Holy Crap, I finished it.
Link went on to wake the Wind Fish. Nobody really knows what happened to him after that. Even though the whole purpose of his voyage was to enlighten himself so as he could protect Hyrule from future attack, he never returned to his homecountry.
Some rumors spread around that the mysterious owl saved Marin from being erased along with the rest of the island, and that she and Link fled of to the foreign land of Calatia and started a family. It is said that their decendents travelled to many lands over many years, finally ending up back in Hyrule, where the Hero and the Princess began another epic quest against the sinister Gannon.
Others say that, griefstrucken due to the loss of his lover, Link sacrificed himself to the sea.
But whatever happened to the couple, It is a know fact that Marin never bought any shoes. She decided she liked being barefoot.
Anyways, look for updates on ZLCL and Kun, and I'm planning some additions for Fluffy Kitty. God, I have a twisted sense of humor.
