighed and stood using the wall for support. He looked in the direction of the mountaintop. Three boulders were blocking his path. He brought his bomb bag and looked at it in disgust.
"Why," said Rekhyt, noticing the way he was looking at the bag, "do you think that that bag is gross?"
"Because, It’s made from a dodongo’s stomach! That’s why."
"Oh."
Link was shocked. No snappy retort? That’s odd. He dropped the subject and made his way over to the rocks blocking his path. He climbed up onto the ledge and placed a bomb. He ran back not wanting to be caught in the explosion. The bomb blew the rock up and some money was left in its place. Twenty rupees to be exact. Link collected the money and blew another rock up. When the smoke cleared he looked for some money but found none. He sighed and tried to blow the last boulder up but it was harder to get to. He had to try four times. The first one blew up in his face. The second and third ones missed completely and almost hit Rekhyt! He hid under Link’s hat after that! On the fifth try, he got it right on target. The rock exploded into tiny pieces. Twenty rupees were left behind. He ran and jumped. He just barely made it.
He was now at the base of the path leading to the volcano.
‘This just looks waaaay to easy.’ The boy thought. Rekhyt was still inside of Link’s hat. ‘At least he’s quiet now.’ He thought.
Using all of his courage… he ran forward hoping nothing would happen. He was wrong. He had taken just about thirty steps when it happened. Rocks. Rocks came from above. Did he protect himself? No. Not very much anyway. He just ran to get it over with.
"OWW! OUCH! OWW!" he yelled. He was now near the end and could see a wall with vines on it. Also…. He could see spiders. He finally reached the end and heaved a sigh of relief but then groaned when he remembered the spiders on the wall.
‘Well,’ he thought, ‘at least I have a Slingshot…’ he trailed off in his thoughts.
He pulled out his Slingshot and took careful aim and shot just one spider. The other one was to far away. He climbed up the vines and when he was high enough, dropped down onto the ledge. A wolf howled in the distance and darkness fell. Link looked up and saw two more spiders. He sighed and shot them.
He was halfway to the top when he heard a high-pitched voice, "Hmmm….. where are we? What time is it? And… what’s for breakfast?" Rekhyt said, voice high, but heavy from sleep.
Link got an idea. "First question," he said, "we are on Death Mountain. Two, it’s uhhh, (no idea) five o’ clock. And three, breakfast is…" he paused dramatically, "dirt." He looked at his fairy. He had fallen asleep again.
When he reached the top the first thing he noticed was the owl. ‘Oh great!’ thought Link sarcastically.
"Hellllllooooo Link! Hoot hoot hoo! If you’re here to seeeee the Great Fairy—"
Link cut him off. "I know! I know! It’s obvious. All I have to do is blow a hole in the wall. No sweat! Oh and, uh, when I’m done in there…. Will you please give me a ride down?" he begged sweetly.
"Fiiiiinnnne." Said the owl. (I can’t seem to remember his name. If anyone does.. please tell me)
Link moved over to the rupee shaped boulder that was covering the wall and placed a bomb. The boulder shattered into a million tiny pieces. Link walked inside.
When he was inside his mouth dropped open. Rekhyt poked his head out.
"Oh look we’re in a Fairy Fountain… A FAIRY FOUNTAIN? Good job Link! I didn’t doubt ya’ for a second!" Rekhyt yelled at him.
"Okay, okay now will you please shut up? I need ta’ think." He moved forward and saw a big pool of water and some steps. A design the top step. It was shaped like the Triforce. Link moved forward and looked down. There was an inscription on the Triforce. It read: Play the song of the Royal Family.
" ‘Play the song of the Royal Family’? Wha—ohhh now I remember. In the Graveyard, it said the same thing. So all I have to do is play Zelda’s Lullaby!"
Link pulled out his ocarina and began to play. When he finished… he heard a crazed laugh.
"HA, HA, HA, HA, HA, HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" Link jumped back in surprise as a person, women came up from out of the water. Once again Link’s mouth dropped open….. as did Rekhyt’s. The women floated in mid-air and looked at them. All she had on were vines. Talk about weird. "Ahhh, so you are the young boy who played the song of the Royal Family. I am a Great Fairy. I can teach you a sword technique. Receive it now!" she spread her arms out and a swirling light came down and circled Link. He felt refreshed. He wasn’t tired anymore! "This ability will allow you to send out magic from your blade! It consumes magic so be careful! When battle has made you weary… come and visit me. Oh and I have a sister who lives near the castle. Go and see her… I’m sure she’ll give you even more powers!" with that, the Great Fairy disappeared back into the pool of water. Link ran out of the cave.
When he exited the cave, the sunlight made him squint. He looked to his left and saw that the owl was still there. He moved towards him. The owl saw that he was done and taking Link by surprise grabbed him in his talons and swooped down towards the village.
When the owl dropped him down, he saw he was on a roof. He was above the chicken lady’s house. He saw a ledge and jumped down onto it and entered the house. He was in a cage like thing with a piece of hart and a cow. He ran and got the piece of heart and went out.
He jumped down and landed next to the ‘chicken lady’ as Link now likes to call her. He made his way to the exit but was stopped by Rekhyt. He was telling him where to go next.
"I think you should go to Zora’s Domain." He said.
"No." Link replied flatly, "I’m going to Lon Lon Ranch."
He ran out of Ka Ka Village with Rekhyt yelling after him.

Epona's Song by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Here is where we get Epona's Song! My favorite is Saria's Song, though. ^.^ Enjoy!
~Chikita~
Link ran out of Kaka Village hands over his ears. Rekhyt was yelling constantly.
“STOP! WE HAVE TA’ GO TO ZORA’S DOMAIN!”
Link did his best to ignore her. He just continued on his way towards Lon Lon Ranch. It was pretty far and night was falling.
“Darn.” He said, looking up at the sky. He ran faster. It felt like his legs were going to fall off. A wolf howled in the distance and night came. Darkness surrounded Link and Rekhyt as they made their way towards the ranch.
“Hey Link?” asked Rekhyt, he had given up on trying to make Link go to Zora’s Domain, “Where are the Stallchilds?”
Link stopped and looked around. He was puzzled. The last time he was out here and it was night, a couple of Stallchilds came up and tried to make mincemeat out of him.
“Yeah… where are they? That’s odd…” he trailed off. He was close to the entrance to the ranch now. The trail he was on stopped abruptly and two Stallchilds came out and moved towards him. Link just stood there, shocked.
“Link watch out!” yelled Rekhyt as one of the creatures took a swipe at him. Link quickly ducked and ran for the entrance of the ranch.
When he entered the ranch, he lay down on the grass and tried to get his breath back. He was sweating. As he lay there catching his breath, Rekhyt flew over his head and was jabbering endlessly. Finally, Link snatched him up and shoved him into his hat and stood up. He moved forward into the ranch. It was a nice place and he liked it. On his left was a house and on his right was what he thought was a stable. He tried the door on his left.
He knocked twice and a voice rang out, “Malon’s sleepin’ now. Come back t’marrow!”
‘Ooooo-kay.’ Thought Link as he tried the door on his right.
Link was correct this was a stable. It was full of horses and two cows. Link sighed for no reason and exited.
“Now I have ta’ wait ‘till morning… or do I? Hmmm! Ah-ha!” Link pulled out his ocarina and played the song he had learned yesterday: The Sun’s Song. Instantly, it was light out and Link found himself entering Lon Lon Ranch a second time. “Coool!” he said aloud to himself. He made his way to the middle of the ranch and saw Malon! She was singing and a horse was right next to her. The horse looked like a pony. Link ran over to her.
“Hey Fairy Boy!” she said in a high voice.
“Umm, I think I told you before… my names Link.” He didn’t like being called ‘Fairy Boy’.
“Okay! Hi Link! Thank you for finding my father and making him come back! He is just so lazy. He was really funny though when he came home! Tee hee!”
For no reason, Link brought out his ocarina and put it to his lips.
“Oh you have an ocarina?” she asked getting excited. Link nodded. “Cool! Well want ta’ learn this song that my mom taught me before she… ummm…” she trailed off.
“Sure. I’ll learn it!” he said quickly. He for some reason knew what she was going to say.
“Okay!” she said happily. Malon began to sing. Link copied the notes even though it took him about four or five tries to get it right. He looked at the instrument with amazement. The next thing he knew Epona was trotting over to him. “Hee, hee! I think she likes you… Fairy Boy!”
“Please – oh never mind…” the boy sighed. “Epona will you stop that?” Epona was still basically running into him. “AGGGHHH!” Link ran out of the fenced area until he was next to the two houses. He entered the one on the left. This time it was open.
When Link entered the room he saw Talon sleeping. He moved over to the pudgy man and woke him with a start.
“Huh? What in tarnation? Oh it’s you. The boy from the other day. Well thanks for wakin’ me then… Malon was kinda’ ticked off by the time I came home…” Link just stood there, not taking in a word of what Talon was telling him. “Sooo,” he said casually, “ how would you like ta’ marry Malon?” Link snapped to attention.
“Wh-what?”
“HAHAHAHAHAAA! I was just kidding! Ah I think you’re a bit young for that!”
“A bit?” said Link now wary of Talon. ‘Sheesh! What is up with this guy?’ he wondered. “I uh think I should go now…” Link said rushing out the door.
When he was out of the house, he made up his mind to take his chances and ask Rekhyt if Zora’s Domain was really where the last Spiritual Stone was. He pulled his fairy out of his hat.
“Finally.” He said.
“Rekhyt I need ta’ ask ya’ somethin’… is the last Spiritual Stone really in Zora’s Domain? And if so… how do you know?” he asked his fairy, hoping that he wouldn’t get a snappy and stupid retort. He didn’t.
“Yes I’m positive. And I know because the Great Deku Tree told me so. So there! Pthththt!” he stuck his tongue out.
“Thanks.” Link replied, snatching and throwing his obnoxious fairy back into the hat.
When he was out of Lon Lon Ranch, he made his way towards Zora’s Domain. He crossed the stream and shook his head dry. Rekhyt was from then on very angry and refused to get back in the hat. Link laughed to himself and went on his way. He came to a sign that said: Left: Zora’s River, Farther left: Zora’s Fountain, Farther, farther left: Zora’s Domain
“Okay.” Said Link flatly. He followed the sign’s directions and went in to Zora’s River.
When he entered Zora’s River, what he saw displeased him: 1) there was three boulders. 2) The stupid owl was there waiting for him. Link swore under his breath and decided to get it over with. He moved forward and threw three bombs half hoping one would hit the owl and he’d leave. No such luck.
“Hoooot! Weeeellll hellloo Liiiiink! Fancy meeeeting youuuu hereeee!”
“Tch,” Link scoffed, “tcha right, you knew I’d be here.”
“Ha ha hooot! Yup you’re right! I did know. Hehehe!”
“Why do you follow me?” the boy asked.
“Becaaaause, I want toooooo annnnoyyyy yooouuu!”
“Well mission accomplished! Now please leave!”
“Okaaaayyy!” and with that the owl took off.
Link looked ahead of him. The three rocks that were there were gone. He smiled and carried on. He jumped over the river. When he landed he saw something come out of the river. Link just ignored it. Instead he ran for his life and went right on by it! He jumped over another gap and went up something that was kind of like a hill. He ran to the end and jumped down. Link ran along a bank of some sort and climbed up the wall. He swam across and ran up a really steep hill and across a bridge. In front of him was a HUGE waterfall. He carefully navigated his way through and stopped in front of the waterfall.
“Hey genius!” said Rekhyt in his usual annoying voice, “look down.”
Link looked down. A small stone slab was beneath him. It read: In order to calm the rushing water, play the song of the Royal Family
Link pulled out his ocarina and played Zelda’s Lullaby. The waterfall stopped and Link and Rekhyt saw a whole… Link jumped! He just made it! He went inside.

Zora's Domain by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
I love the Zora's Domain. ^.^ Except for when it gets frozen over. That sucks. ^.^ Well, enjoy!
~Chikita~
When Link entered the domain his eyes widened.
"Woah!" he said looking around, "This place is HUGE!" the boy looked to his right and saw a path. He moved down it. He came to a fork, "Uh, 'kay. Fork in the road--"
Rekhyt cut him off, "A fork? Where? Where?"
Link had had enough. Before Rekhyt could move, Link grabbed him and threw him into the water! Thinking quickly, just in case Rekhyt came back up fast. He chose the path on the right. He was so busy looking behind him, he didn't notice what looked like a blue man. Link ran head first into him.
"Hey!" he said, making Link look up, "Watch where yer goin' kid."
"Oh! Sorr- whoa!"
Link looked at the 'man'. He was blue, and had... fins? Link was just about to be polite and ask, 'Who are you?' but curiosity took over and he instead asked, "What are you?" The 'man' scowled.
"I," he hissed, "am a Zora. What do you think I am? A Goron?"
"Uh... nooo. I'm s-hey!" he yelled as he felt his idiotic fairy pull on his hair.
He stopped pulling when he saw the Zora. "What exactly are you supposed to be? An alien?"
Link groaned inwardly. 'Ohhh... great!'
The Zora looked like he was going to kill Rekhyt. Instead, he smacked Rekhyt... hard. He went flying back into the water.
"Do you know that little ball of fluff?" the Zora asked.
"Sadly... yes." the boy paused, "could you please kill him?"
The answer was instant, "No!"
"Dang it." Link whispered under his breath.
Rekhyt appeared. His wings were so wet he had trouble flying. He looked like a fool. The fairy stuck his tongue out at the Zora and quickly flew under Link's hat. The blonde snickered.
'Finally! Maybe he'll shut up for awhile!'
"Why did you come here, boy?"
Link looked at him and answered with, "I'm here for the Spiritual Stone of Water. Do you know where it is?"
The Zora looked at him questioningly, "Yes," he hesitated, "the King Zora does... but in order to talk to him, you must pass the Diving Game and get a scale of our kind."
Link looked confused, "Uh, where is the Diving Game? Could you tell me, sir?"
"Yes! I'll lead you there... and call me, Koroku. Follow me."
Koroku led Link back towards the fork. He turned right and headed up a flight of stairs. When they reached the top, Link saw a really, really, REALLY FAT Zora. He was sitting on what looked like a mini-waterfall. Koroku led him to the left and down a corridor. When they reached the end, Link saw another Zora. He was standing close to a waterfall. Koroku led Link over to the other Zora.
"Pay me twenty rupees and I'll let you play. So you want ta' give it a shot?" Link nodded and pulled out the money. He handed it to the Zora. He took the money and told Link the rules, "You have one minute to collect the money I throw out. You get all the money, you get your money back. You also get a Silver Scale of our kind."
"Okay. I'll do it."
The Zora threw out four blue rupees. Link jumped off the waterfall. Koroku and the other Zora watched. While Link was collecting the money, the two Zoras were talking to each other.
"So tell me... why is that boy here?"
"He's looking for the Zoras Sapphire... Uh-oh! Here he comes. Whoa! He got every last one!"
Both Zoras looked at the boy. He was soaked and was panting.
"Well... uh.. I guess you get the Silver Scale. Here."
Link took it. "Hey, Koroku?" Koroku looked at him, "Want to dive off with me?"
'Well.' he thought, 'I don't have anything better to do...' "Sure!"
Link beamed. They both jumped off. Koroku came up first. Link then came up, gasping, "I-I saw some-- something down-- down there. I-I'm gonna check it out. Kay?" Koroku just nodded. Link flashed him a smile before going back under. What he had seen was a hole. He went through.
When he came up, he saw he was in a lake. Another Zora came up. Link just ignored him. All of a suddon, a red puff-ball shot out of Link's hat. Rekhyt flew over to what looked like a bottle.
"Hey! Over here, idiot! Take a look at this!" Link swam over to him and shoved him back in his hat. He dived and when he came up, he was holding a bottle.
"Oh, real nice." he muttered sarcastically. He swam back over to the hole and went through.
When he came back up, he was in Zora's Domain. Koroku was floating on his back. Link quietly swam past him and made his way to the King. For why he had no idea. He looked at the bottle again and realized that there was a note inside. It read: I'm going to go inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly. I'm looking for my precious stone. Don't follow me. DON'T TELL MY FATHER! Princess Ruto
Link snickered and ran to the king.
'Man is he fat!' he thought.
"Whaaat dooo youuu waaannt?" he drawled in a low, slow voice.
"I need to see Lord Jabu-Jabu. Your daughter is in there. Here. Proof." He read the letter to the king.
"Ohhh. Ooookaaay. You maaay passs." He moved to the side. It took forever. The noise he was making sounded like squish, squish. When he finally stopped, Link sighed in relief. He ran up the path and went by King Zora.
'I wonder who 'Jabu-Jabu' is...' he trailed off in his thoughts as he ran down the corridor.
What he saw shocked him.

Ocarina of Time by Moon_Flower_Chikita
Author's Notes:
Here we go! Wow, it didn't take me very long to get here did it? ^.^ Yay! Enjoy!
~Chikita~
“A FISH?” Link yelled, he was angry. “The princess went inside of a fish? That’s disgusting. Am I being paid to do this?” Link looked at Rekhyt who was smirking. “You knew about this… didn’t you?”
Rekhyt just flew away and yelled back, “No!” Link shot a death glare at his fairy, “Uh. Yeah!”
“AGH! Just great! Damn! Damn, damn, damn, DAMN!” Link stomped his feet in a rage.
Rekhyt just stared, ‘Whoa… that’s new. He usually NEVER swears!’
‘Okay,’ Link told himself, ‘calm down. Just relax.’
Link looked around and over to his right, saw an awkward looking wall. He rushed over. “Hey Link! Where are you going?”
Link just ignored him and moved over to the wall. He pulled out a bomb and threw it at the wall. BOOM! The wall exploded and a hole was revealed. He took a quick peek inside and he instantly knew what it was.
He got a really mean idea, “Hey Rekhyyyyyt?” Rekhyt looked at him. “Do you think that the Great Fairies are cute? Well do ya’?” Link smiled innocently. ‘This is gonna be good!’ thought the boy.
“Uh. Uh well I… yesssss?” he instantly regretted telling this to Link. ‘Man I am such a fool!’
“Well you’re in luck! I found one!” he grabbed Rekhyt ant moved back over to the hole. They entered.
The Fairy Fountain looked just like the last one. Rekhyt was already at the pool of water (Link had let him go) waiting for the fairy to come out. Link knew he had to play the ocarina in order to bring the fairy out. He just wanted to see how long it took Rekhyt to crack. He cracked quickly!
“AHHH! Why won’t she come out? LINK! Make her come out!”
“Okay!” he had had his fun so no snappy retort this time. He pulled out his ocarina and played Zelda’s Lullaby.
“Wahahahahaha!” came a wailing laugh. Following the cry came a fairy. “Heh heh! Welcome Link! I was wondering when you’d play the song of the Royal Family.”
“Heh sorry! I was teasing my fairy partner!”
The Great Fairy looked at him, head tilted to one side, “Whatever! Well, where are my manners? My name is, Kyake!” Link looked at her confused, “Oh. My sister hasn’t told you her name… did she?” Link shook his head, “Well her name is, Kristal. Well I must do my duty…” she held out her hands and a green light encircled Link. “This is a magic spell called Farores Wind. You must now leave. Oh and about the fish… smack it with your sword until it’s mouth opens!”
“Really? Cool! I can do that! Well goodbye!” Link turned to leave but had to grab Rekhyt and stuff him in his hat. They left.
When they were out of the Fairy Fountain, Link moved over towards the giant fish. He drew his sword.
“This’ll be fun!” he struck the fish ten times! Jabu-Jabu opened his mouth and inhaled. “OH BOY! Darn it!” with that, Link was sucked inside.
When Link opened his eyes… he almost retched. “Oh man! Ugh I think I’m gonna hurl!” he clutched his stomach but didn’t blow chunks.
Rekhyt flew out of his hat, “Awww! Is the little baby Link gonna be sick?”
“If you don’t shuddap I’ll throw up on you!” the boy snarled. Rekhyt shut up and stayed out of Link’s hat.
Link drew his sword and shield and moved cautiously forward. Two seahorse like things jumped up and shot rocks at him. The boy thought quickly. He put his shield up and blocked the rocks. They bounced back and hit the monsters that Rekhyt called Octorocks. Link looked ahead and saw a bubble. He didn’t take any chances; he grabbed Rekhyt and threw him at the bubble. Rekhyt was thrown back and the bubble was destroyed. Link cheered. He got out his Slingshot and looked up. He shot this white thing and a door opened. Link went through.
A jellyfish was in the next room. Link struck it but it just shocked him. Without knowing what he was doing, pulled out a Deku Stick and struck it. It was destroyed. Link moved on in a rush and opened the door on the other side.
When he entered he saw three pathways, a lot of jellyfish, and…
“Princess Ruto?”
She turned and looked at him, “What? Who are you? Why are you here?” she looked at him and crossed her arms.
Link sighed, “Heh, in order! 1) I am Link. 2) I am here to save you!” here he pulled a dramatic pose.
“Uh like whatever!”
Link wasn’t in a great mood so he stalked over to her and said in a hushed voice, “Listen and listen good! I’m here for the Spiritual Stone of Water! But in order to get that… I have to save you.” She looked shocked.
“Fine I’ll listen!”
Link then turned to deal with the enemies. He pulled out a Deku Stick. “Eat this you scum bags! Die! HAHAHAHA!” when he had killed every one of the monsters he was panting. Rekhyt and Ruto just looked at each other.
Link chose one of the paths and went in. Rekhyt was to guard the princess.
Inside, Link groaned. Those bubble things again. Link didn’t have time for this… he just ran right into them.
“Ow! Ouch! Owww!”
When he was done, a chest appeared and Link opened it.
“Suh-weet! A Boomerang!”
The door behind him opened and Link went through.
He ignored the two bickering fools and went through the center door. Inside he saw something like a tentacle. Link groaned and began the fight.
Outside the room, Ruto and Rekhyt were becoming fast friends.
“C’mon,” whined Ruto, “let’s just go!”
“As much as I would like to… I can’t leave without him.”
“But if he’s fighting this great beast like thing and he loses… it will come after us!”
“Uhhh, time to go!”
Just then at that moment, Link came out of the room. He had a cut on his cheek but other than that, he was fine.
“Ugh! I hate this place!” he turned to the last door and looked at the two in front of him. “You two are coming with me!” the two looked at Link and nodded. He went into the last room.
This room had new enemies called Stingers. Link had to practically wring the way to kill them out of Rekhyt. Link shot each one twice with his Slingshot. They were destroyed. Everyone looked around incase there was something new.
“Hey Link over there!” Link looked to where Ruto was pointing.
There was a new doorway. The trio walked through. In this room, Link nearly had a fit. About twenty enemies in this room and a HUGE door was beyond them. Link groaned and charged forward. He swung his sword blindly and in about ten minutes and ten electrocutions, he was done.
“Well-“ he panted, “-that was fun! Onwards my good friends!” he staggered forward, sword held aloft.
‘Okay,’ thought Rekhyt, ‘his brain must have been damaged! Me a ‘good friend’? Creepy!’
They moved towards the doorway. The trio went through.
Ruto, being the all-important princess that she is… moved ahead of the group. Just then, she screamed and two long tentacles reached down and grabbed her. They pulled her up and out of sight.
“Just one problem after the other. Sheesh!” Link sighed.
Link, with sword and shield drawn, moved forward and the ‘thing’ that grabbed Ruto came back down. Link once again almost retched.
“R-Rekhyt? Wh-what is that?” Link’s voice was shaking.
“B-Barinade! You figure out how to beat it. Good-bye!” he hid in Link’s hat.
“Oh great!”
So Link experimented… first he used his Boomerang and destroyed all of the jellyfish around Barinade. The creature became more and more furious. As did Link. When all of the jellyfish were destroyed Barinade spun around and came after Link. It rammed into him and he was thrown back. He got up and spit out the blood that was in his mouth. Although it left a horrible taste. He charged and threw his Boomerang; Barinade fell down, stunned. Link ran forwards and slashed with all of his might! It fell, defeated. Rekhyt flew out of his hat.
“Whew! We really showed him!” Link just flicked him away.
Once again, a blue portal opened up and Ruto was inside. It looked like she was their forever. He moved towards her. How else would he get out?
“Do you know how long you’ve kept me waiting?” she asked as Link approached.
“No,” he panted, still worn out, “don’t know. Don’t care! Let’s just get out of here.”
As if the light understood, they were teleported out of the fish.
The arrived on a log in the fountain. Ruto was right in front of Link. Startled, he stepped back only to find out there was no more room. He fell butt first into the water. Ruto giggled and jumped in after him.
When he surfaced, she asked him a question, “That was cool! I like you! So I’ll give you this… do you want it?” she held out the Spiritual Stone of Water. Link took it with gratitude. “Oh and by the way…” Link looked at her thinking she wasn’t so bad, “the Zora’s Sapphire is also known as the Zora’s Engagement Ring!”
“Excuse me? I’m out of here! Good-bye!” he took off and Ruto just followed.
When he was back in the domain, he felt relived that he was safe. Koroku was waiting for him.
“Uh,” he said, “follow me. Something really bad is about to happen. Just trust me.”
Link trusted him. Koroku led him away from the king and right before they were out of earshot, Link heard something, “RUTO! YOU KNOW YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE OF LORD JABE-JABU…………” Link didn’t hear the rest.
“I enjoyed meeting you, Koroku, but I have to leave you now! I’ll be back soon!”
He waved good-bye to his new friend and left the domain.
When he was out of the domain, the words of the first Great Fairy came back to him. ‘Go to Hyrule Castle. There you will find one of my sisters! She will help you further.’ “Well I need to head back to the castle anyway!”
He moved down the path and back to the castle. He looked up. The sky was an odd color but he paid it no mind. He jumped the bridge and ran into the Market.
Past the Market he ran and into the Castle Grounds. When he came up to the guard… he formulated a plan. He pulled out ten rupees, hoping it would be enough.
“Um excuse me sir if I give you some money, will you let me pass?”
The guard pondered this and nodded. Link gave him the money and he opened the gate. “Be quick!” Link nodded and ran quietly.
He saw a boulder and he instantly knew that there was a Great Fairy in there.
“Hey, Rekhyt!” once again, Rekhyt turned to him and Link continued, “I found another Great Fairy so you can try and win her love!”
Rekhyt just turned from red to a deeper shade of red. Link smirked and pulled out a bomb. He set it down and ran back. The boulder was blasted into millions of tiny pieces. Link entered.
Once again Link played Zelda’s Lullaby. The Great Fairy came up and her name was Llyana! She too paid no attention whatsoever to Rekhyt. Instead, she gave Link a powerful new spell. Din’s Fire!
Rekhyt left with a disappointed face and Link left with a happy one! They returned to the gate to find it had been closed.
“Awww! That’s just great! Well back ta’ being sneaky!” he went into the guards place and climbed the ladder.
When he reached the top, he heard a guard yell, “Hey! Who are you? Get him!”
“Oh no! We've been caught! Run!” Link ran over the grassy area and dropped down in front of the vines.
He ran back into the Market. But what Link saw surprised him. No one was there and the skies were pitch black. The boy shrugged it off and ran out of the Market.
He was out when he heard something. Clop, clop, clop, clop! Horses! Link whipped around and jumped out of the way just in time. A white horse came galloping past.
“LINK!”
Link looked again. Princess Zelda! She was on the back of the white horse and Impa was at the reins. Zelda threw something blue back and it landed in the moat. Link was smart enough NOT to go and get whatever that was. Just then another horse, black this time, stopped next to the boy. Link instantly recognized him as Ganondorf.
“Grrr. Damn! I’ve lost them.” He noticed Link, “You,” he barked, “did you see a white horse come by just now?” Link shook his head warily; to afraid to say anything, “You think you can protect them from me? Gehehehehahahahaha! You got guts kid!” Link drew his sword, which made the insane man laugh even harder, “HA! Take this!” he shot a big ball of energy at Link. He couldn’t dodge in time. The energy threw Link back and he landed hard on his back. Ganondorf rode away, laughing.
Link stood up and walked over to the moat. He saw something blue and shiny! He dived down and retrieved it. He came up with the Ocarina of Time! As soon as he touched it… he got a vision of some sort.
Zelda was standing in front of some kind of altar, Ocarina of Time in her hands. She turned and said, “Link, if you get this message… then I’m no longer around. You must go to the Temple of Time and play the Song of Time in front of the altar after you place the Spiritual Stones. She played the Song of Time on the ocarina. When she was done, Link was there and he was playing the ocarina. The Song of Time was from then on embedded in his memory.
Link looked around; he was standing on the drawbridge.
“Okay! That was odd! Well on we go to the Temple of uhhhh. On to the Temple!”
He turned and ran back into the Market. He looked at the sky… it was now clear and the people were back! He made his way to the Temple.
“Hang on! How do you know that is the Temple of Time?” asked his stupid fairy.
Link sighed, “’Cause it’s the only thing that looks like a temple. DUH!”
“Oh!”
Link shook his head and went to the Temple.
When he was in the Temple Grounds he thought it looked creepy.
“Ugh! G-gravestones!”
Link went into the temple and he looked around in amazement. It was pure white and had the exact same altar that was in that odd dream he had. He moved forward and placed the three Spiritual Stones on the altar. Kokiri Emerald, Goron Ruby, and Zora Sapphire. A HUGE marble door opened and Link saw a pedestal with a really cool looking sword. Rekhyt flew over to the blade.
“Is that? Is that the legendary blade? The Master Sword!” Rekhyt flew back to Link after the boy threatened to squish him.
Link moved carefully towards the blade and just looked at it. Finally after about five minutes of Rekhyt yelling at him to pick the blade up, he picked it up. Everything went white. Link heard a voice, “Heh! Thank you for unlocking this seal! I knew there was something about you! GEHEHEHEHE! GAHAHAHAHAHA!” the voice faded. Then everything went black.
End Notes:
Finally! Now buh-bye little Link and hello big Link!! Oh, and I just want to point out that if you think of Sheik as Zelda, and don't like stories in which Sheik is a male, leave. In all my stories, Sheik is a male. ^.^

The white light disappeared just to be replaced by black.
"Link?" a voice called. Luckily for him... it wasn't Rekhyts'! He ignored it anyway. "Link!" the voice was no longer calm, it was impatient.
Link was awake. He just didn't want to respond.
He heard another voice and to his dismay... it was Rekhyt's!
"Let me try!" the blonde gulped quietly and the fairy continued. "Link, I know you can hear me. Wake up or this'll get nasty!" He flew over to Link and bonked him on the head. Link let out a small yelp. "Good! Now for the finishing touch! I'm bored! I'm bored! I'm bored! I'm bored! I'm bor-"
He was cut off by Link, who jumped up and grabbed the red puffball.
"Shut up! Whoa!" Link looked around in amazement.
He was no longer in the Temple of Time.
"Where in Hyrule are we? And who are you? AND WHAT HAPPENED TO MY VOICE!"
He had finally figured it out... His voice was deeper.
Rekhyt just sighed and said, "If you think that's creepy, look at yourself."
Link obeyed and his eyes widened in shock, on his hands were red hand guards that went all the way to his elbow. The heavy weight that was on his back before was gone. He looked ahead of him and saw a fat man. The odd thing about him was, he didn't have any arms.
The man spoke. "Well finally you woke up! I've been trying to wake you forever!"
"Uh-huh! Okay, who are you?"
The fat man's smile turned to a frown. "My name is, Rauru (sp?), Sage of Light." He looked at Link who was gazing around. Rauru sighed and said, "We are in the Realm of the Sages!"
"The Realm of Pages?" Link asked stupidly.
"This'll take awhile." Rauru mumbled.
Link was still staring around like a fool. He had also discovered that he had a silver earring. Just one. Rekhyt, for some reason, thought that very amusing.
"Okay," the man stated. "I guess I should tell you why you're here?"
Link just nodded. Rauru continued.
"Well, you were destined to become the Hero of Time. That is why the Great Deku Tree gave you the Spiritual Stone."
"They have three names each, right?" questioned the now fully-grown Link.
"Why? What does that have to do with what I'm telling you?" the armless man asked.
"Uhhh... nothing? But I do have a question that has to do with this."
Rauru just nodded. "Go on!"
Link gave a small salute and continued. "How the heck did I get this old?"
The Sage of Light sighed. 'Why did it have to be this kid? He's a complete idiot! I'm gonna die before he even leaves here.' Rauru sighed again and began the explanation. "You got to be how old you are now because you were to young to be the Hero of Time."
Link looked down.
"HA!" yelled Rekhyt triumphantly. "I told you you were to young!"
"Just shut up, Rekhyt!"
"May I continue?" Blonde and fairy nodded. "Yes, you were to young. But now you are fifteen. Also, when you pulled out the Master Sword--don't even start to talk!" he warned. Link had opened his mouth to speak. But he shut it again. "Like I was saying. When you pulled out the Master Sword, you broke the final seal that allowed Ganondorf to enter this Sacred Realm." the Sage looked down sadly. "He captured the other five Sages. I was able to return when you drew the sword."
"Sooooo all I have to do is find the other five Sages?" Link asked.
Rekhyt wasn't paying any attention at all. He was looking around the realm. Around the room, he saw small raised platforms. Just like the one Rauru was standing on.
'Huh,' he thought. 'That’s odd, the other five have different colors. A green, red, blue, purple, and a gold one too. Odd. Hmmm.'
"Well, that'll be easy enough!" Link stated.
"Well, should I send you off?"
Link nodded. Rauru raised his... sleeves and a blue light encircled Link.
When Link opened his eyes he was back in the Temple of Time.
"What the heck just happened?" he yelled. He looked at himself just to make sure it wasn't a dream.
It wasn't. He was still full-grown. He still had his right ear pierced.
'What did I do? Get a hoop of metal stuck in my ear? When could I have done that?' he asked himself.
"Would you shut up? If anyone else was in here-"
Rekhyt was cut off by Link who said over him. "But we ARE the only ones in here, you annoying little puff-ball!" he said in a singsong voice.
Unbeknownst to Link and Rekhyt, they were NOT alone. At Link's yell, the figure clapped his hands over his ears in an attempt to drown out the noise.
'Ugh,' he mused. 'Zelda had better pay me double! Huh? He's leaving? Guess I should show myself.'
The man stepped out of the shadows and walked quietly to where the Master Sword used to be. Link apparently, didn't notice. He was moving towards the exit.
The man cleared his throat. "Ahem."
Link spun around and drew his blade. Rekhyt buzzed around.
'Well he doesn't look like a total idiot!' the young man thought, arms still crossed.
What the man did NOT know was that what Link was about to say would change his mind.
"AHHH! Are you a man or a woman?" he yelled, pointing a finger at the man.
How could he tell? The man was blonde, had dark red eyes; and was wearing a very awkward outfit. It was blue; it looked like a onepiece. But it wasn't. On the chest was a design not unlike a magnifying glass. The only difference was it had something like an eye with eyelashes, which were also red. He was wearing a mask so Link couldn't see his face. Just some blonde bangs and one dark red eye.
'Ugh! I stand corrected. He's an idiot!' The man clapped one of his hands over his one visible eye.
The man removed his hand and said in a quiet voice, "I'm a man."
"Really? You don't look like one."
Rekhyt just hung there. Then all of a sudden, a thought hit him. "Wait!" he called. "Aren't you one of the Sheikah?"
Link blinked and turned to stare at the fairy. The man looked at the fairy as well.
Rekhyt continued. "The Sheikah tribe are some of the--"
"Wait! What are 'Sheikah'?"
"Well if you'd shut up I would tell you!" snapped Rekhyt. "The Sheikah are a nearly extinct race. They are kinda like guards of the Royal Family. They are not, however of royal blood." Rekhyt sighed. "Okay, you may talk. But say anything stupid and you'll regret it!"
Link nodded and asked his question. "Well...do I know any of the Royal Family?"
"Uh, duh. Princess Zelda! Jeez you are such an idiot!" His fairy snapped zooming around.
"Oh yeah! Now I remember! Now back to the issue at hand." Link turned to the man and said, "I have some questions for you." The man nodded slowly. The blonde nodded as well and went on. "First question, what's your name?"
"Sheik." Sheik replied.
"Okay, Sheik. Next question. Are you SURE you're a man? You really don't-ahh!"
Sheik all of a sudden vanished.
"Ahh! He's invisible!" Link cried, triumphantly.
"You dork! I'm not invisible." a voice came from behind the Kokiri.
Link turned and saw Sheik standing behind him. The Sheikah was holding what looked like throwing needles.
"Wh-what a-are those th-things?" he whimpered.
"Uhhh, they're Senbon, dumbbell. Oh and stop asking if I’m male or female. It's just wrong. Now I'm on a mission. I have to tell you something important so listen up!" Link nodded slowly and sat down. Sheik continued. "Now as, Rauru told you, the other five Sages have been captured. It's up to you to find them. The first is a girl whom you've known for years. I can't tell you who they are...but I can tell you where they may be found. One is in a deep forest. One on a mountain top. One beneath a vast lake. One in the house of the dead. And one in a valley of sand. Those five Sages represent five different elements." Sheik took a deep breath and put a smirk on his face before continuing. "But you are so poorly equipped that you cannot even ENTER the temples. You must go to Kakariko Village and there you will find a weapon that will allow you to get inside."
"You about done?" asked Link who was still sitting on the floor of the Temple of Time.
"Almost." the Sheikah answered. Link groaned. "Just one last thing, use your ocarina and talk to someone you know. Well, I must be on my way. Good luck."
Sheik just stood there, unmoving.
"Uh, good bye?"
"Just shut up and go!"
Link nodded and scurried out of the temple. Sheik shook his head but didn't leave.
When Link was out of the temple he was shocked. The sight was horrifying. The sky was pitch black. The stones that used to be there were gone. He looked up and saw that the top of Death Mountain had a red ring of fire. Link hesitated and went down the stairs. He got down and let out a girly shriek.
"R-R-R-RE-DEADS!"
True enough, around five Re-Deads were hanging around what used to be the Market. All of the homes were destroyed.
"Link, play the Sun's Song so we can get by 'em."
"Y-yea. Okay."
Link pulled out his ocarina and began to play the Sun's Song. The Re-Deads turned white as if frozen. Link, in a panic, ran out of the now Re-Deadifyed Market.
The next thing he knew, his boots were wet. He looked down. The drawbridge was broken. Thinking it was safe he pulled out his ocarina and played his favorite song: Saria's Song. Like before when he played, he heard a voice.
"Link is that you? I can barely hear you. I heard a call from the forest. Now I can't get out. Will you help me? Please?"
The voice was pleading. Link couldn't refuse.
"Of course I'll help. I'll be there as soon as possible."
With that he broke the connection.
"Maybe we should go to the ranch and check on Malon." Link thought out loud.
"Nu-uh. C'mon. We're going to Ka Ka Village."
After saying that, he somehow was grabbed the back of his tunic and practically drug him to Ka Ka Village.
The village looked a little worse for where. The sky was black here as well. Two kids were in front of the tree near the entrance. Link caught a little of what they said.
"Dude. I'm not kidding! I saw the ghost of the old gravekeeper, Dampe!"
"Wahahahahahahahaaaaa! Ohmigosh! There's no such thing as ghosts!"
"Hey, Link? I think I know where you can get that weapon." Rekhyt remarked, "I think it's in the Graveyard. Lets-huh?"
Rekhyt looked at Link who was yelling. "I HAVE FREE SILVER! COME AAAANNNDDD GET IT!"
"Gah! Don't sell your earring! Follow me!"
Link put it his earring back in and ran to the Graveyard.

"How did we get into this mess?"
"We got into it thanks to your stupidity!"
Fairy and teen were standing in a freezing cold room. Hovering in front of the duo was a ghost.
"Riiiiight," the teen drawled. "remind me?"
Rekhyt sighed.
FLASHBACK
After literally dragging Link to the Graveyard, Rekhyt was panting.
'Why are you always soooooo stupid?'
'I dunno. I think I'm a blonde.'
'No, really? I had no bloody idea!'
The Graveyard was pitch black. Neither Dampe' or the little boy were there.
Now, there were some lanterns in front of a select few graves. Link started to
walk towards one of the closer lanterns.
'H-hey, Link what are you doing? Get back here you idiot!' Rekhyt screeched.
As Link neared the lantern, something very strange happened. The lantern rose up into the air and a ghost became visible. Link saw and stopped.
'R-Rekhyt, what is that?' Link shot at Rekhyt.
'A Poe. No need to fear them. Just hack away my good friend! Hack away!'
the fairy said calmly.
'But--but you made it sound like it was trouble,' he whined.
'Oh, get over it. Look out! It's coming right for you!'
'Oh no! I'm not falling for--OUCH!'
Link had his back to the Poe. So obviously, he didn't notice as it charged.
It swung its lantern and it smacked Link on the back. Link flew forward and landed flat on his face.
'Uh, ow. Now I'm ticked!' Link stood and drew the Master Sword.
He advanced on the Poe. The Poe laughed and charged, lantern swinging wildly.
Link raised his shield and blocked. Now it was his turn. He raised HIS weapon and stabbed the Poe in the gut. It let out a wailing cry and backed away.
'Hey! Come back here! I'm not done with you yet.'
He ran after the Poe only to run past another lantern that was sitting around. Link screamed. Rekhyt was ignoring Link and was looking around the Graveyard instead. Aside the tombstone at the back, there were some other odd looking ones as well. He was snapped out of his thoughts by Link, who was yelling: Die! at the top of his lungs.
'Link!,' Rekhyt yelled, 'I know how you can get away from the Poes! Over here! You can jump down this hole! Come on!'
Link turned away from the Poes only to be smacked upside the head with one of the lanterns.
'AGH! Come here you piece of crap!'
Rekhyt gasped. 'For shame, Link. For shame! Just get over here.'
Link obliged. He ran over to the tombstone and jumped down the hole.
ENDFLASHBACK
"You two are wasting my time. What do you want?"
Link and Rekhyt snapped their attention back to the matter at hand. The ghost was the ghost of Dampe', the old gravekeeper.
"Ahhh. Sorry!" Link said apologetically, rubbing the back of his head.
'What do I say? I'm at a loss for words.'
Rekhyt looked down at Link and sighed quietly. Since it looked like Link wasn't going to give an answer any time soon, Rekhyt told Dampe' himself why they intruded on his grave.
"You see," Rekhyt began, looking for the right words, "we didn't come out of our own free will." Dampe' looked at him and Rekhyt went on, fully aware that Dampe' AND Link were looking at him. "...Erm...yes...well. As I was saying. We didn't come here of our own free will. We were sent. By a man known as, Sheik and---"
"I KNEW It!" Dampe' cried, "You're after my Hookshot!! Well, you can't have it!!" 'On second thought. No one can beat me in a race down here! If he can beat me, I'll give it to him.' "I've changed my mind."
Rekhyt and Link looked at each other.
"Y-you have?" asked Link. Rekhyt could tell he was surprised. Heck, so was he!
"Yes. If you can beat me in a race, or at least, get to the exit in a decent amount of time anyway. If you can do that, I will give you the Hookshot. Will you do it?"
Link and Rekhyt looked at each other and nodded. Dampe' saw this movement and nodded to them. He turned and explained the rules.
"You have to follow me. Do not stray, for I will not help you. I will be making this difficult for you! Kekekekeke!"
Link and Rekhyt looked at each other again and Link gulped silently.
Dampe' turned again and raised his arms.
"BEGIN!" he shouted.
Link jumped slightly and Rekhyt snapped him out of his stupor.
"Hurry up you idiot! He's leaving you behind!"
Link nodded and took off after the ghost of Dampe'. The first sign of trouble came when Dampe' threw out fire from his lantern. Link saw it and dodged to the right just in time. He resumed the chase. Through twists and turns, Link ran after the gravekeeper. Rekhyt behind the teen. Just then, Dampe' threw out two bits of fire and Link couldn't dodge in time.
"Agh! Ow! Holy CRAP! Ahhhh! Wait up!" he cried as Dampe' turned a corner.
Link jumped up and ran after him. He ran up a long slope and he heard some kind of ticking. He panicked and ran faster. A door! He ran through and as soon as he did, it slammed shut.
Link rested his hands on his knees and panted. When he looked up, he saw Dampe' hovering over a chest. The blonde could only assume what was inside. He stood up and walked over the wooden object and bent down to open it when he eard Rekhyt cry out a warning!
"AHH! DON'T OPEN IT!! IT'S A TRICK! IT WAS ALL A LIE! IF YOU OPEN IT..." Rekhyt paused, thinking up what was inside, "A-A RE-DEAD WILL COME OUT!"
He had hoped that Link wouldn't open the chest and instead scream like a little girl. Alas, Link hesitated but then opened the chest and pulled out the Hookshot!
What was the first thing he did? Well, he took aim annnnnnnnnnnnnd...
"AHHHHH! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR?!" Rekhyt shrieked. Link had launched the weapon and it had hit Rekhyt and knocked him into the wall.
"Nothing."
He looked up at Dampe' who was saying to himself, but could still be heard,
"Stretchy, stretchy chain! It stretches soooo far! Stretch. Stretch. Stre--"
Link looked at him and said, "Wow! I didn't know you had mental roblems!"
Dampe's head shot up and he glared at Link and Rekhyt. He let out a roar and came at them. The duo ran for it. They ran and ran until they came to a block that had a design on it.
"Ugh. What now?" groaned Link.
Rekhyt was the one to answer.
"I think you should play the Song of Time. That symbol is the same as the one on the door of the Temple of Time, remember?"
Link's eyes widened in recognition. "Okay." 'Wow. I'm taking orders from my fairy. I'm going INSANE!!' he yelled in his mind.
But Link pulled out the Ocarina of Time and played the Song of Time. When the notes faded, so did the block. Link didn't tell Rekhyt 'Good job' for figuring out how to get through.
'Ungrateful little brat! I should give him a piece of my mind!'
"It-it-it-it's fr-fr-freezing..." Link's teeth chattered.
Rekhyt and Link were in the Windmill. If you couldn't tell, Link was freezing.
"Well, if you're cold, you could ask him to put in a heater. Heh."
Link glared at his red fairy. He sucked it up and jumped down from the wooden plank he was on. He landed on a circle like disc and instantly, the world began to spin. Link, with difficulty, spotted the exit. Just when he was about to open the door, the creepy man with the music box called him.
"Heeey! Do you have an ocarina?" he yelled to Link. Suspicion was evident in his voice.
"Yeeeees... Why?"
The man's eyes widened, "It's you! You're that little brat that used to always play this song!" he cried.
On his music box the man began to play a fast song. Link pulled out his blue ocarina and mirrored the notes. The disc began to spin faster and faster and faster and faster until Link's eyes hurt.
"Yo! Little blonde boy!" Link spun around to see Rekhyt by the door. "Get over here!"
Link obliged and he moved two steps to the door and opened it. Rain pummeled his face. But alas, it stopped about three seconds after Link got out.
"Where to, Rekhyt?" asked Link.
"You really ARE thick aren't you?"
"Just tell me where to go you dumb fluff-ball!"
"Fine." Rekhyt sighed, "The Forest Temple."
"Oh yes. Now I remember. The Leafy Temple! And onwards we go!"
Link ran down the stairs and headed to the exit. He ran down the steps and across the river. Link ran and ran and ran and ran until he got to the Kokiri Forest. When he entered the forest, he was shocked. A Deku Baba was very close to the entrance. Link figured that out the hard way. As he climbed to his feet, he drew the Master Sword and sliced it. He ran to the entrance to the Lost Woods, ignoring the other monsters that had made the forest their home. He entered.
Once inside, he noticed that the woods weren't infested. He was already halfway to the Sacred Forest Meadow when he was stopped by none other than, Mido.
"What do you think you're doing here?" he snapped.
"I'm a friend of Saria." he stated pointedly.
"Prove it."
Link sighed and pulled out his ocarina. He began to play Saria's Song. When he opened his eyes he noticed that Mido had stepped aside. Link nodded and ran to the Meadow.
When he entered, he found that there were no scrubs. Instead he found Moblins. He found out how to beat them and made his way to the end of the maze. When he reached the center, a shadow dropped down.
“Sheik! What’re you doing here?”
“It’s my job to help you, Hero of Time.”
“Ooooooooooookay….”
“First off I know you came here to save your friend, Saria. She has already awakened as a Sage. The Forest Sage to be exact. You must travel into the Forest Temple and save her. Do so with all haste. Go.”
Sheik took a few steps back and Link began to follow but was stopped by Rekhyt. Sheik pulled something out from behind him and he disappeared. Link sighed and walked forward. He pulled out his brand new Hookshot and aimed it at a tree. He was pulled forward and landed on a balcony. He walked into the Forest Temple.

Link looked around for Sheik. His search uncovered...nothing!
"Where the hell is he?" Link yelled. All he got for his colorful language was a bonk on the head from Rekhyt.
"Just shut up and go to the Temple."
Link rolled his sapphire eyes and took out his Hookshot. He aimed it up at a tree, but just before he could shoot, he heard a crack then a male voice call to him.
"Heey! I forgot to give you something! Come over here!" (Yuko: Well, I forgot to give Link the Minuet of Forest. I had to get Sheik back in there somehow...)
Link turned to find Sheik standing on a slightly raised platform. Nothing was different other than he was holding a golden harp.
"Hmph. What do you want?" the blonde asked.
"I need to teach you something. Come over here or you and my Senbon will become good friends. Hehe."
Link gulped quietly and ran to the blue-clad Sheikah. Sheik plucked at his harp and Link brought out his ocarina and played what Sheik called the Minuet of Forest. Sheik stepped back and once again vanished. Link shook his head and Rekhyt pulled Link to the tree again. He aimed his Hookshot and fired. The claw like thing sunk into the tree and Link, who was still holding onto the Hookshot, was pulled up and landed on a balcony.
"That was fun." Link said.
"You think everything is fun, Link." Rekhyt replied.
Link wasn't paying attention to Rekhyt, but that wasn't anything new. Instead, his attention seemed to be fixed on a bird.
"Oooh! I like birds." Link seemed to have forgotten why he was there.
"Link," Rekhyt started, "it's the small things that intrest you..." Rekhyt sighed and did something that neither he or Link would ever forget.
He flew to the back of Link's neck and bit him, though not hard. Link let out a startled yelp and his right hand shot to the back of his neck.
"Ow! Fine. I'm goin." Under his breath Link was muttering, "Stupid no good fairies. Why do I even have one? They don't even help. Sheesh."
When he entered the Forest Temple, everything was quiet. To quiet. Link took a few cautious steps forward and the earth in front of him moved. Two fuzzy heads popped up followed by a body. There Link stood, face to face with two Wolfos. They howled and one ran to the right and the other to the left. Link drew the Master Sword and decided to go after the one to his left. He turned and ran after the wolf. It was faster than him and when Link stopped to take a breather, it jumped at him. Link raised his sword and slashed the wolf. It yiped and backed up. Then, for some reason, he repeated himself. When the Wolfos was dead, Link picked up the heart it dropped and turned to face the other wolf. The fight was almost exactly the same.
'Deja vu.' Link thought during the fight.
With both Wolfos dead, Link turned his attention to the door they had been gaurding. The door had a chain across it and a lock in the center. Link looked around for a place where a key might be found.
'If I were a key where would I hide?' he asked himself.
Before Rekhyt could start talking, Link found a wall with vines on it. He began to climb but heard something. Something like a scratch. He looked up and saw a Gold Skulltula. He dropped down and brought out his Hookshot and aimed it at the spider.
"Uh, Link, I don't think that's such a great idea..." Rekhyt told him.
"Aww yea right." Link ignored Rekhyt and fired. Link expected the spider to die. What he did NOT expect was that he would be pulled to the spider. The spider knocked Link down and when Link got to his feet...he tried again. This time he succeeded. "Whoo hoo! Yea!" Link ran over to the skull-like token it dropped and picked it up. He began to climb the vines again and when he reached the top, he dropped down onto a thick tree branch. On the branch was a small chest. He opened the chest and picked up the small key he got. He jumped down onto the grassy ground and walked to the locked door. He unlocked it and went inside.
(Yuko: If you couldn't tell...I'm not going to make this like the Forest Temple in the game. I completely forget the way. I'm just making it up as I go. Some of it will be the same but I think the rest of the temples in this story will be like this.)
'Well,' Rekhyt thought, 'he's very focused when he's doing something important. Doubt it'll last for long though. Cause I'm around. Hehehe.'
In the next room, Link was about to go right down the straight hallway but Rekhyt got right in front of him and said, "Woah...if you want to go ahead be my guest but if you don't want to be spider food...you'd better look up."
Link looked up and saw a Big Skulltula. "Ergh...that's just nasty... Die!" Link aimed his Hookshot at the spider and shot. The claw hit the spider dead on and it fell. It's legs curled up and it exploded. When the smoke cleared, Link picked up the green rupee it dropped. Link shivered and moved to the door on the other side of the room. He went through the door and his eyes took in the sight of the room he was now in.
In the center of this room were four torches. The fire of the torches were different colors. Red, blue, green, and yellow. Link had taken one step when shapes materialized near the torches. Four Poes appeared and they each took the flame. They looked at Link and laughed at his stunned expression. They floated over to four different doors and disappeared through them.
"Well this sucks..." Link and Rekhyt said together. Rekhyt motioned for Link to go through the door straight ahead. Link ran across the room and up some stairs and through the door Rekhyt had mentioned. He closed the door behind him and almost threw up. In front of him was what looked like a hand. It was big and scabby. Rekhyt's wings stopped working and he fluttered down. Just before he hit the floor, he got up again and quickly flew over to a corner of the room. Link gulped and drew his sword and advanced. The hand turned to him and scuttled over to him. Link closed his eyes and swung his sword. When he opened them, he saw not one, not two, but three mini-Floor Masters. Link yelped and cut them down. He looked around for Rekhyt and saw him coming down from the corner.
"What were you doing?" he half yelled at his fairy, "You didn't help?"
"One, I couldn't. I'm a fairy. Two, it was gross...blech."
"Fine. Then what were you doing up there?"
"Throwing up." Link made a face, "Just get the chest."
"What chest?"
"Ugh, you idiot! The chest that appeared after you killed the Floor Master. Duh."
"Oh..." Link walked over to the chest and opened it. He pulled out the...Fairy Bow! "Yes! This is awesome!"
"Just go back to the room we were in before we came in here."
Link ran back to the main hall and instantly turned right. He walked through the door and came face to face with a skull-like monster. A Stalfos to be exact. It had a sword in one hand and a round sheild in the other. Behind it was the green Poe. Link charged at the Stalfos and jumped to the left instantly. He slamed his fist to the floor and yelled: Din's Fire! A dome of fire encircled Link and the Stalfos screeched and crumbled to dust. Link, maybe for the first and last time, did something smart. He quickly pulled out his Fairy Bow and shot the Poe. She didn't move and Link shot her again. She vanished and re-appeared in front of Link. She swung her lantern and it hit Link dead on. He yelled and got back on his feet. He gave a wild yell and charged and sliced the Poe. She shreiked and vanished. The green fire stayed in the lantern and when Link went to touch it...it came up and burnt Link's hand before it went back into the main room.
"AHHH! Ouch! Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, ho--" Rekhyt picked up a bone and smacked Link on the head. He rubbed the back of his head. "Yea, yea, I'm going...sheesh." Link walked to the door and opened it. He did the same thing with the other three doors.
About an hour and millions of scares later,Link had gotten the last three fires. He stood in the center of the floor and something strange happened. He began to sink.
"I'm shrinking! Ahhh! No matter what happens...I will not follow the bright light!" He opened his eyes and sighed. "I'm not dead!" He walked forward and up a winding staircase.
At the top of the stairs was a door. A plain black door. Link gulped and gently pushed to door open. Inside he found even more stairs. Link groaned and continued his trek through the Forest Temple. When he reached the top, he found another door. He opened it and emerged into a circular room. On the walls were pictures of a pathway through a forest. A black horse with a black rider. Link examined the photos and shrugged.
'Nothing here.' he thought.
Just then, a noise sounded. Link thought it was Rekhyt so he rounded on his fairy.
"Yo! It wasn't me! Hey look! The picture is moving!"
The fairy was right. Out of the frame in the middle come the horse and rider. It gave a laugh and rode around the room.
"Rekhyt... Tell me what the HECK that thing is! NOW!"
Link had drawn the Master Sword and was eyeing the rider.
"It's Phantom Ganon. You need to shoot it when it emerges from a picture. Then you slice the crap outta it!"
"I can do that... Die!"
Link jumped forward and took out his Fairy Bow and aimed at one of the moving pictures. The arrow whizzed through the air and hit the picture in the torso. He yelled and floated down to the floor. Link charged and struck Ganon. When he rose, his horse was gone and Ganon drew his sword. He looked at Link fiercely and a ball of crackling energy appeared in the center of the big blade. The magic fired at Link and Link raised his sword and to his surprise, it bounced back at Ganon. Ganon hit it back to Link. Link hit it back to Ganon and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and...you get the idea. The energy hit Ganon and he fell. Link rushed in and stabbed Ganon. Phantom Ganon screamed and Link did what he called the 'Victory Dance'.
"He was useless anyway."
Link looked up and saw Ganon. "He was just a puppet."
"Really? I didn't see any strings."
"Never mind. You may have freed this temple but you won't free the others! Muahahahahahahaha!"
He vanished. A circle of blue light appeared and Rekhyt flew into it. Link followed and a white light filled the room. When Link opened his eyes he was back in the Realm of Sages. But this time, Saria was standing on the green platform.
"Hi, Link. Thank you for freeing me. I have to give you something for that..." She held out a green medalion and Link took it. "It's the Forest Medalion. I can't go back to the forest but you mush free the other sages. The next one is on a high mountain. You should go now."
Saria didn't leave any room for argument. So Link just nodded dumbly.
End Notes:
Sadly, this is the last chapter I have so far. It will take me a bit until I can get the next one up. :( ^.^
