The cold of rain,
my greatest pain
i lost my friend
at journeys end
she left me scared
she left me cold
she didn't care
now i've grown old
i don't need her anymore, that is true
but i miss her still, and i'm feeling blue
the rain hides my tears
it's her i blame
i've lost my fears
but i remain with pain
it falls steadily
it falls at a beat
the earth is warm
but wet, near my feat
my hope is gone
i must return
into the dawn
where the sun shall burn
without my friend, one still remains
in a castle, hidden from the gentle rains.
