Sudden Meeting by Sage of Light
Aleno ran swiftly through the desert, seeing only through her squinted eyes. The desert was not a calm place, even at night. A large sandstorm was closing in on Aleno, and she was just barely escaping it. "I hope Seya listened to me," Aleno thought, seriously doubting it however. Her footprints quickly dissapeared as she reached a quarter of the way to the Colosuss.
A small, stone shealter would be her resting point for the night. She silently climbed down the ladder into the sandy celler type room. She was distressed by the sight of a group of soilders of Ganondorf King, sleeping in a circle, with none other than Edward Prince in the center. "How, how did he get here before me?" Aleno whispered. Edward stirred and sat up quickly. He slowly turned his head, searching the pitch-black room. Nothing. He saw nothing. He slowly lay his head back down on the hard stone and began to snore as loud as an Cow once again.
Aleno silently removed herself from a large stone hole within the wall of the tiny shealter. "Close..." she whispered. She climbed back out of the structure and raced quickly away from it. Back inside the room, Edward Prince smirked as he woke up his fellows and prepared to follow the Gerudo.
Seya saw ahead a small shealter, the same one which Aleno had just fled. Her energy, however, was leaving her body quickly and she passed out right in the middle of the sandstorm. A young man about her age, fourteen, found her and carried her out of the wasteland and farther away from danger.
Seya woke up on a small carpet, which was floating in the air. The sandstorm had vanioshed, but still the humid atmosphere of the desert remained. "Wh, where am I?" she asked quietly. The young man turned towards the Gerudo. She looked at him, startled. "Don't worry m'lady, you're safe now," the boy said with a smile. "M'lady? um... yeah, so, who are you?" Seya asked, feeling quite rude. "Me?" the boy asked stupidly. "Do you see anyone else here?" she snapped, becoming annoyed, and feeling less rude. "Well excuse me! I happen to be the one that saved you!" he shouted. "Save me? From what?" she asked angrily. "From the sandstorm, you would've been buried under a thick blanket of sand if I hadn't come along and saved you!" he said, smiling proudly, "I carried you from deep in the desert to the enterence of the Gerudo lands." "You mean at the back enterence of the Gerudo Fortress?" Seya asked quietly. "Yup!" the boy smiled, hoping she would now be grateful. He was insainly wrong. "YOU IDIOT!" Seya fumed, "I was heading for the Desert Colosuss! Now because of you, kid, I have to start over!" The boy winced slightly when she said the word "kid." "Who is this girl anyway?" he thought angrily. "Hey, who are you, and where do you get off calling me kid? And why were you going to the Colosuss, it's really dangerous out there, especially without an escort!" "My name is Seya, and I was going to the Colosuss because I..." Seya started, becoming frightened remembering how silent the watchtower had been. "Well Seya," he began, "I'll help you back to the nearest town, umm, where do you live?" "Hmm? No, I'm not going home, I'm going to the Colosuss." Seya replied. "You really shouldn't" said the boy. "Hey kid, what's your name, I can't say I recoginze that particular getup either. Where're you from?" she asked. "Me? well my name's Link, and I'm from the... the Southern Forest town, Kokikirra." stated Link, hesitiating slightly. "But, why are you going to the Colosuss, alone I mean." He asked curiously. "Well Link, if you have to know, my, my friend left for the Colosuss yesterday, and I wanted to see what was so important." Seya said, beggining to forget Link was there. "Your friend went out there alone?" He asked startled by this news. "Yes, but she's one of the most skilled Gerudo warriors we've had in a long time," Seya started plainly, watching Links mouth fall open. "Hey kid, you okay?" she asked nervously.
"Your a, a Gerudo?" he stuttered. "Um, yeah," Seya said back, beggining to think Link had some hearing problems. "And your, your not gonna throw me in the cell thing, or shoot me with an arrow?" Link asked, stupidly, again... "Why would I? You didn't do anything to me, besides get me severly off track," she replied. "Really?" he said. "Yeah... I have to go now, er, good luck kid. Love your hat by the way, goes with your hair." Seya said as she jumped off the floating carpet onto the sand carpet, ready for the long journey ahead. "Umm, thanks, I guess," Link shouted as he watched the strange Gerudo girl run off into the desert. Although he knew this was their first meeting, he knew it wouldn't be their last.
