Chapter 3 Changing sides

It has been about three hours since Link had left the castle and heard the mysterious voice. It pretty much sounded like a threat but he was ready. "Alright troops. We will set up HQ here." Lepis voice echoed over the division. Link looked around and saw what looked like homes in the cliff. "Isn't this the old greudo fortress?" Link asked a fellow solider. "Yep. Brillant isn't it. Using an enemies old base." Link just shrugged. "For now, I want for the division to split up and scout the area. There may still be rebels hiding. One group check out the huts, another up the hill, and the rest look out for any enemies." Link was assinged to the group to check out the huts.
After about an hour, their group was lost in the fortress. "Great job there leader!" one solider yelled at the commander. "I'm sure we came from this way. Why do we always come back to this spot!" "Maybe because your a dumbass!" The group leader got infurrerated by this comment. "So you think you can do a better job?!" The solider jumped up to the front of the group. "Yea, and I'll get us out of here." He started to run for the doorway but then suddenly stopped. Link was getting very angery. "What the hell! Are you going to get us out or not!" The solider fell down backwards with an arrow in his chest. Four more soliders dropped with arrows in assorted body parts. "Scatter!" More arrows flew and more soliders dropped. One arrow was knocked down by Link's sword. "I highly suggest we retreat!" He yelled but then realized that he was the only one standing. "Shit!" Link started to run. "You know, If I were you, I would put your sword away." a female voice echoed in his mind. "Not you again!" "If you put your sword away, they wont shoot." Link was still running with his sword out. "And then what, they'll shoot me later!" The voice intesified. "I'm trying to help you live you idoit boy! Your either going to get killed by my men or by yours. Your choice!" Link was still running ignoring the voice.
Twenty minutes later he was deep into the fortress. "I hope you realize that your division has retreated already." Link was getting annoyed by the voice. "Why do you bother me?! Why not somebody else!" "Lets just say that there is a trait about you I desire." Link was disturbed by this comment. Then he heard footsteps comming near him. "Also if you wern't that important to me, then I wouldn't have made this special trip just to see you." Before Link's eyes stood a girl of beauty. Link snapped back into reality. "Are you the one who has been speaking to me?" The girl nodded. "Yep. Please put your sword on the ground." Link pointed the sword at the girl. "Like hell I would! What is telling me that you won't attack me!" "I understand that but you must trust me." Link only inched forward. "Fine! You leave me no choice!" The girl clasped her hands together and mutter some words. All of a sudden, his sword weighed like a ton. "What the hell did you do to my sword?!" The girl just smiled. "Made it heavier, what else do you expect. It only for my protection though."
After countless tries, Link gave up on picking up his sword. In the meantime, the girl was making a fire. "It will be a while before my men come." She wipped out a skillet and some food. "Would you like somthing to eat?" Link just starred at her. "Look, get used to the fact that I now have you as my prisioner Link. That is your name is it?" Link just nodded, not taking his eyes off her. "Good. Now Link, I have been generally nice, but you have shown me no respect. I can be a nice person, or a cold hearted bitch. Your choice." Link thought over it for a second and then sat beside her. He didn't really want to be a victim of her magic. "Now that is more like it." She smiled. "What do you want to eat? I have sausages, eggs, brea–" "I'm not hungery." She just smiled. "That is all you have to say. For a second I thought you went mute."
She threw on a couple of sausages on to the skillet. "Good. Now while that is cooking, I'll answer any question." Link thought over it for a minute. "Why me?" "Very simple answer. You are the only living decendent of the Hero of Time." Link froze for a second. "How do you know that? I am almost positive my family is from a group of merchants." Zelda sighed. "Those wern't your real parents. We don't know where your real parents are either." Link was starting to belive this girl. Now that he thought about it, he looked nothing like his current parents. "Yea but how do you know that I'm the decendent of the Hero of Time?" "Zelda pointed at his left hand which had a triangle on it. "The decendents of the Hero of Time carry with them the Triforce of courage." "But wasn't the Hero of Time the destroyer of Hyrule?" "That is what the Nonag family wanted you to belive, because it was actually his family that destroyed Hyrule." The girl sighed. "He weaked the land and the people so that is ancestor, Frod Nonag, could achive power and his family is still in power to this day." "But what does this have to do with me?" The girl was chewing on a sausage. "We may be wrong but what we think is th-" She suddenly stopped. They started hearing foot steps.
"Zelda! The fortress is clear, this may be our only chance at getting to the Spirit Temple with the others!" "Give me 2 minutes. I have our guest of honor here." She yelled. She snapped her fingers and the fire went out. "We talk more when we arrive at the temple, that is if you belive me and decide to join us in our efforts." Link was thinking about the name the guy called her. "Zelda, isn't that the prin-" "Princess of Hyrule? Yes, or former I should say. I am a decendent of the princess, holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, and rightful queen of Hyrule. And yes my name as well is Zelda." The two soliders arrived at the camp spot. "Zelda, we've gotta go now. Reenforcements are going to arrive!" "Not untill Link made his decision." Link thought of this for a long time. "Fine, but don't expect much from me." One of the soliders wispered into her ear. "Zel, do you think we can trust him?" Zelda nodded. "Of course, he trusted me, so we should return the favor. Plus I don't think it is in his nature to lie, right Link?" She gave him a friendly smile. Link mearly nodded. "It's settled. We're off now. Don't expect many breaks."
