Story Notes:
This is the first story I've written so far. I hope everyone likes it!
Oot Great Deku Tree by legendaryboy
I shan't forget what i have experienced before I hath come upon this deadly time
of hour. Tis indeed very mystical and also trajic. I was enjoying
a beautiful morning, twas when a man garbed in black appeared on a horse. He had a
look upon his face that spoke of evil. "Give me the Spiritual Stone
of the Forest," he hath said. "I shan't. It belongs to the Hero of Time," I said.
"Fine. Until you relenquish the Spiritual Stone to me, you will be
cursed!" said the man. And alas, he hath kept his promised and cursed me.
I called my fairy servant Navi to giveth my last request.
"Yes. Why have you called me?" She asked. "Oh Navi
the Fairy, listen to my words, the words of the Great Deku Tree. Dost thou
sense it? The climate of evil descending upon this world? Malevolent
forces even now are mustering to attack our land of Hyrule. For so
long, the Kokiri Forest, the source of life, hath stood on a barrier, deterring outsiders
and maintaining the order of the world. But...Before this tremendous evil
power, even my power is as nothing. It seems the time hath come for the boy with
no fairy to begin his journey, the youth whose destiny it is to lead Hyrule to the path
of justice and truth. Navi...Go now! Find our young friend and guide him to me...I don't
have much time left. Fly, Navi, Fly! The fate of Hyrule, nay, the world, depends upon thee!"
After my information hath past on to Navi, She hath left to seek out the boy. The boy
is the young man of legend. He is one to save hyrule from utter evil. After I hath waited for
an hour, Navi hath finally returned with the boy. "Great Deku Tree, I'm back!" she hath exclaimed.
"Oh Navi, thou hast returned. Young boy...Welcome. Listen carefully to what I, the Deku Tree,
am about to tell thee. Thy slumber these past moons must have been restless and full of
nightmares. As the servants of evil gain strength, a vile climate pervades the land
and causes nightmares to those sensitive to it. Verily, thou hast felt it. Young boy, the
time has come to test thy courage. I hath been cursed. I need you to break the curse
with you wisdom and courage. Enter the Deku Tree, young boy, and thou too, Navi.
Navi the Fairy, thou must aid the young boy. Good luck."
After I hath given the information to the young boy garbed in green, he entered into me.
I hath waited for the young boy to break the cursed that was brought unto me. Alas, he hath
come out, after breaking my curse. "Well done, young boy. Thou hast verily demonstrated
thy courage. I knew that thou wouldst be able to carry out my wishes. Now, i have
yet more to tell ye..." I hath said. I then told the boy the legend of all legends...The creation of Hyrule.
Thou must never allow the desert man in black armor to lay his hands on the Triforce. Thou
must never suffer that man, with his evil heart, to enter the sacred realm of legend. That man who
cast the death curse upon me and sapped my power, because of that curse, my end is nigh."
I then gave him the Spiritual Stone of the Forest. "I believe in thee, for thou art courageous..."
The Great Deku Tree then died of the curse that was set upon him. The young boy,
named Link, then began his journey to save Hyrule. He went through 2 more dungeons, through
six temples, and he defeated the evil king Ganondorf, and the evil beast Ganon. The legend
still survives on the wind's breath. This is the end of the story of the Great Deku Tree.
