Sanity's Awakening by JJS
Once Link was inside, the doors slammed shut behind him. He saw that he must follow the dirt road to get to the castle, but as he ran up the path, he was confronted by a giant gate. Once he saw it, the pain in his head returned. He looked at his surroundings, but all was exactly as it was before so he paid it no mind. He ran back to the door in which he entered, yet, it was not there. It had been replaced by vines. He reached his arm up and pulled on them. They seem sturdy, so he began to climb them. Once he reached the top, there was a path that seemed to lead to the top of the gate. As he reached the gate, a monster on the other side noticed him and charged. Link grabbed him and threw him off the top of the gate, then jumped off. He stabbed the monster in the heart with his sword, killing him. Link then got back up and began to run straight for the castle gate, but this time it is much smaller and has two monsters guarding it. Link pulled out his bow and shot a Fire Arrow at one of the monsters, then a Normal Arrow at the second monster’s head, killing them both. Link then climbed the fence and noticed a river running down the other side, so he followed it. He reached another door and tried to open it, but it was locked. Link pulled out his sword and begins to swing wildly at the door. The door was not able to withstand Links mighty blows and it crumbled. As he stepped in the door, he was confronted by a large stair case which seemed to lead to the next floor. He climbed in the hopes of reaching Ganondorf’s chamber soon.

He climbed the stairs which seemed, to him, would never end. In his mind, it seems he has been walking for hours, but in reality it had only been for a few minutes. As his anticipation grew, seconds turned to minutes in his mind, and minutes to hours, until he reached the door he has been destined to reach his entire life. As he reached for the handle, it occurred to him that this was the last thing he may ever do, fore beyond this door was the enemy that he has been destined to destroy since the beginning of time. This enemy has warped his mind, causing him to destroy all that he held dear. As he turned the handle and opened the door, his gaze is flooded by Ganondorf, who stood waiting as if he had been ready for this moment since birth.

As he stepped on to the floor that will eventually harbor the biggest battle of there life time, the door slammed behind him. It made it even more real knowing he now has no escape. As he unsheathed his Master Sword, the sword that will banish this evil from the world, he realized that Ganondorf has not moved the entire time he has seen him, yet Link didn’t care. He wanted to take Ganondorf’s life for how he had ruined his. Link charged at him, ready to complete his destiny and to finally rid his mind of the evil that has plagued it for so many horrible years. He swung at Ganondorf, who rolled out of the way and slashed Link in the back. Link crashed to the ground, paralyzed for a split second. When he regained his strength, he quickly got back to his feet, ready to continue. Ganondorf now went on the offensive and charged at Link, ready to destroy him and to gain ultimate power of the world. Their swords met with a massive explosion as the two struggled to knock the other’s sword from their hand. As the two struggled with one another, Ganondorf gave one last mighty push and knocked link off balance, giving Ganondorf enough time to thrust his sword in Links stomach. Ganondorf began to laugh as he has just destroyed the only person who was in the way of his conquest to rule Hyrule. However, with the last bit of strength Link had, he swung his sword at Ganondorf, cutting his throat and forcing him to fall backwards. He dropped Link to the ground with the sword still in his stomach. As Link looked at his fallen foe, he realized that it is not Ganondorf who lies before him dead, but was the King of Hyrule. Off in the distance, he heard Ganondorf’s laughter as he yelled "HA HA HA.........but you and I will know you as there eventual demise". Just then, monsters engulfed his body and started eating his fle... Link jumped up with a gasp. He felt to make sure he is ok. He realized he was in bed, and he felt movement to the left of him. As he looked over, he notices Zelda roll over and say "Did you have another bad dream, dear?"
