The Tales of the Lost Soldiers by SPartan 119
Prologue:
The tales of the lost soldiers
Once, before the kingdom of Hyrule there was a kingdom… a kingdom distraught by many different evils all coming together. The land was named Endfall. Today in Hyrule there are some unusual writings about it but none as unusual as this. It is not interpretable by today’s cultures. This is how the script goes.
We are here, the fountain of Youth is just ahead and we canot get there. The beast is stalking us. We will die. All of the men are dead except for me. This is probably my last word. I am so close but so far though. I hear a rustling behind me. Doom is near, but I see it, I see the fountain and I shall drink it's immortal waters. The beast is getting closer and
This is all that is written, this is the only language that has not yet been able to been interpreted. But we have. We have a hunch on what it might have to do with. This was in a sacred cave used for religious purposes of the ultimate dragon; these were early religious ceremonies that had nothing to do with the gods. In fact, this dragon was so powerful it made the goddesses look like an annoyance in comparison.
Now it is still the time of Endfall and soldiers were sent out to destroy the dragon that has claimed so many lives. Though there has not been word yet there is still a chance they will be returning. Though it is very unlikely. This is an interpretation that was found about the soldier’s last words. The areas with periods are the ones that can’t be interpreted.
We have come and … … … stalking us. We can … … … … our necks. It is, the exact … room … are… We … … fountain. I … one … … last … left. The … is here… are …
This is how the interpretable text reads. You can see the areas that can’t be read. We are now returning to where we sent the knights and this is how it goes.
We are in a dark tunnel that we found miles south of Central Hyrule (Ocarina of Time Hyrule is the central map) near a stubby mountain. Though stubby it is fairly tall and it is below freezing at the top, and the top is where the tunnel lies. We have reached a large crevice below as we see the exit of the tunnel. We feel presence, presence other than us. It is coming I can feel it. We go into the crevice and see a throne… larger than the king’s throne and to the left of it is a large fountain with sparkling water. The fountain is beautifully decorated with ivory and gold braces on its legs. It has designs of dragons in a battle at the bottom and at the top where water sprays out is a text that cannot be read.
But to the right of the kings throne is… is… a…
An Unusual Gift by SPartan 119
An Unusual Gift
Days go by and time passes. Over the Prologue, that is a script found near the spirit temple. Gerudo guards were at that area and they saw a large pothole, they investigated and they found a scroll, which has the exact text of the prologue. “We can’t figure out what it says”, said a university scholar. So they took it to me up North beyond the shadows of Death Mountain and gave me the script to interpret. It was fairly easy but you have to have grown up as an ancient enfaillan. My parents were the last enfaillans of all time so I was an enfaillan but a Hylian. I am the last enfaillan and there will not be another. They taught me the ancient language and it was actually fairly easy to learn. But the early scripts, which I have no idea what said, I just didn’t know it. So I read all that I could. And that’s how it went.

Link was ten years old right now, he still lived in the Kokiri forest, which was a bit odd because he knew he was a Hylian, but the others don’t know that so he decided to take it to his advantage. He barely had any friends. Saria was the only one but she didn’t speak to him much because he kept blabbering about the Hero of Time adventure and beating Ganondorf but she had no idea what the hell he was talking about. So she just ignored him when he started talking about it again. Link and Saria always had breakfast together though, which made it seem odd that she never spoke to him often.
After breakfast Link would walk to his house again and yearn for a new adventure to take him somewhere. He no longer had the Kokiri sword since he had to return it. And his Deku shield burned up when a Fire Keese attacked him while he was walking in a cave. So the only form of defense he had was his Hylian shield, which he hated, and the Mirror Shield. The Mirror shield he liked more and he was beginning to be able to carry it. Link decided finally, that was it, he was sick of just sitting in the forest waiting for something to happen. He walked out onto Hyrule field and looked up at the rising sun. It was no different from any other time.
He went to the Market and saw that most of it was empty. It was Sunday and most of the stalls were closed except for the food stall, Link’s personal favorite. Since he was short on rupees he couldn’t buy anything. The cheapest was an expensive thirty rupees! You might not see that as expensive but for a piece of bread!!! Link was not all that rich. But then Link saw something that caught his eye. There was a stand with total religious items he had never seen before. The man was a total shadow with red eyes though, apparently somebody that didn’t talk to people often. He decided to ignore the ugly shadow and moved on.
He went into the back alleys and noticed a poster up. The princess’ birthday today, all Hylians welcome that bring a gift. Link thought for a moment, he didn’t have much money but he saw a scorpion necklace that he thought would make a good gift. He went back to the stall and saw that the man was gone. He was nowhere nearby which seemed almost impossible because he just saw the stall man there about half a minute ago. He walked toward the stall and saw the ten-rupee necklace. He placed two blue rupees on the stall and turned around to walk off. He then heard a hissing thank you and he looked back and there was nothing. Link was kind of scared now.
Link noticed that the party wasn’t until about eight P.M that night. It was already five P.M and Link was already pooped. He let out a big yawn and decided to go to Saria’s house to have dinner. Since Link hadn’t talked about the adventure he recently had Saria began to talk to him some more. Link knocked on the door or, the doorpost since the Kokiri don’t have doors and she invited him in for dinner.
“Who’s the necklace for?” Saria asked wonderingly seeing the scorpion necklace in Link’s hand.
“None of your business!” He retaliated.
“Do you have a crush on someone? I always knew that you liked that girl, oh what was her name, oh yeah, Malon!”
“Malon?” said Link confused. “Why the heck would I like someone like her?”
“I don’t know. You have to know that.” Saria said.
“I don’t like her,” said Link. “I don’t like anybody, in fact girls pretty much disgust me.”
Saria gave a loud “Harrumph”.
“Hey, not you. I didn’t mean you in that.” said Link trying to defend his reputation for not insulting his friends.
“Oh so the necklace is for me.” said Saria with a large smile on her face.
“No”, said Link, “it’s for… someone else.”
“I know who you are giving that to,” said Saria. “It’s for the princess isn’t it.”
“How do you know?” asked Link, “Those posters are only in Hyrule market and you can’t go out of- Hey… wait a second. You leave the forest don’t you? You’re not supposed to leave the forest.”
“So what if I do?” said Saria. All the evil in the world is gone, the Kokiri have full right to leave the forest. And one other thing, you shouldn’t leave the forest either should you I mean, you are a Kokiri aren’t you.”
Link took time to think about that. Should he tell the truth, that he really is a Hylian or should he lie and get in trouble anyway?
“Of course I’m a Kokiri.” said Link with a duh in his voice. “I have to get to a party kind of soon.”
“You’re not supposed to leave the forest.” said Saria with a calm smile.
Link had to tell the truth he couldn’t sustain it anymore. If he didn’t tell she’d figure out anyway. But Link could just escape right now I mean she was at the opposite end of the room from the door. Link quickly left out of the door and Saria followed.
“Hey everybody, hey everybody! Link is leaving the forest!”
“Not like you haven’t!” said Link continuing to run.
After about ten seconds Saria kept chasing Link and they made a game out of it. Link ran into the lost woods until the reached the river where the warp point to the Zora’s domain is. Link collapsed onto the floor back first laughing his head off. Saria followed and she stumbled on a rock and landed on Link. (It seems like one of those pathetic romance stories) Link quickly slipped out from under her but she grabbed his hand. Link kept trying to pull away but Saria wouldn’t let him.
“Saria,” he said. “I know you like me but I have to explain something. I’m a Hylian, yes. I’m saying it now. The reason I’ve kept it a secret is because I wanted to live among the Kokiri until I’ve reached maturity, and then I would have made an excuse that I died of some sort of disease or I killed myself. I’m sorry, but it would just never work. They both were looking very disappointed. Link because he admitted his entire plans, and Saria because she would have to date Mido now.”
“It’s late,” Link said, “I have to get to that party.”
“I knew it…” said Saria with a disappointed look on her face.
“Let’s talk about this later,” said Link. “You’re giving me heartbreak and I can’t be all weepy eyed when I get to that party can I.”
***
Link made it back to the Kokiri forest on what seemed to take hours. He knew that Saria would hate him from now on but he didn’t care. She wouldn’t have liked a liar anyway. He saw Mido and it seemed like he was about to taunt him.
“Ah you’re leaving the forest again.” he said putting his hand on his hips and stretching out his chin again.
“Shut up!” yelled Link and then he sent a sucker punch right into Mido’s chin.
Mido went stumbling backwards yelling in pain. Saria came to Mido’s side and she had an angry face, tears were coming out of her eyes. Link knew that unforgiving look. He knew he would never be able to come back in the forest and not be pushed right back out. He made the biggest mistake of his life.
Link ran and ran, wishing that he didn’t just punch Mido in the chin. But he did, there was absolutely nothing he could do about it either. He had no other place to live. Link began to cry and cry, if only he had gone to his own place to dinner this would have never happened. He kept running and running until he collapsed to his knees and covered his face, trying to stop the tears.

Meanwhile in the land of Perthemia, a large country west of Hyrule, a teenaged boy named Michael is about to turn seventeen, or that’s what I think.
“I want to go back to Endfall.” he said.
All the other men in the bar were drunk.
“Yeah, said a clearly drunk man. “Don’t go there, you might fall until the end.” He then started laughing freakishly hard. He hit the table so hard while he was laughing that it got a crack and it broke into several pieces.
“Okay,” said Michael, “I guess I’d better go now.”
Michael is one of the legendary Enfaillans and you can probably guess, he doesn’t know that his parents died though and that I’m the only one other than him left.
He got packed and was ready to leave. He packed a loaf of bred, a bushel of grapes, and one piece of meat. The other items he had were items he used to defend himself such as his sword (which was more powerful than the Biggoron sword and larger), and a bow, he didn’t wield a shield, and a small amount of arrows.
He was kind of disappointed that he was leaving so suddenly. But he barely had any friends, mainly because most of the people around him were afraid of his sword.
Now entering Hyrule, said a sign in a ravine. The ravine was a few miles long. It separated Perthemia and Hyrule from each other. The two countries had a war with each other recently so there was a large wall near Hyrule, but Michael has climbed bigger things.
He saw the wall. It was about one hundred feet tall. The wall seemed to be perfectly smooth but it wouldn’t be anymore. Michael had no idea about the war since he was in Perthemia for about a year. He continuously got closer to what he thought was Endfall and now was the time in which he would see it. He got out two axes and he slammed the sharp edge of his axe onto the smooth wall. It seemed rather disappointing that something so perfect was being destroyed. He got about to about twenty feet and he saw a storm moving in.
***
Link was still kneeling on the floor. It was now seven forty five and he would have to get to the party desperately soon. He saw the storm moving in from nearby. He’d have to hurry, it seemed to be moving fast and he knew that if he wouldn’t hurry that he would be soaking wet as soon as he got into the castle.
He reached Hyrule market and it was seven fifty five. Not good, he would have to run from now on. He quickly picked up his pace and was running about six miles per hour, okay for his age. He saw the guard and showed him the gift. He let Link through.
***
Michael was already drenched in the rain as he got to the top of the wall. A bolt of lightning struck a nearby tree and a forest fire started. Not… good, he said to himself with wide eyes. He’d have to hurry or… well… I’ll let you do the thinking.
He ran as fast as he could. He could already see the Kokiri forest; he would just have to not run out of breath. He was trying to breathe as hard as he could but he couldn’t sustain it. He collapsed to his knees gasping for air. The fire encircled around him.
“I don’t think so!!!!” he yelled with rage. He ran right through the fire and didn’t have a single black mark on him.
He finally got to Hyrule field but this didn’t look like anything like the Endfall he remembered. He wondered if there was some kind of earthquake. And he also wondered why it said Hyrule on the sign. “Maybe,” he thought to himself, “Hyrule conquered Endfall; well I’ll unconquer it.”
He made it to Hyrule castle and it was already eight fifteen.
***
“I got you this…” said Link blushing slightly.
Princess Zelda looked at it confused. It seemed like she already knew what this was but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.
“Is there something wrong?” asked Link.
Zelda continued to suspend the necklace from her finger. She squinted her eyes trying to remember where she saw this before but she got nothing. It was like she knew every nook and cranny of it. The medallion resembled a scorpion. The chain of the necklace was pure silver. The scorpion was pure gold except for its eyes. They were rubies. It looked… evil somehow.
“Thank you!” she said turning back to normal, “Thanks for the medallion.”
“No problem…” said Link with a confused look on his face. He wondered why Zelda examined it so closely.
***
Michael saw the soldier at the entrance to Hyrule Castle.
“Let me in!” he demanded.
“Where’s your gift?” asked a soldier.
“What gift?” said Michael.
“You have to have a gift. If you don’t have a gift for the princess we can’t let you in.”
“You will let me in!” said Michael.
“Go ahead and try!!” said the soldier to the right of Michael. The soldiers both pointed their spears at Michael’s face and started to snicker.
“Oh I love killing.” said the soldier on the left.
“I hate people who kill for pleasure” said Michael with a grim face.
“Oh well,” said the soldier on the right, “you’ll be even more fun.”
“I don’t think so!” said Michael. He pulled out his sword. When he was drawing his sword the soldiers quickly tried to drive their spears into his rib cage. Michael swiftly dodged it and hit the soldier on the left (we’ll call him soldier A and the one on the right we’ll call soldier B) with the hilt of his sword. He fell to the floor unconscious. Then soldier B tried attacking Michael again. Michael did a parry move and struck soldier B in the back with the hilt of his sword. He fell to the floor in pain, Michael then hit him on the head and he became unconscious.
Michael walked into the castle and saw the party going on. He wandered through the crowds looking for the king so he could kill him. He found the king speaking to a few officials. He drew his sword and from behind and he put it to the king’s neck.
“Wha-what is going on here?” the king quickly said beginning to sweat.
“You took over Endfall.” said Michael through an angry face and gritted teeth.
“What is Endfall?” asked the king his face beginning to turn read.
“Don’t play stupid with me!” said Michael putting his sword closer to the king’s neck.
By now all the people at the party were looking at the show, the king, threatened by a teenaged boy with a blue tunic.
“Hey, get away from him!” yelled Link taking a sword off the wall. It took him both hands to hold it but he had the confidence to face up to him. I destroyed the king of evil and I can destroy you, he said.
“Get away from me you parasite!” yelled Michael hitting Link away from him. Link held onto his sword and he flung it at Michael yelling with rage. Michael clasped the blade between his hands and twisted it quickly. Sending Link flying from the sword. Michael grabbed the sword and threw it onto the wall where even the strongest man couldn’t pull it out.
Link got to his feet immediately and took out another smaller sword and shield. Both he could hold in his hand but they looked rather awkward.
“Will you stop already!?!?” said Michael grabbing Link by the neck and flinging him to the wall.
Link could barely breathe but it was still possible. One thing was for certain. He was no longer strong enough to fight for the day.
Zelda ran to his side and tried to help him up. Link had an angry look on his face and he wiped away the blood on his mouth.
But it was too late for Michael. The king drew his sword and put it near his neck.
But this didn’t affect him. Michael took out his bow and hit the king in the stomach with its tip. The king bent over in pain.
Michael drew his bow and said, “If nobody tells me how the heck you took over Endfall, I will kill you all.”
Nobody knew, they were all saying things like, “what is Endfall?” and “I’ve never heard of that place before.” But then Zelda quickly answered it saying, “Endfall is an ancient land of legend.” “I’ve read about it before in the Hyrule library fascinated by its culture and how it came to be.”
Michael and Zelda looked at each other for a while and then he said. “You, boy and the princess, come with me.”

Tales of the time passed
Michael asked Link, “Where’s your home?”
“I don’t have on anymore.” he replied.
“Why?”
“Because the Kokiri kicked me out, they found out that I was really a Hylian and then a boy named Mido said I wasn’t supposed to leave. I whacked Mido good, now Saria hates me and I can’t go back without me being pushed back out.”
“I thought that you were a Kokiri.” said Zelda barging into the conversation.
“No, I never told you this but you probably know that I am the hero of time.”
“Of course I knew it all makes sense. The evil man Ganondorf comes, he disappears and you just suddenly reappear, it’s obvious.”
“Yeah, I thought you knew. But you didn’t know I was a Hylian yet.”
“No I didn’t.” said Zelda.
“Let’s go to your place.” said Michael looking down at Link. “I’ll talk the people out of it.”
“Whatever, I don’t want to live there anyway.” said Link disappointed. “Saria said she loved me, I then told her I was a Hylian and said it would never work.”
“Really,” said Michael, “I had a girl once. She died though.”
“Oh, that’s sad,” said Zelda, “was she murdered or did she have a disease?” “Neither,” said Michael, “I’ll explain it all as soon as we get to this house Link was telling us about.”
It had stopped raining but the thunder and lightning was still going on.
They finally got to the Kokiri forest and by the looks of it the place was distraught. People were all around Mido, who for some reason was still on the floor.
“Get away from here!” said Saria towards Link. “I don’t want you here anymore.”
Now it was Link’s turn to ignore Saria. They walked up the ladder into the small hut carved into the tree.
“So I was explaining that my girl didn’t die of anything you suggested. She died of old age. I met her at age fifteen and now she died at age eighty-seven.”
“That’s not possible!” said Zelda. “How do you still look that good?”
“That’s what I’m wondering, I’m one hundred thousand years old.”
“That’s a lot of candles to fit on a cake.” said Link.
“I don’t make cakes.” said Michael taking out his loaf of bread and taking an enormous chomp. “You want some?” said Michael pointing the remainder of the loaf of bread at Link’s face.
“No thanks.” said Link, “I want to keep my dinner.”
“Oh, I see.” said Michael. “Now tell me, what the heck ever happened to Endfall.”
“I don’t know.” said Link, “I know one thing for certain though. If you are one hundred thousand years old then you must be an Enfaillan.”
“That’s right.” said Zelda. “Do you know how much money we could get just for knowing that one of the sacred, legendary, and ancient Enfaillans are still alive today?”
“I don’t really care about money.” said Link. “All I need to survive. Oh I kept the sword.” said Link. “I should return it but I don’t think the king would forgive me.”
The sword looked almost perfect. It had a two-foot long blade and the hilt had the symbol of the triforce and the handle’s color was aquamarine.
“So, tell me, how did Endfall die?” asked Michael.
“Well the legends say that they had a massive war with an evil man. There were massive gatherings of evil in that land but one day a man came and stopped the evil. The steward gained immediate trust but that ended up killing him. After that they say the evil lands just took over, we know one thing though. The steward, he was no weakling. He was the ruler of Endfall and his servant was the ultimate dragon of the legends. This dragon could defeat the goddesses without even breaking a sweat… if it could sweat that is.”
“Most of the stuff you told me I already knew.” said Michael. “Such as the steward part but I didn’t know the man killed the steward. What happened to the dragon though, where is it now?”
“They say that it is guarding the Fountain of Youth, said Zelda. A sacred fountain that only few were able to drink, and I bet you are one of them.”
“I bet I am, and if not then I must really be handsome for my age!” said Michael sarcastically.
“Shut up.” said Link. “You are no better looking than I am.” he said sarcastically.
“Both of you shut up.” said Zelda beginning to giggle a little at what Link said.
“I actually made her laugh!” thought Link to himself, “yes!”
“Okay, so what was this evil guy’s name.” asked Link.
“I think it was Dia-something.” said Michael with a confused look on his face. He was trying to remember.
“Dia… Diatheleser,” said Michael with a confident look on his face. “That’s his name.”
“And that’s not the only thing, said Zelda. People that turn evil die, yes they die but their spirit lives on, trying to get what they always wanted, and I have no idea what he wanted this time. “
“I don’t either.” said Link.
“I have a hunch.” said Michael with his eyes squinted, “I bet it’s the fountain of youth he’s after.”
“Well I could have guessed that!” said Link with a duh expression.
“Well the fountain of youth does no good to him. It just makes you live forever, said Zelda.”
“That’s the point.” said Michael. As soon as the king died his servant dragon I bet killed Diatheleser. So now he has some sort of minion that has a whole army that will do anything for the fountain of youth, so he can live again, so he can conquer his land, the land that he tried to get.
“That makes sense.” said Link. “But why don’t you just go to heaven? I mean don’t waste your time just trying to rule the world when you can have a perfect life in heaven, in the sacred realm.”
“You will understand… some day.” said Michael staring blankly outside through the door.
“So we have to stop this army from getting to the fountain of youth.” said Zelda.
“Exactly,” said Link, “but we have to find the person that Diatheleser has demented, that’s when we can really start our mission.”
“I can do nothing…” said Zelda rather disappointedly.
“Of course you can!” said Michael, “I’ve got some spells that you might want to learn.”
“Really!!!??” said Zelda almost ecstatic.
“Absolutely,” said Michael. “You will just going to have to do a bit of reading.”
“I can deal with that,” she said, “I’m good at reading anyways.”
“Good, here,” said Michael taking out a large book from his bag. “The beginning spells are near the end and it’s in Enfaillan language, my parents gave this to me when I was three.”
“What happened to your parents?” asked Link.
“I… I have no idea.” said Michael. “I’m here looking for them, but I guess it’s all over. I think they’re dead.”
“It’s okay.” said Zelda putting her hand on Michael’s. Michael quickly pulled it away and gave Zelda a “don’t do that ever again” look.
“You shall die.” hissed something from outside.
Zelda and Link quickly turned around to the door and went to look outside.
I’ve heard that hiss before, said Michael still staring blankly at the floor. I guess it follows me around, knowing that I’m the last Enfaillan and knowing that I’m on this planet to kill it!
“What… what was that?” asked Link.
“I don’t know who that was. I just know he or she follows me and is here to hunt me down. It’s best now that you stay near me at all times because it will hunt you down now also.”
***
Meanwhile at the palace of darkness on a small mountain North of death mountain:
“Sir, I have just been informed that we have found the last Enfaillan.” said a monster to a tall shadowed figure. “But it is not the last. There is another near here.”
“Hunt him down and kill him. We cannot have any Enfaillans living.” said the shadowed figure.
So obviously I no longer live in the village and I have left for shelter away from my last home. I have found a room offering in Lon Lon ranch and I am there right now.
Five horsemen in total black hoods are riding out of the palace, beginning to search for the last Enfaillans that might challenge them to get to the fountain of youth.
***
“We need to go.” said Michael packing some more bread from Link’s storage area.
“Hey that’s my food!” said Link.
“I’m packing it for all of us.” Michael said, “I’m not doing this for myself. We won’t be coming back home for a while.”
Then all of a sudden the Kokiri forest turned black and there was dim light. You could hear a horse neighing into the Kokiri forest.
“Link, Zelda, get down.” said Michael quickly.
They didn’t, they were too scared to move.
“That’s an order!” Michael drew his sword and slowly walked outside. He saw the red eyes of the horse, and jumped down with a large swing. The horse quickly backed off and the hooded figure climbed off. It drew its sword, which had a dragon shaped hilt, and the sword was totally black.
The figure swung its sword at Michael’s head. He did a back flip and easily avoided the strike. He then did a jump attack and the hooded figure jumped back only to do its own jump attack.
Michael did a parry move and struck the beast in the back and then it disappeared. Then there was a loud shriek and then light came back. The sun was beginning to rise.
“I would never have been able to move that quick!” said Link with wide eyes.
“Well, you’ll learn.” said Michael with a grin on his face.
”What the heck was that?” asked Zelda with a scared look on her face.
“That was one of the beast’s many servants. They don’t have a name, you can call them grackles because the do make a crackling noise at times. The have horrible sense of smell. They appear in mists. Mists come to an area and it just appears out of it. You’ll see more enemies like this one, but none as hard as this one.
“We need to go now.” said Link putting his bags on his belt.
“I’m nervous.” said Zelda, “How will I fend off those things.”
“Well, read!”
“Oh, forgot about that.”
***
Zelda went back to the castle to get her things. She explained to her father that Michael wasn’t a bad person and that he just had a homeland that now disappeared and the goddesses apparently made Hyrule over the remaining chaos that was Endfall.
“So where are we going?” said Zelda trying to catch up to Link and Michael who were about ten feet ahead of her.
“We’re going city through city trying to find something unusual. If there is something unusual, we investigate it and see if it has anything to do with Diatheleser. If it does have something to do with Diatheleser, we catch it, ask questions, and then execute it. And then we investigate some more with the information we have.”
“That makes sense.” said Zelda.
“Good, because I’m not explaining it again.”
An Unsuspected Prophecy by SPartan 119
An unsuspected prophesy
The group has been traveling for a few days now. Zelda is no longer in her usual dress. She is wearing clothes that resemble Link’s. It is now the fifty-second hour they have been traveling. They’ve been walking through cities. Staying there for about two hours, nothing unusual happens, they move on. They’ve been in the villages Kethro, the village I used to live in, after that the next village was Lamen, the farthest south city and those are all the cities that have been visited so far.
Zelda is beginning to get a little tired after having walked over Hyrule’s southern hills. Link is even more tired because he’s been carrying weight. Michael is the least tired but he’s been carrying the most weight.
It begins to turn to night and Michael is becoming tired. He says one last thing before he goes to sleep though.
“Zelda,” he said, “that medallion will come in useful.”
“Thanks.” she said awkwardly.
Link was laying on a hill, looking at the stars, Zelda trips on a rock and lands on top of him. Zelda jumps off him and she begins to blush.
“Sorry.” she said embarrassed.
Link was also beginning to blush a little bit but he didn’t care. He lay back down to look at the stars again.
“People say… that you can prophesize the future by looking at the stars. I just haven’t gotten it yet.”
“I haven’t either,” said Zelda, “but I really think that it will help us… it will help us soon.”
“Everything manages to help us,” said Link. A one hundred thousand year old man who tried to kill the king is helping us. I’m thinking that a tree might help us next.
Zelda giggled at what he said, “I don’t think so, they don’t talk.” she said smiling.
“Oh well.” said Link trying to relax again.
Zelda snuggled up next to him and he began to blush. He tried to move but couldn’t because he was too afraid it would hurt her feelings, so he just went to sleep.
“Good morning, love birds!” said Michael looking down at Link and Zelda. “We need to go now so I suggest you get packing.”
Zelda jumped up and was blushing like crazy. Link was still half asleep. He got up and his eyes were half closed. Michael then punched Link across the face.
“Get up you lazy slob! We’ve got cities to investigate.”
“Link was finally fully awake but he sensed something was coming. He immediately looked south and saw a small amount of enemy soldiers coming.”
“Zelda I hope you studied a good amount of magic!” said Link drawing his sword.
“I have but I don’t have enough mind control to convey it to my hands!” she said worried.
“Well I suggest you start practicing,” said Michael. “You idiots get down!”
They hid within the tall grass that was surrounding them. Michael drew his bow and was ready to fire. Link still had his sword in hand, and Zelda was trying to practice to convey the magic to her hands. She finally succeeded in a small practicing magic called spark. A spark would fly in front of your face if you did it correctly. She finally completed it and got ready her spell called “implosion.” Judging by its name I bet you can guess what it does.
The soldiers were now within fifty yards of them and Michael finally shot his arrow. The other soldiers looked at the dying one and tried to identify where it came from. They then saw Zelda and attacked. Link jumped out from the reads and struck down one knight. Its arm fell off and it was lying on the floor screeching in pain.
Then Michael jumped out and struck another night with a side slash cutting off its head. Blood sprayed out from a main artery and you could see part of the larynx. This grossed Zelda out so she was picked up by a soldier and dragged off. But before they could drag her off she yelled implosion and the soldier’s insides were barfed up in some sort of red ooze. The soldier then dropped to the floor and died.
Meanwhile Link was having a hard time flinging his large sword around. Holding the sword with one hand annoyed him so he dropped his shield and used both hands. He hit one soldier in the gut with his hilt and then sliced its head off.
Michael was having a rather simple time slicing the brains out of some of the enemies. He was out of arrows by now so he just used his two axes as projectiles. He launched one ax and it hit the heart of a soldier making blood spray out from both ends of the axe. The other axe he flung around himself hitting a soldier in the neck and blood sprayed out of there too.
After about four minutes of battling Link and Zelda were almost completely tired out. Zelda because her nerves were stinging painfully from using all those spells, and Link was tired because it was exhausting lodging that sword into armor. Link and Zelda looked like they were about to die of exhaustion. Zelda was battling a large soldier and she ran out of the nerves to summon magic, she collapsed to the floor in pain.
Link was swinging his sword about uselessly trying to have the luck to hit the soldier that was about to hit him. It didn’t work though. The soldier drew up his sword and brought it down to Link. Link was quick enough though to pick up his shield and defend himself. The shield shattered, the soldier’s sword flung, and Link’s arm nearly broke.
Michael was busy helping Zelda in battle and then he saw Link. He grabbed Zelda and threw her back to where she would be safe. He ran up to Link and dragged him off. Michael grabbed Zelda and then they were off to Central Hyrule.
“H-how can you fight that?!?! asked Zelda about to break into tears. “I nearly died!”
“Yeah,” said Link. “I’ve been practicing sword fighting for weeks and still I am nowhere near as good as you.’
“First,” said Michael. “Zelda, you need to practice your magic more and if that doesn’t work, then here.” He handed Zelda a large knife about three fourths of a foot long. She sheathed it and then put it on her belt. “Second, Link, you are not an adult. And you haven’t been practicing for near as long as I have, so don’t worry about it.”
***
Link, Zelda, and Michael reached the Kakariko village and then saw something that was hard to miss. It was noon when they walked up the stairs and it was night when they got to the village, not only that it was storming like crazy. Most of the people clearly evacuated but some people like the old hag that sells you the blue potion stayed.
“Yeah, I can clearly see we’ve got work to do here.” said Michael.
“I didn’t know that!” said Zelda sarcastically.
***
“Sir, we have spotted the second Enfaillan,” said the monster. “He is in the village we have recently taken over.”
“Well… what are you waiting for? Go kill him!” said the tall figure.
Five more knights of the same type of last time rode out of the dark palace. This time, they knew where he was.
“Sir,” said the monster again, “we have to go now. If you want to destroy him yourself, then we will go.”
No, said the tall figure, I will let my master kill him.
The tall figure walked over though the large door behind him. There you could see an abnormally wide staircase that lead upward to what looked like an infinite abyss. The tall figure warped from one end of the staircase to the other. Then you could see an extremely tall door that was easily fifty yards tall. He saw two soldiers and said the password “Thrella, Athaldu, Menora Hera” meaning, death, night, and the infinite darkness.
The soldiers opened the door with all their strength and it budged about one inch per five seconds. As soon as the door was large enough for the figure to enter a gust that was visible blew out from the doors, it was pitch black. The figure entered and then there was an extremely tall, wide, and long room. The height was easily two hundred yards. The width was one hundred yards. And the length was three hundred yards.
The tall figure reached a large thrown with elegant designs on it, such as a dragon vs. a knight. The dragon had elegant gold scales with red eyes and a white belly. The soldier was wielding a sword that resembled the dragon and a little to the left of the battle was a fountain, a large fountain with more elegant designs to small to specify.
“What… is… it?” hissed a horrible voice.
“Sir,” said the tall figure, “we have found the last Enfaillan. He is in a small village called Kakariko. The one you recently told us to take over.”
“Yes,” said the horrible voice again, “Well have you conquered the city?”
“With the greatest of ease sir, but, Enfaillans are supposed to be exceedingly well battlers and he might pose a threat to our forces there.”
“Well then move”!!!!!!!!!!!! yelled the voice, we can’t have that disgrace defeat our post! We will attack at dawn tomorrow.
“Um, sir, we already have sent five of our Thrella knights.” said the figure.
“Argh!!!!!!!!!!!” screeched the voice, “why do you always do things before I give you permission too, you always do this!”
“I’m terribly sorry sir!” said the tall figure cowardly and then retracting to a smaller size, "it will be taken care of sir."
“Good,” said the horrible voice again. “Call back our soldiers immediately.”
“Yes sir,” said the figure turning taller again, “it will be done!”

Michael, Link, and Zelda found a place to stay during the night. It was Impa’s old house. Michael and Link slept on the floor while Zelda slept on a bed. As soon as Michael and Zelda were asleep, Link went out to figure out what was happening.
He went outside and it was around mid-night. Link saw a door opened and decided to go investigate.
Inside was a shadowed figure in a hooded robe.
“Come,” said the voice that you could easily tell was an old woman. “Come and I will show you what your future holds. “
Link walked a little closer to the desk with the crystal ball on it and was wondering who this was.
“Come,” said the old lady again. “And I will show you your future.”
Link got to the desk and was a little bit scared as he saw the red eyes again. He could tell that this was the lady that sold him the necklace. He got closer and closer until he saw a skeleton’s face.
Link stumbled backwards and let out a small yelp.
“Do not be afraid,” said the skeleton, “I am here to tell you your future.”
“You shouldn’t be here,” said Link. “The town is almost completely taken over.”
“The town is just sleeping,” said the skeleton. “Now, put your hands on the crystal ball and tell me what you see.”
Link looked into the ball and saw nothing but the smoke swirling inside it.
“There’s just smoke,” said Link. “Nothing else.”
“Look harder.” said the skeleton.
Link squinted and concentrated on the swirls inside the ball and a figure came about. In the ball Link could see Michael being burned at the stake. Link was being shipped and forced to carry a large rock to a fortress. And Zelda, oh this was the bad one. Zelda was being raped by a tall figure. Then she was whipped and thrown the floor to be stoned until there was almost no energy in her.
Link tore away his gaze from the ball in tears. He was in the fetal position and was weeping like crazy.
“Do not feel sorrow.” said the figure.
“Why not!?!?!?” yelled Link, “this is my future. I’m going to be tortured along with all of my friends. You have no idea what pain feels like do you!”
“Not everything you see will come to pass,” said the skeleton. “This is only in your mind. This is what you think will come to pass, but I know it.”
The skeleton then put it’s hand on the crystal ball and looked into it. It then looked up at the ceiling and screeched. “Pain will come to this miserable town. All the remaining people will feel the wrath of the great devil king. The earth will shake and people will scream. Tonight all must leave, for tonight is the night…”
After the skeleton had said that it disappeared. Link got every word that it had said and then ran back to the house.
Michael, Zelda, he yelled. We need to leave… now!”
The Will of the Great Prince by SPartan 119
The will of the great prince
The next morning Michael, Link, and Zelda were gone. They didn’t have time to eat so Link and Zelda were starving.
“I’m hungry,” complained Link. “We haven’t eaten anything in a day.”
“I’m hungry too,” said Zelda. “We need to stop.”
“We don’t have time to stop,” said Michael. “If what Link said is true then they’ll be looking in Kakariko all day long. And when they don’t find us they will be searching around the whole area surrounding Kakariko.”
“We can have a two-minute break!” said Link.
“Why don’t you eat while you’re walking?” said Michael.
“Because we need a break. We need to sit for like a minute at least.” said Zelda.
“You guys are annoying me,” said Michael. “Hey, fine. If you want to stop, go ahead. I’m not following your act.”
Zelda and Link both gave an angry look. They might have been angry but they kept following him.
***
“Sir,” said the monster, “we have seen no signs of the Enfaillan. I think they might have left.”
“Nonsense,” said the tall figure, “they didn’t know we were coming.”
Then a shadow walked toward the two. It was pitch black but you could see what was behind it.
“All hail the great devil king!” said the monsters surrounding him, they bowed before him.
It was the same person that was at the throne room the day before. He is the great devil king Diatheleser.
“Where is the Enfaillan? And if you have found him bring him to me.” said Diatheleser.
“Um, sir,” said the figure, “we have not found him. We knew that these were his whereabouts but we have not seen him. We believe that he has eluded us.”
“What!?!?!?!” yelled Diatheleser. “You have failed me again Merthes! This time I will show no mercy!” Diatheleser raised his arm and in his hand appeared a mace. He struck down Merthes, and in the mist of the strike, Merthes was no more.
“He was far to annoying and uncontrollable to let live.,” said Diatheleser calmly. “Come, we must find the Enfaillan and destroy him before he claims the fountain.”
“The fountain, if only I could have one sip of it. Then I would be an unstoppable force. Few can defeat me now, and even fewer if I have touched the fountain. And if I have drunken the water within it, then I shall become truly unstoppable. I will reign over all of Endfall…no. The world will be at my fingertips. If only I had one sip of the sparkling waters of the fountain. Then… only then will I be a menace to all peace lovers. And then… Endfall shall become mine forever more. They shall know the true meaning of pain!!!!”
These were the thoughts that always flowed through Diatheleser’s mind. He thought of nothing else than control of the entire universe.
Many of the beasts left Kakariko Village to kill Michael. They found the tracks that led to them. They would be an easy pray.
***
Michael, Link, and Zelda had set up camp that night. It was almost as southern as you could get on the map.
Zelda had already gone to sleep but Michael and Link were still up. Michael was trying to go to sleep but Link was about thirty yards away from the camp.
Michael saw Link and he walked over to him.
“What is it Link?”
“Oh nothing,” he said. “It’s just that I can’t… I can’t see why we have to do this. What will it do to us?”
“Did you see Kakariko? Do you want that to happen all over Hyrule, going all throughout it and never being able to let your guard down? Do you want that to happen to you?”
“Oh, I thought that Kakariko just had a bad storm or something. I never would believe that evil had taken over the city… again.”
“Well now you get it. I figured this out just days ago and now it seems like I’ve known it for thousands of years!” said Michael. “I never would have guessed that Endfall was destroyed.” Michael then had a disappointed look on his face. “I wish I could see my parents. I don’t know where they are and I’m not going to stop looking until I find them.”
“You can’t die of old age,” said Link.
“I know,” said Michael, “but I want to die someday. It’s very saddening seeing all your friends around you die, I’ve never cried about it but I’ve never forgotten the memories of my old friends that have passed away.”
In between there was a long silence.
“Hey,” said Michael, “do you like Zelda.”
Link began to blush a little. “Of course not!!!!!” yelled Link. “She’s the one that snuggle up to me!!!!”
“Oh, you’re using the word snuggled,” said Michael, “very cute.”
“Shut up!!” yelled Link, “harrumph, I’m going to bed.”
Good night, said Michael staring up at the stars.
“If only my father would have defeated Diatheleser, all this trouble would have been passed by tens of thousands of years ago. But no, the heart of my father was easily corrupted and he fell into temptation. If only he wasn’t so stubborn, then maybe, the earth would be at peace. But it is too late now. Doom will set in…”
These were some of the things Michael thought, he was ashamed that his father had lost the battle thousands of years ago. Michael’s mother, the queen, had fled. And now Michael wanted to look for her, but she was probably already killed.
Michael stayed up all night. As soon as morning broke, he set out… alone. This was before Link and Zelda woke up, this is how Michael wanted it to be, he wanted to be alone on his quest. He did not want to be followed.
Link slowly opened his eyes to see the fire have been put out, Zelda asleep, and Michael gone. Link jumped up from the floor and looked for Michael. He wasn’t anywhere to be found.
He pushed Zelda awake.
“Zelda, Michael’s gone,” said Link.
“Mmmmm” mumbled Zelda trying to remain asleep, “not now Impa, five more minutes.”
Link was getting really nervous by now. They were left absolutely defenseless. If an enemy were to attack, which could be very likely, then they were probably going to get killed.
Link dragged Zelda until she woke up.
“What is your problem!?” asked Zelda getting off the floor.
“Michael… is gone,” said Link a little angry.
“You’re joking right,” said Zelda, “I mean, he wouldn’t leave two defenseless ten year olds somewhere on Hyrule field… would he.”
“He didn’t think we were defenseless,” said Link. “I mean… he might think you were, but I would probably be here to defend you.”
“Gee, thanks,” said Zelda smiling.
“Don’t get too comfortable,” said Link. “I’m not always going to be at your side. Sometimes I could be beaten down and you would be left to defend me. And heck, maybe I could die. So you still have to train.”
“Aww, come on,” said Zelda. “I’m sick and tired of training all the time.”
“Get over it!” said Link. “You’re going to have to learn someday. Do you still have the book with you?”
“Yes,” said Zelda pulling the book out of her belt bag.
Link let out a large sigh. He remembered that Michael was talking about his parents the night before. He knew that he was going to go look for them before he would help again.
“Is something wrong?” asked Zelda putting her hand on his shoulder.
Link quickly brushed off the hand. “Leave me alone. I’m not in the mood for… that kind of stuff.”
“Oh, sorry,” said Zelda.
Link and Zelda would go into Hyrule Market that day to find out more of Diatheleser’s whereabouts.
***
“I knew that I shouldn’t have left them. But I need to figure out more about Diatheleser, it’s the only way I can concentrate. And it’s the survival of the fittest anyway. They should be able to take care of themselves. I just wish I could have seen my mother before the battle. But it’s too late for that. I have to go find her. And I will never rest until I have completed that.”
Michael thought these things while on his way to an old village in East Hyrule. As he entered the town he could easily tell it was a ghost town. There was nobody left here except a few stray rats. He walked into an old building and in it he saw rows upon rows of shelves with books on them. He pulled out a book and its title was “Apocalyptic Studies.”
Michael thought this was interesting. Maybe this had some answers of what was to come. He opened the book and inside was a map. A map so familiar to him he knew it like the back of his hand. It clearly showed Endfall… or what it once was.
Michael felt a tear slowly slipping down his face. He missed it all. His land, his father, his mother, and most of all… I won’t say it.
He wiped it off and he looked down at his tear. He then started crying. Tears were falling down his face one by one, each hitting his arm. He collapsed to the floor still crying and then regained his composure. Instead of being depressed he was angry. “Diatheleser,” he said, “you will pay!”
He forgot all about his anger, sadness, and hatred. He looked into the book for what he originally intended for. He found a chapter called “The Key”.
This is how it read: Chapter 492 The Key
“The Key, an odd name for a chapter of “Apocalyptic Studies” but it is one of the main studies. As you may know from the chapters you have past read that the two ultimate essences of life are the Fountain of Youth and the Philosopher’s Stone. Both of which have never been found.
The Key is actually a scorpion made of gold. It is an ancient scorpion. It is the oldest living creature on the planet. Surviving millions of years in its dormant stage. It awakes to its master’s call. The master of course is a creature not of this world. But we know that it makes the Gods look like an ant in comparison.
It is said that when the “Scorpion of Antheral”, as it’s current name, is put into a certain key hold that it fits perfectly into that a door will open. A doorway to the fountain of youth will be opened. And also the scorpion is very helpful with creating and/or finding the Philosopher’s Stone, but more on that in chapter 999.
The fountain of youth… people might find this just a myth or might say that living forever is a curse brought to you from the devil. Many people have searched for it. And many have gone mad on their quest. Only three people to this day have ever drank the fountain’s sparkling water. They are of the royal family. The two of them have died, the other is said to have lived on in a separate land, but more on that in chapter 1093 (this book is massive).
Little is known about this marvelous spectacle. Many say that the person that has drunk it is myth or has died. Nobody knows for sure. But if ever we find him… he will explain all that has happened in Endfall.”
***
“C’mon you need to try harder than that!” said Link with an angry look on his face.
“Sorry,” said Zelda trying to regain her breath, “it’s just that you have to put so much of your strength into your magic that you have almost absolutely no power after practicing.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” said Link. “We’ve practiced for three hours today.” It was becoming sunset so Zelda naturally must have been pooped. She collapsed to the floor in almost complete exhaustion.
She wanted to go to sleep right there and she did. She was just so tired from all the work she had been doing that it seemed okay to go to sleep. Link went to sleep right beside her.
***
The scorpion necklace… Zelda has that and that is the key. But where is the fountain located. I need to know that. Michael thought these things to himself while he was looking for another book. He found another one that was titled “Hidden Treasures”.
Inside it didn’t say anything about the fountain but it did tell the location of where you could find out more. South of the village of Kethro there is a shrine the worshipped the ancient gods of Amnir. Amnir was the all-powerful god that was the ancient ruler of Endfall. It says that Amnir was the person that had created the fountain. There was great detail on the stone tablet there but it would take some effort to get there.

Link woke up at about nine A.M., something was wrong. The sun was up but it was very dim. He remembered that time in the Kokiri Forest. “Oh crap,” he thought to himself. “Zelda wake up!”
Zelda got up extremely quickly fired her warm up spark. She knew that something was wrong. She got in a position where she could launch as much magic as she could in one blow.
A horse came out of a thick mist. There was crackling noises coming from it. On it was a hooded figure. Link could obviously tell what this was. He drew his sword. He got ready for a good blow and attacked. He missed the knight but hit the horse. The horse disappeared and the knight drew its sword. The knight hit Zelda and she became unconscious.
“Oh shit, I’m in trouble!” said Link to himself.
He attacked the knight one more time but the knight just hit him back making Link lose his sword. He took out the Megaton Hammer that he could barely lift and tried striking the knight. He missed again but this time the Knight showed no mercy. It struck Link on the face with one of its massive claws. And it lodged Link’s right arm into the floor with the blade. Link let out a loud scream. He couldn’t bare it. He was too weak and to hurt to move.
“Prepare to meet your destiny,” hissed the Knight.
Link closed his eyes knowing that he would not last through this final blow. He knew that he was losing a lot of blood through his arm being stabbed so even if he were saved he’d probably still die.
The Knight pulled out his blade from Link’s arm.
Link let out a loud shriek signifying his pain. He cried and cried. He wanted it to stop.
“No… I want to live! I don’t want to die,” yelled Link tears still coming down his face.
Michael pulled into the air and did a spin attack in midair. It hit the Knight and it backed off. “Get away… from my student!!!” said Michael clearly ticked off.
The Knight did a jump attack. Michael did a parry move and struck the Knight in the back. The Knight didn’t give up. It attacked Michael again but didn’t succeed. Michael dodged it and did a jump attack. The Knight dodged it and tried striking Michael with its own parry move. Michael blocked it and finished the Knight off.
Than… thanks for… for coming back, said Link with a stutter in his voice.
You need to get that heeled said Michael putting his hands on the cut. He closed his eyes and a glow came from his hands.
Link felt extreme pain there. This hurt even more than when the Knight removed the sword. He screamed in pain.
“Sorry,” said Michael, “but you don’t want to die now do you?”
Michael removed his hands and all that was there was a scab.
“Thanks,” said Link, “I really appreciate it.”
“Nah, I got tons of ‘em,” said Michael with one eye closed. “You just haven’t seen me use them. Listen, Zelda,” he said pulling her off the ground and regaining her consciousness.
“What is it,” she asked.
“Let me see the medallion.”
The Temple of the Key by SPartan 119
The temple of the key
“Just like I thought,” said Michael examining the medallion.
“What is it?” asked Zelda. “Is there something wrong with it? Is it some kind of powerful element?”
“The powerful element is correct,” said Michael tearing away is gaze. “This thing is so powerful it can eliminate the gods. Link, where did you get this Medallion?”
“I got this at a stall in Hyrule Market,” said Link immediately. “I doubt this can eliminate the gods.”
“It says so in a book I read at a ghost town,” responded Michael. “This is how I remember it. Endfall was much more beautiful than Hyrule ever could be. Its design was almost flawless. Evil kings became jealous and wanted to control the land for their own greedy wants. Then one day somebody I didn’t trust named Diatheleser came into the kingdom and removed all the other evil forces. He eliminated the steward… my father, and took control of Endfall. It was all chaos. Amnir I guess just decided to let Diatheleser take over Endfall. But he allowed it only for a short time. Because after about ten years he let his dragon loose onto the land and it destroyed Diatheleser. Though Diatheleser’s human form was eliminated his spiritual form lived on. So the land was evil. He was too weak to keep control of Endfall so all he could do was hope that no one would take it over before he would. But people did indeed take it over. And that is where your gods came and recreated Hyrule in their name.”
“Are you sure?” said Zelda, “because this seems like you made it up.”
“He couldn’t have made it up,” said Link. “It’s so well designed that… I just can’t believe it. This is how it had to happen.”
“No,” retaliated Zelda, “I won’t believe it. How can I believe you? How do I know you aren’t making this up? I believe what I’m going to believe in and that is the three gods, Nayru, Farore, and Din.”
“I can’t blame you,” said Michael, “that’s what you were born believing and I can’t relieve you from it. But now that you had the chance to believe in Amnir he will not take you to heaven. As soon as you have the chance then you must believe.”
“I will not believe this until I have literal, physical, and spiritual proof.”
“Good, then I guess you won’t mind coming with me to an old temple,” said Michael.
“You mean that old shrine that no one was able to interpret?” said Zelda lifting one eyebrow.
“Yep, that’s the one,” said Michael.
***
“Your majesty, we have found the absolute current location of both Enfaillans. One is currently headed toward Kethro and the other is staying at a ranch near the center of Hyrule,” said the monster in front of a shadowed figure.
“Endfall!!!!!! shrieked the horrible voice, It is Endfall, how many times do I have to tell you!!!!
“Oh please forgive me your majesty,” said the monster in fear.
“You’re right, I am merciful, and you are lucky that you have not received the same consequences as Merthes. It would be a pain for you to go to hell. But there is no current leader there and as soon as I take over Endfall I shall relieve my post unto you for being my most loyal servant.”
“Thank you sire,” said the monster.
“You are excused,” said the figure. “And make sure you close the door as soon as you leave.”
“Yes your majesty,” said the monster and he left.
***
That night Link was lying on the floor just looking at the stars. “I wonder if what Michael said is true? What if there really is one all-powerful god that created all. What would people think if I told them this? Would they think I’m an idiot? I don’t know what to believe.”
“Link, food!” called Michael.
“I’ll be there in a sec,” said Link. “He continued to gaze at the stars.”
“Get over here!”
“Okay, okay,” said Link getting up.
After dinner Link walked back to the place he had been earlier. He lay back down in the exact position and place he was earlier. He slowly closed his eyes.
He had a dream. Michael was on top of a hill ahead of him. “Michael!” Link called. All Michael did was look back and said, “believe,” then the voice changed but the sentence continued, “for I am the almighty king. I have created the once thriving empire of Endfall and soon it will be restored.”
“How soon?” asked Link.
“You will have died by that time,” said the voice. “Then Link saw the figure. It was huge. It was a middle-aged man with no beard and he had a sheathed sword and a quiver of lightning bolts with a bow.”
“I don’t know what to believe,” said Link bowing his head.
“Do you believe now?” asked Amnir. “You have proof that I exist and if you wonder that this is only a dream I will tell you all of your life. In fact I can even tell you the things you do not remember”
“And what would that be?” asked Link.
“Your parents,” said Amnir. Link looked up at him with wide eyes.
“You know about my parents?” said Link, “then tell me, where are they now. Are they all right? Are they ill? Are they dead?”
“Yes they have died,” said Amnir. “It was because of a foul plague that ripped across Hyrule. They were one of its many victims.”
Link began to cry a little. He was always hoping that he still would have his parents alive. Or at least one, one would be enough.
“Do not weep for they are in heaven,” said Amnir. “They did not have a chance to believe so they were permitted to enter. But you have a much more heavy burden. Will you continue your old beliefs? Or will you believe the true one.”
“If my parents are really in heaven then allow me to see them,” demanded Link.
“As you wish, but you must return to your normal world after two minutes time,” said Amnir.
Link was teleported through a warp-hole and soon found himself in a field. It was very beautiful with the rising sun and he noticed that there was nobody around. He saw a figure in the distance though. It was a human… he noticed that. Link ran up to the figure and saw a very beautiful woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. She looked a little bit like Link but somewhat different.
“Mom?”
The woman smiled and nodded.
Link fell into her arms and he began to cry. I miss you so much, he said a little shaky. Is there any possible way to bring you back?
“Maybe,” said Link’s mom. “If there is, please do so. I want to see your father again.”
“Y-you mean d-dad’s s-still alive?”
“Yes, he was not affected by the plague, so he is still alive. I would have seen him by now if he were dead,” said Link’s mom.
“What’s dad like?” asked Link.
“He’s like… he’s much like you. You are more similar to him than to me. Oh-you don’t have much time left. I will see you again… son.”
Link began to have his eyes filled up with tears as the warp-hole carried him away. The last thing Link’s mother heard him say was “bye… I love you”.
Link woke up suddenly and he noticed that he was sweating.
“Is something wrong,” asked Zelda kneeling at his side.
“I… saw her,” said Link. “I… saw…”
“What’d you see?” asked Zelda getting a little worried about Link.
“I saw… mom, I saw mom.” said Link staring straightforward.
“You saw your mom, what did she look like?”
“She… I can’t describe her,” said Link slowly turning his head toward Zelda. “She was beautiful though.”
“Well how did you see your mom, it was a dream.”
“No, this wasn’t a dream. This was the real deal. I saw… Amnir. I saw him.”
“What,” said Michael barging into the conversation. “You saw Amnir!!!”
“Yes, he was a normal looking guy. Kind of like you. He carried a large sword and had a bow and a quiver full of lightning bolts.”
“That’s how he is described on the tablet,” Michael mumbled to himself. “We need to go… now!”
Link stood up and gathered his things. “Where are we going again?”
“Ugh, just… just follow us,” said Michael really annoyed by now.
They reached the old shrine and it looked beautiful. It was within a forest. There was a brick wall with vines going down it. There was a dried fountain and then there was an ancient tablet of stone to the right of the fountain.
“We’re going to have to wait until nightfall,” said Michael taking out a loaf of bread.
“Why?” Asked Link and Zelda in unison.
“The tablet’s inscription only appears during moonshine. You see the hole in that wall over there? That is where the moon shines through. Then we can really get cracking.”
“Um… do you have another one of those,” said Link pointing to Michael’s loaf of bread. “We haven’t eaten in um… days and… we’re like, you know… hungry.”
“Sure,” said Michael pulling out another loaf of bread. “And here’s one for you too. He passed another loaf of bread to Zelda.”
Link tried to begin to set up a campfire during sunset. “Don’t do that you idiot,” said Michael. “If you let another light burn other than the moon then the inscription won’t appear!”
“Okay sorry,” said Link stomping the fire out. “It takes a lot of work just to read an inscription that can’t be that long.”
The moon then appeared and its light shone through it. Writing so small appeared on the tablet. Michael put his hand on the tablet and another on a piece of paper. There was a bright glow on both hands and then writing appeared on the piece of paper. Michael read it out loud:
“The fountain of youth lies west of the ancient mountain of Amnir. This place is a large labyrinth so you will need a map to get through the area. A map is hidden within the temple of Amnir near here. It is hidden beneath a pile of lies, under the stream of hate.”
“What the hell is that supposed to mean!?” said Link in extreme confusion.” And this looked longer than that how come it is only so short.”
“That’s the enfaillan language,” said Michael. “This is how I learned it and this is how you will recognize it, by its length. Now let’s go, we have no time to lose.”
Michael saw a river there and in it were flowing many pieces of papyrus. Each of them had inscriptions on it that were all the same and Michael could not read them. He jumped in the water and saw a lot of dead bodies on the floor of the river.
“This is the river of lies. It’s aptly named!” said Michael to himself.
He jumped up out of the water and grabbed Link and Zelda by the feet and dragged them in.
The soon reached a cavern where they were able to breathe.
Michael looked around and saw a chest. He opened it and there was a map inside. It had absolutely no language on it of this earth. It was clearly the gods’ language. He stuffed it in his pocket and said, “Link, you need to go to sleep with this map in your pocket.”
Link walked back into heaven and saw Amnir one more time. “Amnir,” he asked, “can you interpret this.”
“Why certainly,” he said, “he examined the map and wrote it in Hylian language.”
“Thanks,” said Link, “he then went to see his mother again.”
He didn’t see her though. He walked for hours and hours and didn’t see anything. “Mom”, he called out but all he saw appear was Amnir.
“Your mother is no longer here,” he said. “She had moved on to the next realm. Her judgment has occurred and she is now in heaven.”
Link began to cry, he wanted to see his mother again but it wasn’t possible.
“If only she could wait a few more years then I could have resurrected her. But no… she was too much of a stubborn ass,” said Link with an angry expression and threw gritted teeth. “That bitch! He fell to his knees weeping harder than he ever had. I’m sorry mom, I really am. If only I could have seen you… one last time. Link was then carried off by the warp-hole.”
He woke up with tears in his eyes. He then hammered his fists into the floor with hatred. He began to cry again. “I miss you mom,” he whispered quietly,” I really… miss you.”
Zelda knelt down at his side.
“He’ll get over it,” said Michael. “He’d already experienced this once before he can make it through again.”
“But I’ve never seen him like this before,” said Zelda, “are you sure he’s okay?”
“Listen Link you will see her again. I will promise you that,” said Michael. “You have suffered many losses in your life and I cannot make you suffer much more.”
“H-how do y-you know I-I’ve suffered a lot?” said Link regaining his composure.
“I just know these things,” said Michael looking up at the early morning sky.
The sun hadn’t risen yet and already the group was back on their feet.
“Okay so the temple is this way,” said Michael pointing onto a large hill. “That’s the palace.”
“Good,” said Link, “because I am not stopping here.”
The Battle and the Fountain by SPartan 119
The Battle and the Fountain
They slowly entered the temple. There was a massive door and Zelda already knew what to do. She put her necklace in the key-hold and the door opened. Link and Zelda were getting uneasy feelings about a place like that but they moved on.
Anyway, Diatheleser and his army are walking into the caverns right behind the group. His strongest forces are walking with him and they split up. Diatheleser goes with two massive trolls and the others search the caverns.
Meanwhile I had to leave the ranch. I am now in the lakeside laboratory near Lake Hylia and I hope that they won’t find me.
Michael looked around on the map and saw the next way to go. He walked toward it with Link and Zelda on his tail. Link heard something behind them.
“What was that?” asked Link.
“I heard that too!” said Zelda.
“I thought so,” said Michael drawing his sword. “They wouldn’t let us off this easily. They just had to come. They always have to make it harder, huh.”
They saw the enemies come. There was the shadowed figure and the trolls.
“Get them!!!!!” shrieked the figure and the trolls attacked.
One headed for Link and the other for Zelda while Diatheleser attacked Michael.
Diatheleser did a hurricane spin and Michael jumped in the air and lowered his sword in a mid back flip to stop the spin. He then took out one of his throw axes and launched it at Diatheleser. He avoided each hit and attacked Michael with one of his extending claws.
Michael tried to block it with his sword but it went right through it.
“Pointy my little fingers now aren’t they?” said Diatheleser with an evil grin.
“Pointy yes,” said Michael, “but not sharp.” Michael twisted his sword and the finger broke off.
Diatheleser shrieked with pain. This was the opportunity for Michael to strike. He did a jump attack but Diatheleser avoided it. Diatheleser did a three-sixty spin in the air and launched knives in a perfect ring. Michael ducked to avoid the knives and then he took out one of his arrows and tried hitting Diatheleser. He avoided it and did a jump attack at Michael. Michael jumped back but Diatheleser’s sword extended and it nearly hit him but it didn’t.
Link avoided the troll’s punch and hit it in the arm with his sword. It screeched with pain and attacked him with its spear. Link slid under the troll avoiding the attack. He then gripped his sword tightly and hit the troll right between the legs. It fell to the floor in pain and Link stabbed it finishing it off.
Zelda was having a hard time. She fired an imploding spell at the troll but it avoided it and tried to strike her. She didn’t avoid it but cast up a shield spell. It relayed the spear giving her time to cast an explosion spell, which she did. It hit the troll and the explosion was minor because she was beginning to run out of energy. She fired another explosion spell and she was nearly out. The last thing she could do was fire one implosion spell. She did so and it missed. The troll picked her up by the neck and threw her against a wall.
Link was watching all that happened. He got clearly ticked off and said, “You son of a bitch!!!!”
The troll pulled out its club and tried hitting Link, it missed and blah, blah, blah.
The battle continued until they got into the main room where the fountain resided. There was the dragon sleeping right of Amnir’s throne. They didn’t notice it but they were in extreme danger.
Amnir saw what was going on and ordered the dragon spiritually to kill everything in the room except for, the children and the man in the blue tunic.
The dragon’s left eye opened. It crawled out from its groove in the floor and attacked the troll from the air. It took it high in the air and slammed it against the ground. Diatheleser fired up some dark lighting bolts and struck the dragon once or twice. This didn’t affect it though. The dragon swooped down and took him out with a white flame. The dragon then returned to his groove and fell asleep. The one troll Link had thought he had killed re-awoke and picked Link and Zelda up by the neck and through them in the fountain to drown them. They went so deep that the water was close to crushing them. Link tried to swim up. He reached halfway and tried to go further but he couldn’t. He accidentally swallowed some of the water and then he realized that this was the fountain. Zelda was unconscious so she couldn’t realize anything. As soon as she fell into the water she accidentally inhaled water, which she then swallowed. She awoke and swam up. She made it and noticed Link was unconscious. She swam down to him and picked him up out of the water.
“We need to destroy this fountain!” said Michael pulling out his sword. There was a jewel on top of the fountain that obviously kept the fountain’s water pure and magic. Michael ran to the top and struck the sword into the jewel. The fountain began to crumble and fall apart along with the cavern.
“We need to leave!” said Link regaining his consciousness. They couldn’t leave and they knew it. It took hours to get here and they couldn’t leave before it collapsed. Then a beam of light appeared from above the dragon. The dragon grabbed Link, Zelda, and Michael carried them outside.

“Thanks for the help,” said Michael shaking Link’s hand. “At last I can live my life without having the worries of Diatheleser. And hey, all three of us can be friends forever… literally!”
“Good-bye… friend,” said Link shaking Michael’s hand. “I hope to see you again someday.”
“You too,” said Michael. “He then left back to Perthemia.”
“I’m going to miss him,” said Zelda. “He really helped us a lot but the stars still haven’t helped us.”
“They will help us,” said Link looking at where Michael left. Michael was out of the range of sight.
“Are you sure,” asked Zelda.
“They will…”
Epilogue:
Link comes back to the Kokiri forest. It's quiet. No one knew where he had been. He knew he wouldn't be able to come back. He would have to find a new home.
***
It's five years after the incident with the Fountain of Youth. Link and Zelda have become good friends in those recent years. They have seen no sign of Michael. Nor heard or recieved any news of him. It seems like he has died.
Link has been invited to live in the castle for his help in destroying the devil. Though it would never be possible to completely relieve the devil of his life or his evil. He had done a pretty good job of sealing him away for the time being.
Though one menace was destroyed another problem occurs...
