Any comments send to hey7972000@yahoo.com or if you are a vinny member go ahead and pm me. Thanks and enjoy!!
In the beginning, the Hero of Time was well celebrated. People in the alternate timeline in which Ganon was defeated was celebrating the end of his evil reign. Soon after though, problems arose. There was anarchy in the land of Hyrule. The Golden Age people thought and longed for was now only a dream. Eventually after many years of no control, a man by the name of Frod Nonag came into power. This dictator demanded called the proper King of Hyrule. This time was referred to the time of the Dark. During this time, Frod told people that the Hero of Time was to blame. By the end of Frod's life, most of Hyrule belived his story. Now 200 years later, Frod's ancestor, Erimgard Nonag, is in control and everyone despises the Hero of Time. This is where our story takes place, with a young boy named Link.
Chapter 1: A new Adventure by bobthebigfatbovine
Hey everyone. Chapter 1 is here. I plan to have a chapter every two weeks so expect chapter 2 in october. Please review it!!
It was just like any other day in Kariako village; the sun behind the clouds, Death Mountian erupting, rain, and the smell of brimstone in the air. Link was on his way to teh castle where he was to do a special errand for Erimgard Nonag. On the way out of the village, Link stopped in front of a house. "Come on Nolam! We're already late as it is!" A figure slowly opened the door. "Late for what Link? You must be thinking about things too much.
"Lord Erimgard requested us for a task!" Nolam looked suddenly awake. "Crap! We gotta go!" Link and Nolam ran out of the village as quickly as they could. As they aproached Hyrule Field, they could see the decimate wasteland that before their eyes. There wee tales of this field looking beautiful, but the so called "Hero of Time" destroyed the land making it a wasteland. If you were to go to Greudo Valloey and try to see a difference, you wouldn't be able to.
Link and Nolam stopped at the foot of the stairs leading up to Kariako Village. "Alright, Just like any other time Nolam. Anything that comes torward us, just pick it off." Link said as he unseathed his sword. "Right." Nolam stated as he prepared his bow. Immeditly they start running. After about two seconds of running, four stalfos emerged from the ground. Just as one rose up, Nolam released his arrow. The stalfos' head was completely removed from its body.
"Got one!" Nolam yelled as he prepared another arrow. Link then ran up to another stalfos and swung as hard as he could with is sword. The stalfos was ripped in half by the sword. As soon as the two stalfos fell, four more rose to take their place. "Damn. Nolam, just run! We can't take them!" Link yelled as he started to run. Nolam was soon to follow. Lucky for them, the stalfos were slow as heck. When they got to the castle, the gate was already open and about ten guards were standing there.
"Halt! Who goes there!" The center guard yelled. Link soon replied after catching his breath. "We were requested by Lord Erimgard to come for a task." Link panted. "I see. So you must be the cadets from Kariako with talent. Your late, we've been waiting for ten minutes." Nolam was quick to give their excuse. "Sorry sir. We ran into some stalfos on the way here and they are currently in pursuit of us." The center solider signaled to the archers at the wall.
"Well then, shall we go? The briefing might have already started." Link looked cofused. "But sir, what about the stalfos. I mean that the archers probably couldn't hit them from that dista–" Link was cut off. "Those archers are the best in all of Hyrule. Not one stalfos will step within a hundred feet radius of the castle." As the guard started walking, Link could hear the crys of stalfos' in the background. "Oh, by the way," the guard said, "it's not sir. You call me Captian Lepis or Captian recruits. I will explain why you are recruited later." Nolam and Link both had a look of glee on their faces. What they had been training for all their lives finally paid off.
After what had seem like a forever walking, Link and Nolam finnally reached to the Royal Army Headquarters. It was a little small than the castle, but it was enough to house an entire army. "Get in the main hall and find a seat you two." When Link and Nolam arrived in the main hall, they saw at least two thousand people. "Wow," Nolam said,"it looks like we weren't the only ones recruited. What do you think Link?" Link was staring off into space and snapped into reality. "What did you say Nolam?" Nolam was getting a little annoyed. "I said what do you think!" "Oh. Well first my heart skipped a beat when he said that we were in the royal army and now I would have to admit I'm a little scared." Nolam looked confused. "What is there to be afraid of Link?" Link was silent and Nolam got the point. "Oh I get it." Link then felt a little tug on his shirt. When he turned around, he was a little boy.
"Excuse me, but do you know when this presentation is going to start?" Nolam laughed. "What are you doing here little boy? Isn't this a place for grown ups?" Nolam soon regretted that statement. The little boy Nolam so hard in the face he was knocked on his butt. "For your information," the boy said in an angry tone "I am probably twice as old as you." Nolam got up and was in pain. "Jezz, sorry if I mistook you for a kid. Still, midigets shouldn't b–" Nolam was cut off just as the "kid's" fist went into his gut. He was looking infuriated. Link then relized who the kid was.
"Please excuse my friend. He doesn't know what a koriki looks like or let alone what a koriki is." The koriki looked a little relived. "Thank the goddess that everyone here isn't a complete moron. Anyway my name is Jacob." Jacob said with an extended hand. "Pleased to meet you," Link said as he took the hand "I'm Link and my friend here is Nolam." Jacob smiled. "Anyway," Jacob started, "do you know when they are going to start this presentation?" Nolam started to get up groaning. "You really didn't need to do that now did ya. I just say a little thing and I get the crap beaten out of me by someone half my size. About the presentation, how the hell should I know!" Jacob looked phycotic again. "And I will kick you ass if you don't shut up!"
You could easly tell that Jacob and Nolam were going to fight. Thankfully, the prestentation was about to begin. "Everyone stand and salut our Lord Erimgard!" a loud ominious voice said. As everyone stood, a figure slowly walked to the podium. He was wearing a dark cloak with a hood and royal garment. Nobody could see his face. As he faced the assembly of people, they all saluted him. "At ease and sit now!" Erimgard yelled.
"So, some you may have been wondering why you have been called here. Some of you may heard it is recruitment, others said that it was a special task. Well it is both. Over the years, I have lost soliders to death, retirement, or injury. Captian Lepis and I decided to finally recruit new members. Not just random people, but the best in all of Hyrule. Captian Lepis will now tell you of the task." Erimgard went to his seat as Captian Lepis went to the podium. "All of you already excel in combat so we need not to go through training. For your first mission recruits, more of a test actually, is a simple one. Rebels in the old Greudo fortress have finally retreated back to the Spirit Temple. Your mission is to capture the rebels if possible. Especially their leader, the Maiden of the Desert. If any resist, use all force possible, and you also have permission to eleminate any. We leave in two hours."

Chapter 2: Divided Friends
Link and Nolam stood up after the presentation. Jacob was already up since he had to stand in order to see."Well, what do we do now?" Nolam asked as he streched his arms. "Well, " Jacob sneered "if you were listening, we are to split up according to division!" "You know kid, if you keep up this attitude, someone might kick your ass."
"Like you could kick my ass!" Jacob snapped back. Just as Nolam was about to punch Jacob, Link stepped in between them. "Can't you just stop fighting for 5 minutes! In the short time you've known each other, you, Nolam, just about got kicked out of the army!" Link said as he remembered what happened in the presentation.
********Flashback********
"You of couse will be split up into different regiments." Lepis' voiced echoed over the crowd. "There will be 3 different special ops. divisions, 30 archery divisions, and 76 infintry divisions." Link was also paying attention to Nolam and Jacob who were right next to them. "I bet the archery is way better than the infintry." Nolam said in a bragging voice. "You know, the archers just sit back and fire as the infintry att---" Nolam couldn't finish his sentence since Jacob's fist was in his mouth. "Can't you see I'm trying to pay attention dumbass." Jacob said as he removed his fist from Nolam's mouth. Nolam immeditly jumped up. "That's it your dead short man!" Nolam yelled out. All of a sudden, silence entered the briefing room. "You idiot Nolam!" Link thought to himself, "Now you just might get kicked out." Nolam just looked around after the interuption. "May I continue?" Lepis said in an angered voice. "Yes, of course sir." Nolam answered in a half wisper.
********End Flashback********
"That was his fault Link!" Nolam yelled. "Hey! When did I start all of this! You were the one who was bragging! I just shut you up so I could listen." Jacob said in Nolams face. "Look, " Link started, "We are on the same side here people, so why don't we put that in the past. Ok Nolam, Jacob?" Nolam just started walking away. "That will not happen. The next time I see you shorty, it is the end of you." When Nolam was clear from view, Link sighed. "You know, sometimes I just don't get that guy, He can be such a great guy if you really know him, and then he can turn into a real bitch."
Link and Jacob started to walk down towards the exit of the briefing hall. "Well, how did you excatly meet him?" Jacob asked. "I say it was about two years ago. I was exploring in the wasteland and I say a little fort in the middle. Being curious, I decided to investigate. I walked into the fort and that is when I saw him defending himself against 4 stalfos. Being the nice guy that I am, I helped him out and that is how we meet. I invited him to stay with me at Kariako Village and in due time, he got him self a house and now we are here."
"Well that must have been really interesting way to meet somebody. Anyway, what regiment are you in Link? I'm in infintry so this is where i get off." Link took a slip of paper given to him from his pocket. "It says I'm in Sp2, so that means I part of the special ops." Link's face suddenly beamed with joy. "Wait, that division is supposed to be top of the line! Now I know I can die a happy man!" "Maybe you can because that division has had the most losses." Link looked at Jacob sadly. "You don't know that!" 'Oh well, that is just a rumor. See you on the battle field." With that Jacob started running. Finally, Link was alone. He started to walk to the special ops. room. When he started running, he heard a girls voice in his head. "Are you a decendent of him?" The voice asked him. "What?! Who is him to start, and where are you?" "Well, him is the Hero of Time, and you will find me soon." Link realized who it was. "Your the Maiden of the Desert aren't you!" Link said in an agered tone. "Well, aren't you a smart one. So just tell me, Is there a triangle on your right hand?" Link just started running. "I have no need to tell you. Now get out of my head!" "Fine, " the voice said, "just be ready when you attack, cause your the first to go." The voice yelled it dissapeared. Link stopped running to catch his breath. "Who was she, " he thought, "and why does she want me?"

Chapter 3 Changing sides
It has been about three hours since Link had left the castle and heard the mysterious voice. It pretty much sounded like a threat but he was ready. "Alright troops. We will set up HQ here." Lepis voice echoed over the division. Link looked around and saw what looked like homes in the cliff. "Isn't this the old greudo fortress?" Link asked a fellow solider. "Yep. Brillant isn't it. Using an enemies old base." Link just shrugged. "For now, I want for the division to split up and scout the area. There may still be rebels hiding. One group check out the huts, another up the hill, and the rest look out for any enemies." Link was assinged to the group to check out the huts.
After about an hour, their group was lost in the fortress. "Great job there leader!" one solider yelled at the commander. "I'm sure we came from this way. Why do we always come back to this spot!" "Maybe because your a dumbass!" The group leader got infurrerated by this comment. "So you think you can do a better job?!" The solider jumped up to the front of the group. "Yea, and I'll get us out of here." He started to run for the doorway but then suddenly stopped. Link was getting very angery. "What the hell! Are you going to get us out or not!" The solider fell down backwards with an arrow in his chest. Four more soliders dropped with arrows in assorted body parts. "Scatter!" More arrows flew and more soliders dropped. One arrow was knocked down by Link's sword. "I highly suggest we retreat!" He yelled but then realized that he was the only one standing. "Shit!" Link started to run. "You know, If I were you, I would put your sword away." a female voice echoed in his mind. "Not you again!" "If you put your sword away, they wont shoot." Link was still running with his sword out. "And then what, they'll shoot me later!" The voice intesified. "I'm trying to help you live you idoit boy! Your either going to get killed by my men or by yours. Your choice!" Link was still running ignoring the voice.
Twenty minutes later he was deep into the fortress. "I hope you realize that your division has retreated already." Link was getting annoyed by the voice. "Why do you bother me?! Why not somebody else!" "Lets just say that there is a trait about you I desire." Link was disturbed by this comment. Then he heard footsteps comming near him. "Also if you wern't that important to me, then I wouldn't have made this special trip just to see you." Before Link's eyes stood a girl of beauty. Link snapped back into reality. "Are you the one who has been speaking to me?" The girl nodded. "Yep. Please put your sword on the ground." Link pointed the sword at the girl. "Like hell I would! What is telling me that you won't attack me!" "I understand that but you must trust me." Link only inched forward. "Fine! You leave me no choice!" The girl clasped her hands together and mutter some words. All of a sudden, his sword weighed like a ton. "What the hell did you do to my sword?!" The girl just smiled. "Made it heavier, what else do you expect. It only for my protection though."
After countless tries, Link gave up on picking up his sword. In the meantime, the girl was making a fire. "It will be a while before my men come." She wipped out a skillet and some food. "Would you like somthing to eat?" Link just starred at her. "Look, get used to the fact that I now have you as my prisioner Link. That is your name is it?" Link just nodded, not taking his eyes off her. "Good. Now Link, I have been generally nice, but you have shown me no respect. I can be a nice person, or a cold hearted bitch. Your choice." Link thought over it for a second and then sat beside her. He didn't really want to be a victim of her magic. "Now that is more like it." She smiled. "What do you want to eat? I have sausages, eggs, brea–" "I'm not hungery." She just smiled. "That is all you have to say. For a second I thought you went mute."
She threw on a couple of sausages on to the skillet. "Good. Now while that is cooking, I'll answer any question." Link thought over it for a minute. "Why me?" "Very simple answer. You are the only living decendent of the Hero of Time." Link froze for a second. "How do you know that? I am almost positive my family is from a group of merchants." Zelda sighed. "Those wern't your real parents. We don't know where your real parents are either." Link was starting to belive this girl. Now that he thought about it, he looked nothing like his current parents. "Yea but how do you know that I'm the decendent of the Hero of Time?" "Zelda pointed at his left hand which had a triangle on it. "The decendents of the Hero of Time carry with them the Triforce of courage." "But wasn't the Hero of Time the destroyer of Hyrule?" "That is what the Nonag family wanted you to belive, because it was actually his family that destroyed Hyrule." The girl sighed. "He weaked the land and the people so that is ancestor, Frod Nonag, could achive power and his family is still in power to this day." "But what does this have to do with me?" The girl was chewing on a sausage. "We may be wrong but what we think is th-" She suddenly stopped. They started hearing foot steps.
"Zelda! The fortress is clear, this may be our only chance at getting to the Spirit Temple with the others!" "Give me 2 minutes. I have our guest of honor here." She yelled. She snapped her fingers and the fire went out. "We talk more when we arrive at the temple, that is if you belive me and decide to join us in our efforts." Link was thinking about the name the guy called her. "Zelda, isn't that the prin-" "Princess of Hyrule? Yes, or former I should say. I am a decendent of the princess, holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, and rightful queen of Hyrule. And yes my name as well is Zelda." The two soliders arrived at the camp spot. "Zelda, we've gotta go now. Reenforcements are going to arrive!" "Not untill Link made his decision." Link thought of this for a long time. "Fine, but don't expect much from me." One of the soliders wispered into her ear. "Zel, do you think we can trust him?" Zelda nodded. "Of course, he trusted me, so we should return the favor. Plus I don't think it is in his nature to lie, right Link?" She gave him a friendly smile. Link mearly nodded. "It's settled. We're off now. Don't expect many breaks."
