On Vacation







(Link was up in his room, packing his
clothes. Zelda knocks on the door.
Link tells her to enter. He could
see that she wants to go a trip
with him.)
Zelda
I wanna go with you, Link.

Link
I can't take you. I'm going to Termina
for a vacation.

Zelda
You wanna go without me, don't you?

Link
Be gone just a week.

Zelda
And I suppose you just made up your mind to take
this little vacation at nine o'clock this morning?

Link
No, I was watching "Hyrule News" at 8:00 and
I forgot to tell you.

Zelda
(a little angry)Oh, you forgot.

Zelda, don't be like that.


Zelda
Don't be like what? You just drop a little
announcement that you're going away. Not
tomorrow or next week, but today. No
explanations. Nothing. And I'm supposed to
swallow the excuse that you need a little
vacation.

Look, I just wanna get away from Hyrule for a few
days, that's all.

Zelda
(gets real mad)Get away from this place or get away from
me?

Aw Zelda, please try to understand.

(Zelda pushed his hand away.)

Zelda
How can you ask me to understand anything
like this? No, I'm sorry, but I don't
understand.

(Zelda goes to door, turns back.)

Go to Termina, but don't expect me to
be waiting for you when you get back.

(She slams the door hard. Link stood there, then
resumes packing.)
